Sanvi closed her eyes like she would sleep but she didn't. She stayed curled up against Garin for a while.

After a little while, Sanvi began to stir. She was getting hungry again.

Sanvi leaned over to kiss Garin lightly. "I was just going to hunt," she said. "I'm pretty thirsty."

Sanvi nodded and then she headed out. She went to get only a few deer.
As she was coming back, a sword fell in front of her. She stopped, looking around for how it got there. As she was looking, more swords fell, pinning her to the ground. A man came forward, laughing cruelly. He stood over the struggling Sanvi. "Well, well, a little half-breed?" he chuckled. He snapped his fingers and a note would have appeared on the bed beside Garin saying that this man had found "his little half-breed pet."

Garin had gotten up and dressed by the time the note appeared. He glanced over at it and picked it up, looking worried. He went outside the look for Sanvi.

By that time, the man had freed Sanvi from the swords pinning her down and had knocked her unconscious. He was carrying her back to a cave that he had made his base. When he got her there, he bound her with things to negate her vampire side and her demon side.
Garin would have found some blood on the ground where the swords had cut Sanvi.

Garin growled to himself and then tried to follow her scent.

It would have been difficult, but not impossible, for Garin to track her.
Meanwhile, Sanvi had woken up. The man demanded for her to agree to murder some people and spy on some others but he didn't give a reason. Sanvi kept refusing, and the man proceeded to torture her, trying to make her agree.

Garin eventually found his way to the cave where they were. He ran inside, intending to rip the man apart.
