"Come see me again in the morning before you go so I can make sure you're all right." The nurse said to Sere as she was leaving.
"I will. Thankyou." The girl said softly. She head to the back where the dorms were, having been told that there were plenty of rooms left. She had thought about saving the shower until morning but figured that she would probably be able to sleep better if she got some of the dirt off her.
Sere undressed her self in front of the mirror so she could see all the damage she had taken. For sure she was going to have a black eye. She could already see the bruising starting under her eyes. He shoulder was already a wonderful shade of purple an would probably be black by morning. Sere felt around her ribs where there was now a big red welt from where Mike had kicked her. They didn't feel broken, but they were surely bruised and would probably feel a lot worse tomorrow as well. She took her long blond hair out of it's braid and let some of the sand fall to the floor as she shook it out. 'Tomorrow is going to be just as long a day.' She thought. 'I should probably skip seeing Alex before I hop on that boat. I'm not really in the mood for questions, and she wouldn't take kindly to me looking like this after only a week of being on my own.'
Serenity hopped in the shower. She had to be careful not to move her left arm too much, which made washing her hair slightly more difficult. Plus the pulsating water made everything hurt that much more. She made it quick. When she got out she carefully brushed through her hair then crawled into bed, but something was missing. She reached down to her belt and pulled off George's pokeball, releasing the mudkip. He happily joined her on the bed.
"I'll explain it to you in the morning." She said when she noticed the pokemon studying the scar on her right wrist. She kissed the mudkip's forehead then drifted off to sleep.

"This is incredible." Milo said to himself, chuckling at Maz's improvised 'turnabout'. "Once again, you sacrifice what could be an effective counterattack for pointless theatrics. You remind me so much of my other half it makes me sick to my stomach." He didn't move and inch as the wall of water approached. "Yes, that's what I'll do; run." Mazarin's stupid unaware smile made the soon-to-be counter-counterattack all the sweeter. "Cloyster, let's nail the dumb s**t to the wall with an Ice Beam."
With pleasure, thought the bivalve as he charged up for one of his favorite attacks. The air nearby the two gained a momentary chill before gathering on the tip of Shiver's front spike. It glowed a whitish blue shine, frost creeping up on the surrounding grass. He fired the frigid beam, arcing it into a curved formation. It slammed into the oncoming wave, transforming it into a wall of solid ice, the symmetry broken only by the boy and his Sharpedo, still encased in their ludicrous pose.
"Hang ten." chuckled Milo, pondering just what attack to finish the boy off with.

Crenu was lost in thought at the moment, finding his thoughts settling on random things that may or may not have been important. The first thing that came to mind were his pokemon. Larvitar had recently evolved into Pupitar, as a matter of fact his Poliwag evolved into a Poliwhirl only hours before. Ariados wasn't going to evolve anymore, at least not to his knowledge, and neither was Hitmonlee. Four pokemon...an unlucky number in some cultures. He had said he was planning on catching a pokemon or two in this region, but in reality he didn't know a damn thing about them. Their names, their types, the moves they should be able to use, nothing. I'm gonna have to get some research done when I get a chance. Maybe Riza knows some stuff about the pokemon here. It was at that point that he remembered that she had also said she was interested in catching some pokemon here in the Hoenn region. What type of pokemon was she looking for? Come to think of it, what type of pokemon was he looking for? A well balanced team was important, but specializing wasn't so bad so long as you had other types to back you up. He had always been rather fond of ice types, maybe he'd go for one next. Maybe even two? He wondered what Riza thought about ice types, but quickly forgot. Wait a sec, why do I care what she thinks about my type preference? And why does she keep popping up in my thoughts!? I barely know her, not sure I'd even call her a friend or anything. But we are right? Friends? More? Wait what!? I did take that Poison Fang for her, still wondering whhy the hell I did that in the first place. Coulda had a pokemon take the hit, woulda been safer. This is all so irrational, must be more tired than I thought. Crenu suddenly snapped out of his thoughts when he suddenly heard Riza jump up from her bed and turned to see her already at the Window looking out. That was strange, did she see something outside? Whatever it was that had her worked up so suddenly, it probably wasn't his concern. With a crack of his neck, Crenu decided that he'd at least try and get some sleep. "Don't star gaze for too long...or do, I don't really care." There, that sounded more like him. Crenu made his way over to the bed and pulled back the sheets, it'd been so long since he'd slept in a bed he thought he might have forgotten what it was like. Ever the modest man who had a tendency to become forgetful when he was tired, Crenu undid his shorts and let them drop leaving them at the side of the bed where he'd find them in the morning. He'd slept in his boxers for as long as he could remember, though a quick glance around the room reminded him of the present company and he quickly jumped under the sheets. He lay on his back staring up at nothing, closing his eyelids and opening them up again as he continued to think still very much awake. It was the same every night, he'd be wide awake with his head still buzzing with thoughts until he'd suddenly nod off without warning.

It was the sun that woke her up. Serenity cursed it. All she wanted to do was continue sleeping. She felt as though she could sleep forever. She soon found out though that George was also awake, and started to nudge her to get out of bed. Sere attempted to roll over but her shoulder and pretty much everything else told her that she wasn't getting up just yet. "Dammit!" She cursed. She had almost forgotten everything that had gone on the day before. Tears formed in her eyes as it all came flooding back.
George couldn't help but feel as though he had missed something very important. His trainer didn't look so good, and that was an understatement. He nudged her again softly but that only seemd to make things worse. Serenity pulled him close, using the arm that now had an interesting pattern in the skin. 'Is that what humans call a scar? How did she get a scar? Where was I?' He suddenly felt very helpless. He realized he was only small but wasn't part of his job to protect his trainer? She started to cry as she held him close.
Sere held the mudkip close and tried to pull herself back together. She didn't have that much time to make the trek back to Lilycove. If she thought about it, she didn't really want to make the trek back to Lilycove. She wanted to close her eyes and pull the sheets back over her head. Insted however, she managed some how to get up and get dressed, although with her arm the way it was it took her forever, and was far more painful then she thought it was going to be. In between curses Sere filled George in as to what happened, leaving out the moments that she considered especially dumb, like leaving her hand in the flame created by Mike's glove for just a little too long. Her wrist was still really tender.
Pokemon and trainer left the room, and headed back to the main part of the pokecentre. She thought she had seen the red headed boy from the night before 'Keegan?' but couldn't be sure. If it was him, he didn't look any better than she. In fact she almost thought he looked worse. Serentity stopped in quickly to see the nurse an assure her that she would be alright before she headed out. She had thought for a moment that she should stop to eat, but the thought of food only turned her stomach. It was only half a days walk normally back up to Lilycove, she could get something to eat there. 'Normally. In the condition you're in, it'll take more then a day.' The nagging little voice inside her head told her. She found it funny that the voice sounded an awful lot like Alex. To settle it she stopped at the Poke-Mart, bought a bottle of water, and a sandwhich just incase she did in fact take too long, and wanted something to eat.

Kilik managed to find his footing and pulled himself away from the girl. This was it. They had this match in the bag. "Cable, use Thunderpunch!" he commanded. Blasting that Pidgeot was going to be easy - the two may have been boyfriend and girlfriend, but they had no synergy. He clenched his fist and smirked. He knew that Cable was much too strong for even a fully evolved Pokemon like Pidgeot!
Cable jumped a few feet back, giving him enough room to charge up the Thunderpunch. Again, he spun his arm like a wheel and the same turbine-like noise began to fill the air. Sparks began to shower around him. He had to time this just right! The plug planted his feet tightly into the ground as the bird slammed into him He pushed with all of his might and finally let the Thunderpunch fly, crashing it hard against the Pidgeot's beak.
"Oh...What! Oh noooo!" He cried out, putting his hands on his head. Eric couldn't believe it. The Pidgeot had fainted and the Blaziken was on the way there. "G-get out of...get out of the way!" he yelled. Yet the Fire-type was too enamored by the Gardevoir. Slowly, he felt the Psychic overtake him and he was sent flying behind his trainer. Quickly, the couple recalled their Pokemon.
"...I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!!" the man cried, running off with his girl.
"Now who's the crier?" Kilik laughed, glancing over at Mitsu from the corner of his eye. He smiled half way again. "Good job. I think it was the Attraction that saved us." The boy placed a hand on her shoulder. Cable stretched and watched the couple walk away. That was easy! At this rate, he was going to evolve soon, no problem. Elekid began to walk alongside his trainer, swinging his arms happily.
=*=
Mazarin let out a scream right before becoming totally encased in ice. Think he'll stop me that way? he thought, his eyes still moving to see the boy and his Cloyster on the ground. Talk about some Ice Beam. Impressive from such an under leveled Cloyster. He felt the Sharpedo shaking beneath him. The shark was mad! More than mad! After a few moments, the ice shattered. A very very cold Mazarin emerged on top of the frozen wave, panting heavily. Sharpedo had managed to use his Thrash attack to shatter the ice! "Good job," he gulped, a chill running down his spine.
"Oh..." he glanced at his wings. They had torn slightly. His eyes widened. "You...you..." his body shook with rage and cold. He recalled the Shark Pokemon and surveyed his options. He had to figure out something to do. What I wouldn't give for Cable right now. "Oh wait," he sent out Banette one more time, who was finally free of his Confusion. "Thunderbolt!" he cried out, staying on top of the frozen wave. The ghost fluttered down to the Cloyster then disappeared. Banette reappeared on top of the Pokemon, casually lounging on his head. He looked down with his zipper smile and waved, his body exploding with electricity.

"I know, Jae, I know. I was joking, alright? Grow a sense of humour, would you?" Keegan shook his head and sighed, flicking a bit of ash to the ground. He was reluctant to say, though he knew he shouldn't be. "My next gym challenge is in Petalburg," he said finally, looking over at Jaeshan again. "You're only on Dewford? What gives, you should be well past Fortree by now," though he realized after a moment or two Jaeshan probably had his reasons and there was no strict law that said he couldn't do it the way he wanted. "Actually though..." Keegan had another drag and studied the burning end of his cigarette. "I want to go catch myself a few new Pokemon. New blood in my party, I guess." He nodded, and looked up at the sky. "I need a flying Pokemon. One that's big enough to actually fly with." His tone was somewhat dejected yet torn, as even though he cared a great deal for his Swellow, she just wasn't big enough to carry him. But, then again he knew if he sent her back home she'd have plenty of fun playing with the other Pokemon, though he figured she'd probably cause some trouble. "I dunno. What do you think?" he asked honestly, looking to Jaeshan again. ===== "One more time, Gengar," Morty called out, remaining in his usual pose of having his arms folded across his chest. His eyes were still closed and he was confident that this strike would be the Pidgeotto's last. The Gengar laughed loudly and clapped its hands together, creating a ball of lightning this time that he tossed up and down a few times before hurling it at Aska. One remains, Morty thought, opening his eyes in time to see the lightning hit its mark.
Aska's pained cries were too much for Miharu to bear and she recalled the Pidgeotto quickly, thanking her for a job well done. She took out that Haunter... I'm very proud, she thought, sighing heavily. There was only one thing left for her to do, and Miharu smiled over at Morty, knowing now that his Gengar had been his secret weapon. Well, she had one too, and she held up the Pokeball for him to see before she flung it. "Tingle! Use your Confusion!" she commanded, watching as her Metang appeared before her. The steel and psychic type was looking at its trainer instead of its opponent, though when it saw the annoyed look Miharu gave it whirled around like a top, pointing a clawed hand at the Gengar before sending out a blast of psychic energy. "Thank goodness..." Miharu murmured, knowing very well that she would have been in trouble if Tingle had decided not to listen to her.

"Heh," Mitsu laughed, feeling the rush of a victory. "Thanks," Mitsu said, "Karri can work wonders with that attack." The girl smiled, flashing an even bigger grin at her Gardevior before reducing it to normal proportions. Man it felt good! "It feels good to win," Mitsu said, her smile only wanning a litte around the edges. "And thanks. You can Cable did pretty good too."
"Attraction, eh?" Karri replied slyly, "I knew it. You had interest in me after all Kilik!" The Gardevior laughed, her elegant ballroom style gown flowing over the ground as she trailed Mitsu and Kilik, and cabl who had decided to join the ranks of the leading duo.
Mitsu laughed. Geez Karri. You've got to get at everyone don't you? "So, uh, what do you want to do now? We don't need to stop by the Pokemon Center or anything do we?" she asked, making sure he really was ok. Though chances are, being a guy, he'll probably ignore or dismiss any of the pains he had.

Milo frowned slightly as Maz called out for a Thunderbolt. While Cloyster's defensive power was one of the best in the entire world, it traded that for a severe weakness to special attacks, such as this little light show. The attack looked like it stung, but no matter, they weren't finished yet. "Cloyster, counter with your-HURK!"
My what? Shiver thought, aiming a quizzical stare in his trainer's direction. Something was wrong, Mike was shaking violently. The shook the pesky ghost off his head and hopped over to his trainer, nudging him slightly and letting out a somewhat scared "Cloy?"
"What are you doing!?" Milo cried out in a rage, waving his arms in a futile attempt to fight off his other half. "Getting out of here!" replied Mike, his voice strained. "I won't let them throw me in a padded cell!" "That's what I'm trying to do you insipid moron!" But it was too late. Regaining control, Mike recalled Shiver and sent out Napalm. "Smokescreen Napalm, we need to get out of here!" he cried, eager to make an escape.
Sensing the urgency in Mike's voice, the Magby took in a deep breath, and exhaled a cloud of thick black smoke. Before he could figure out what they were actually running from, he was snatched up by his trainer, and the two made a break for the Vermillion Gym.
Mike practically crashed through the doors of the Gym. "Thank god they are still open!" he cheered, panting heavily. Hopefully that nutjob (he laughed in his head at the irony of that statement) didn't see him run this way. After catching his breath, the boy took a look around. The lights were still on, and the trainers were still here; all three of them. He looked down to Napalm and shrugged. "Eh, might as well." Mike said, walking into the battle zone.

"You okay there, 'Lani?" M.A. called out from behind the shield. Now that it had served its purpose, the wall crashed into the ground as a pile of paint before evaporating into the air. The brunette didn't mind taking a loss in a battle, and knew that unlike Daemyn and Tora, Ulani would not be too persistent on continuing, especially if she felt disgustingly dirty as she was. However, the boy, noting M.A. toying with a Pokeball, shook his head vigorously. "No! You don't dare pull away; we can't lose! We're strong!" he yelped, a shaking finger pinpointing the brunette as if it were a gun. M.A. raised a brow skeptically, though in truth she was very astonished by the vigor in his voice. She dropped her hands to her side, feeling much like a criminal caught red-handed but also beginning to feel that she had become a convenient punching bag for the kid. Okay, so he lost your Pokemon, and that's tough, but what did beating her have to do with it? This was pointless.
The Swalot squinted, its sentiments the same as its trainer. It was not weak. It had to prove that. He too had lost his four other teammates, and it was because he hadn't been able to stand up once more and confront those Rockets. They had left him because they pitied him, mocked the putrid bag of gas. With a great groan of effort, the Pokemon threw its large body ontop of the fallen bird, who didn't know what was coming. First there was this nasty gunk in her eyes, then 150 pounds of seeping poison belly-flopped right on top of her! Needless to say, she wasn't looking too good once the Swalot finally rolled off due to her pecking his belly in desperation.
M.A. regained her resolve by then, and without hesitation recalled the ailing Swablu blankly. She wasn't sure if the Swablu was poisoned or not, and it didn't seem like it, but enough was enough.
You're weak. You're weak. What are you trying to prove?
"What are you trying to prove?" the girl said levelly, the gas mask evaporating off her face now. She was a bit irritated now.
"I'm strong," the boy sobbed now, clutching his empty belt. The emptiness ate at him. "We're strong."
"Your Pokemon's strong, yeah. But I don't think you are," she said, the words coming on their own accord without much thought. "Strength isn't running around and finding someone to beat down. It's not yelling at the world, wishing that things could change."
The kid wiped his snot away, but sobbed harder. His Pokemon. His friends. They were gone, and he didn't even know where, and they weren't coming back... All the good times they shared, the sweat and the tears, their idealistic dreams of being the best trainer ever... They had grown strong together. But that had all been shattered by chance, just by meeting the wrong people. Stronger Rockets, stronger than himself in turn of strength. "W-what is strength, then? What can I do? I can't save them... I can't," he snivelled, quiet now. They were not alone on this desolate street; some shop owners, trying to clean up their businesses, were watching the soap unfold, eyes sympathetic to the boy.
"You know honestly... I don't know either," she said, sighing. The passionate voice within her mind had quieted, leaving only silence and no idea as to how to comfort the child in front of her. She wasn't good with kids. "At least you're strong enough to stand, and that's a start. Now keep walking, I guess," she murmured, patting the kid's head before continuing on her way. The child's anguish had got her pondering, and once she started she didn't see very much of the world in front of her anymore. Diego trotted behind her, painting a bouquet of the most beautiful flowers for the boy. The sparkled in the dim sunlight.
When they had disappeared around the corner, the bouquet dissipated, leaving the boy and his Pokemon on his own again. "Well," the child say drying his tears, his tone flat. "Let's keep going too, you and me."

What would M.A. have done if the Rockets had succeeded in taking away Daemyn? Tora? Ulani? Diego? She wasn't sure how she'd feel if that happened, and tried imagining the situation. The idea was nauseating in itself, however, and the brunette forced herself to pull her mind away from that direction. She retained, however, a realization that she had taken them all for granted. They were good to her.
Ulani wiggled out of her Pokeball then, black as tar and bruised a teensy bit, but otherwise fine by physical standards. She struggled to fly over to a water fountain and then insisted that Diego would hold down the button for her. He shrugged, complying, deciding it was more trouble to argue with this bird than anything; she was exhausting, really, this one. Yet he didn't always mind her persistence, he decided, watching the bird rub herself down. In a few minutes' time, the Swablu was soaking wet, clean and feeling more herself. She shook herself off like a wet dog before placing herself on M.A.'s shoulder, decidedly not looking at her trainer.
If Daemyn and Tora had been put into that battle, they would have put in a much better fight than that. Hell, Diego might have even fared better. Ulani hadn't even put a dent on that gluttonous blob. Although she typically didn't care very much for casual battling -- it seemed pointless to her, really -- she nevertheless felt very ashamed. Sure, it had been a dumb fight with a passive-aggressive kid, but battles were battles, and the transparent truth hurt. And worst yet, M.A. didn't believe that the bird would retaliate. She believed right, too, and that made Ulani feel even more ashamed of herself.
"Sorry for putting you in there," M.A. said, patting the bird's head gently. "I know you don't like it when it's not fun." The Swablu sighed, the usually cheery bird feeling rather dejected.

Riza looked over her shoulder as she heard Crenu climb into bed, smirking a bit at his comment. He was doing that a lot all of a sudden, wasn't he? Saying that he didn't care, but Riza sensed that he really did. It was a good thing she didn't see him in just his boxers though, otherwise she would have been blushing like crazy. She looked around the room, spotting an extra blanket on one of the shelves and she grabbed it before heading over to the bed. 'If he thinks I'm sleeping on the floor he's sadly mistaken,' she thought, climbing up onto the bed. She stretched out and covered herself with the blanket. She knew it wouldn't be long until she fell asleep. The day had been long, and very busy. She rolled onto her side, closing her eyes. "G'night Crenu, sleep well," she murmured, falling asleep only moments later.

A loud crash outside shot Mike back down to reality, the jingle from his new metallic bracelet as he turned to look only serving to make him even more on edge. It must have been Maz! He knows I'm in here! panicked the boy, letting out a short yelp of fright before rushing off to Surge. However, much to his dismay, there was a large electric barrier preventing him from reaching the Gym Leader. "Oh no." Mike said with a slight quiver. He remembered Kasiya telling him about a puzzle in her father's gym, something that had to do with the systematic row of trash cans strewn about the place. Mike had totally missed them when he first ran over, now feeling quite stupid as they were pretty obvious now. No time for self depreciation, he had Milo for that. Now was the time for action.
Mike rushed over to one of the trash cans, followed closely by Napalm, who was still trying to figure out why his trainer was acting so scared. Was that Pokemon man outside after him? He must have been a really strong trainer to make Mike so scared. The boy leaned forward, inspecting the inside. "No, not here!" he cried, moving on to the next one. "Aha!" There was a little blinking button inside! "This must be it!" With a happy cheer Mike pushed the button and looked to the energy fence, disappointed that only one of them was turned off. One more. Mike raced to the next one over, pressing the button without first examining it. Before he noticed that it was not blinking he had already pressed it, and was rewarded with the barrier turning back on full blast.
An automated voice came over the loudspeakers. The electric locks have reset! It's calm voice was almost taunting in how dryly it spoke.
"ARGH!" Mike screamed, jumping back slightly as a rather large man walked over, an amused smirk on his face. He was dressed in a typical sailor's uniform, which fight tightly to his muscular body.
"Having trouble with Vermilion Gym's famous trap, kid?" He chuckled, crossing his arms. "I'll gi-"
"Please!" Mike cried out in desperation, running over and clinging to the man's shirt. There was an utterly terrified look in his eyes. "I have to see Surge, I need his help! Someone's after me and I don't have time to screw around with some stupid puzzle!"
It was then that the sailor noticed Mike's handcuffs. "Um, well kid, I can't just disregard the rules. I could get fired. But I'll tell you what. I'll uh, give you a hint about the our system if you can beat me in a match." He held out a Pokeball, shooting a very uncertain smile at the boy.
"Okay, okay," Mike said with a quick nod. "I understand. Thank you. But let's get this over quick, I'm in a rush, send both of your Pokemon out." He pointed to the other ball on the sailor's belt. "Just get ready with that hint because I'm taking you out fast. No offense."
"Alright then," replied the sailor, not sure how to take the boy's request. "I'll use my two Pikachu. Don't underestimate them just because they're small!" With a flick of his wrist, two very energetic looking Pikachu were sent out. The hopped in place, their cheeks crackling with static electricity.
Napalm stepped forward, putting on his best game face, but was stopped by his trainer. "Sorry buddy," Mike said with a shake of his head. "I know you'd be able to take them on easily, but I need to keep you for later." The Magby's beak dropped in disappointment. He really wanted to fry these two. After taking on that Snorlax and Hitmonchan with the help of Cable and the Pupitar, he was eager to try out his new Fire Punch technique and surprise Mike with it. Napalm let out a happy honk as he imagined his trainer's surprised and glee-filled expression in response to his new attack.
"Felsic, I need a quick win here." Mike said, quickly tossing his Pokeball onto the ground, releasing his Typhlosion. The sailor's eyes widened slightly, now aware of the substantial mismatch. "Take the one on the right first with your Crush Claw. Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!"
Sounded fine to him. No use in beating around the bush when it came to battles. Felsic liked it much better to just power on through the competition and finish off whoever was left standing. The Typhlosion got down on all fours, letting out a bark and flaring his mane before rushing forward towards one of the two Pikachu, his arm and scarf glowing white.

Bubbles filled the air around Hades and there were too many to form any kind of escape. The refracted light of the small orbs caught his attention. How pretty he thought, they're like pocket sized rainbows... His thought process was interrupted by the sudden burst of pain on his face as the bubble attack connected. Thinking about things that aren't battling, during a battle is never a good thing.
"Are you ok Hades!?" came a cry from the side lines, "Are you even paying attention!?" The pigtail haired girl questioned her obviously distracted Pokemon. This may be their first real battle, but they could do better than that right? "Ok, use your Night Shade attack now." Junko commanded with an intense look on her face.
The ghost shook himself to erase the bubble attack from his mind. He quickly turned back to face his opponent. No more trailing off, he wanted to do his best for his partner. While staring at Monsoon his eye became a glowing red(even more so than before, if that's possible). Once he was sure he was locked on his target, Hades threw out his tongue and shot a single black beam from his eye towards the Squirtle.

Kasiya stayed in the hospital room for a while longer, not thinking about anything, really. Her heart, her mind, and even her body seemed to feel numb, and all she could do was lie there, subconsciously running her hands through the soft fur of Hiro's mane. She closed her eyes, suddenly missing Shocker terribly. The Raichu always knew just how to cheer her up, though Ariel and Hiro were doing a fine enough job. How could I let something like that happen? she thought, going over the day's events in her mind. I just lost it back there... I let Shocker down... I let Mai take her from me... Tears formed in the corners of her eyes as she recalled the looks on the faces of her friends. Mitsu, Kilik... Keegan. Even though she'd never done anything to directly hurt them she had, and there was nothing she could think to do that would help. "The ball? I'd rather go with Mai." She could hear Keegan's words echoing in her mind, and that just made everything hurt even worse. "I really wanted to go with him to that ball," she mumbled sadly. "He was going to be like... the prince, and I was going to be the princess," she managed to stutter out, and then just like that she was laughing. Ariel and Hiro both looked at her like she was insane. "Now he thinks... he thinks! Ha ha! He thinks I don't love him... he thinks I love Mike! And I do... but not... it's not..." Her voice trailed off and she shook her head, balling the edge of the blanket into a crumpled mess in her lap. She took several deep, calming breaths and looked at her Pokemon. "It doesn't matter anyway, he loves Flannery. He always has. I'm more like..." she paused, giggling slightly, "I'm like an annoying little sister, always getting into trouble and needing to be rescued."
When her Pokemon's comforting gazes changed to those of pity Kasiya recalled them. She refused to let them feel sorry for her, when this mess was her own fault. She wasn't going to cry anymore. She quickly gathered up a few things and procured a quick shower, though she quickly learned that washing her hair was going to be an issue. Not wanting to pester the night nurse anymore she called out Leviathan, who at first was very confused by her trainer's request, but was soon helping to wash the girl's hair. Kasiya thanked the Marshtomp for her help and finished washing up, wincing as the water stung some of her cuts, particularly the one on her forehead above her right eye where she'd gotten up close and personal with the pavement, thanks to Mai. It had been closed up by two small stitches but that didn't make it hurt any less. Feeling much better after her shower and (albeit short) rest, Kasiya got dressed, glad to see that her outfit hadn't been damaged pretty much at all during the Rocket incident, save for one minor tear here or there. She was all set and ready to leave the hospital, though it seemed like something was missing. Deciding that she really didn't need to rush out of here all at once, she sat down on the bed to think.
=-=-=-=-= "Well actually, I started my gym challenge in Kanto, you see, and I recently decided that I wanted to come home and earn badges from my home region. It's no big deal," Jaeshan said with a shrug. He thought about Keegan said about a Flying-type, realizing suddenly that he didn't have one himself (and yes, the poor blonde boy was clueless as to what Shelgon's final evolution had in store...). "I'm not sure," he said, scratching his chin. "Ooh, but I did get my PokeDex upgraded just now. Maybe we should sit down and look through it?" His stomach grumbled loudly just then, and he gave an embarrassed laugh. "Maybe over breakfast?" he added with a shrug. Keegan seemed to need a friend right now, and even though the redhead wasn't exactly his most favourite of people, Jaeshan decided to let it slide. "What do you think? Breakfast? My treat." Maybe if he got to know Keegan a little better the two could actually be friends. Stranger things had happened. Speaking of strange, he glanced around suddenly, realizing that Kasiya was nowhere to be found. Okay, that's kind of strange, since they were like... joined at the hip for most of yesterday, he thought, but shrugged. Maybe they just needed a break from each other? If the poor boy only knew.

"You've got a PokeDex too?" Keegan asked sullenly, though he didn't dwell on it. Jaeshan had probably gotten his from Professor Birch in Littleroot Town, like most trainers just starting out would have done and Keegan felt quite dumb for not thinking of doing the same thing. He hadn't needed a Pokemon, no, but the PokeDex would have been really nice. "I wonder if I could still get one," he mused aloud, looking to Jae as he heard him mention breakfast. "Yeah, sounds good," he nodded. "A birthday breakfast. Great." He laughed out loud for no apparent reason and tossed his cigarette but on the ground and crushed it with his heel. Only Kasiya had known today was his birthday, aside from family and well, Mike and Flannery, but he knew very well that none of them would be sending any well-wishes his way today. "Lead the way," he said finally, deciding he'd be content with wherever Jaeshan chose to take them for breakfast. ===== The Confusion attack slammed into Gengar's stomach, forcing him to stagger back from it. The ghost's usually grinning mouth was twisted into an angry sort of scowl and he pointed an angry finger in the Metang's direction. "Dammit," Morty whispered, closing his eyes. "Shadow Ball," he commanded, without opening them again. The ghost jumped high into the air, rearing back his hand like he was throwing a baseball. A dark orb appeared in his palm seconds before he hurled it towards Tingle.
"Take it, Tingle!" Miharu shouted, looking up at the shadowy Gengar. She had to admit that even though it was probably the creepiest Pokemon she'd met thus far on her journey, it was also one of the strongest. The Shadow Ball hit Tingle directly between the eyes, but the Metang was not deterred. If anything, it seemed to be a little... angry. "Now hit him with your Metal Claw!" the small girl shouted, seemingly as fired up as her Pokemon.
Tingle emitted a loud, ear-splitting humming noise before it shot straight up into the air like a rocket, then stopped on a dime and flew at the Gengar, arms raised up high and ready to strike. The humming became more like an angry sounding siren as the Metang's claws tore into the ghostly Pokemon's body, causing him to cry out in pain.
