i guess everyone has a different way of saying it.
i'd usually refer them as pop or the name of the drink also.

Here we call it soda, or the name of the soda. Mainly the latter, so you won't have to go through the trouble of specifying what kind. P:
I absolutely HATE how they don't sell croquettes here. So far, no luck trying to make them at home. ):

It's kinda like when you go to order ice cream:
I'll have some ice cream please.
What kind?
Vanilla
versus
I'll have some vanilla please.
Okay~
Look at the difference, you save 2 syllables and immediately get the message to the server ;O
I'll remember to love,
You taught me how.
