Aislann saw his brothers resting on a bench. Etinenne nowhere in sight. The time was now.
He appeared before them. Dessik was curled up asleep but right now it didn't matter. He glared at Corutai who gave an equal stared of his own. For long moments, this was all there was. They weren't even thought-speaking.
Aislann looked away first and then started thought-speaking. "I'm sorry for hurting Dae the way I did. But I hadn't meant to. All I wanted was to get away but you know I could never not come when she calls." He rubbed his temples, when he didn't get any real response. "It just that Big Mouth's hand was on me, I could not escape, Taish, and the problem was I didn't want to. I didn't care what really happened to you guys so as long as I got power."

"You know, I remember when I was under Big Mouth's grasp," Corutai said aloud, "I rampaged, I killed, but one thing I never did was hurt my family. When I was off, I was still cranky and it's almost like going cold turkey. I still rampaged, I still killed, but I never hurt my family." Corutai got up trying not to wake up Dessik though he had a distinct feeling he was already awake.

Aislann backed as Taish got up. He was much taller than he last remember and if he wasn't imagining things he'd swore he saw a glimmer of the metallic kind near his temples. Aislann had never been afraid of Taish or Dessik, but right now, Taish looked ferocious. "Well, seeing that you were older than me when you were taken, you knew how to control yourself. I was just a little kid when I was taken the first time and then again before I left." He pointed his finger in Taish's face, a berave move when he was sure Taish was about to bite his finger off.
"You don't know how it feels to have it happen to you again and again. It's like holding a piece of meat in front of you and not expecting you to drool over it. I was just a little kid, Taish. I'm scared for life with this need. I want to be strong. I want to be better than..." He paused but he knew that Taish knew what he was going to say.

"You know what, damn it? I settling this right now. We battle in the park. Five minutes from the time I end this conversation. I'm tired of you and Dessik testing my leadership of this family. Well, from now on, we will find out who is supposed to be stronger. Who is stronger. And if you don't show, Aislann, you concieted a**, I will banish you from the pack. I mean it. I don't want to see Dae hurt, but if this is what it's going to take to knock some sense into you then so be it. Be there, and Dessik, you be there too so you can see what I mean." He said, knowing full well, Dessik had been listening on.
