Am I the only one that:
-likes listening to music that calms and scares you at the same time?
-writes dark and violent stories but can still hold romance and deep meaning?
Bleh. It seems like it. You forget MySpace was the original haven for stuff like that.
And that there are over thousands of identical users who share your hobbies and interests.
But they can't even spell "favor".
And you said music, which means I must shamelessly promote a band that fits your description.
Faust sort of fits the mold, along with
Angel 'In Heavy Syrup. They're both pretty much the kings of my Space-Rock playlist along with
Frank Zappa and
Ozric Tentacles. Both have nervous little arrangements taking advantage of any otherwordly sounds or any quirky kind of instrumentation.
Angel 'In Heavy Syrup reminds me of a 60s Psych band, even without the
Genesis like album cover. Plus they're from Japan. Plus it's three girls. From Japan.
surprised Fall of Troy makes me feel as if something's creeping up behind me, but their fast paced music and mastery of instruments keep me interested. Though I hate the gravel eating kind of vocals they have.
Hawkwind is awesome. They can be really relaxing, but their lyrics can creep me out. Especially
Spirit of the Age.
