River jumped startled at the sudden noise, giving one glance to the happy woman that took a seat before eyeing Artemis with curiosity. "Hello there. May I be of assistance?" She asked, assuming her post as a helper among the bar even if she didnt work there. It was just as well.

"oh no, haha, I just.." Artemis paused. The questioned reminded her of herself one year ago when she worked here as a maid. She smiled and nodded to River.
"My name is Artemis. I moved in a few weeks ago. How do you do?"

"...I'm River. Been here a few nights after the Inn opened. Still havent left.." Staring at her smile she blinked away her concern with a soft look. "Now, You don't want anything to drink? Fine." Nodding some to her conclusion she started to make the coffee again, craving water suddenly.

"To drink? Unless you have some ale, I'm not too interested." Artemis replied sarcastically.
"Since it's been open... wow. Do you work here?" She became curious and forgot to hold her questions.

Grumbling at her sarcasum river started to become Il-tempered but held her ground no less," Ale? Am I..Supposed to know what that is?" She asked slightly miffed before shurgging it off with the question she asked," No, I don't work he I find it rather Irritating dealing with some people, So I never really started working here per-say. It's just help."

Artemis was still for a moment and did not respond. She sipped her hot chocolate and set it back down.
"I see.. it's nice to find kind people." She commented softly, attempting to lower the tension.

Finding Artemis a nice enough person River began to calm herself. All the while filling a glass with water as she spoke. " Kind people are indeed a treasure.." The glass now filled rose to her lips as she took the long drink she felt she needed, finishing off the glass with one breath. Letting the air in her lungs out she panted for a short period of time to gather her breath again and looked at her with mild amusment. "..Though I have no Idea who you are speaking of when you say that."

Artemis laughed lightly. She finished off her hot chocolate and stretched her stomach. She watched River drink the water. Night was beginning to take a toll on her.
"Cold weather lately, huh?" Artemis asked, breaking the ice a bit.

Thinking on it she shook her head, "I've not notice, Is it really cold? I never notice unless I get sick." Nodding some slightly ashamed of her mean streak of illnesses the weeks before this. Shrugging some she sipped on the now fresh hot coffee that steamed some. " ....What...is held in your room?" River asked wishing to speak of something other then the weather outside.

Artemis widen her eyes, suprised and stunned. "Well, furniture I suppose.. I took only a few belongings, such as clothes and books to read..." she grew silent, not mentioning the weapons underneath her bed.
"It's not the best decorated room, but it's cozy." She added, chuckling.

Her eyes narrowed at the suprise the other held, was it that unexpected? " I've got darkness..no lights a bed, a chair, many small puppets, and other strange things most people wouldn't want to know about. I also...have candles.." She murmured thinking of the sweet smoky smell they gave off when blow out. Sighing some at the feeling, " The candles...are wonderful."

"candles... are lovely." Artemis agreed slowly. "I don't believe I have candles... I have a nightstand lamp. I usually open the curtains and let in the sunlight."
She stretched her toes and flexed her fingers.

She hissed softly at the word, sunlight and let her gaze fall to the counter." Sunlight is annoying and I'd rather not have it littered, or any other forms of light for that matter, in my room." A grunt excaped her as she moved and felt the strain in her left arm.

"ahh... sorry. Hehe, I guess I'm just cheap and relies on a free source of energy." She joked. She yawned and bowed low.
"I'm quite tired.. I think I will rest. It was nice meeting you, River." She smiled, waved and walked over to the chair where her book lay. She looked back once more, then walked upstairs and into her room.

"Good night Artemis.." River spoke alone down stairs again to her own thoughts. This was nice in a sence she just hoped she wasn't as creepy as most people in town put her off to be.
