When I was little, probably around seven years old or so, my younger sister threw a spoon at me during one of her many temper tantrums.
She missed, but totally destroyed one of the glass panes on our coffee table in the living room. We were pulled out of the area without incident, and my mother vacuumed up the remaining pieces.
The following morning, I'm enjoying a cinnamon roll while watching Inspector Gadget, knelt down in front of our recently destroyed coffee table. When I'm finished, I move to stand up and scrape my knee against the coffee table. Nothing serious, I heard a weird crunching noise, but didn't think much of it.
I go to give my mom my dirty plate and she screams at me. So I look down and I'm just gushing blood from my knee, which prompts my intense crying fit.
We go to the hospital and they remove a two-inch long piece of glass that had somehow sunk all the way into my knee. Scar is...pretty much gone now, but you can tell where the hair refuses to grow.

OH. I thought you had like...actually gotten a scar from a spoon.
That makes a whole lot more sense.

Damn, I was hoping for some spoon-related horror story.
"This is my manly scar from a horrific spooning accident fifteen years ago."

Were it not for the spoon this scarring childhood experience could have been avoided entirely.
It was all that damn utensil's fault.

You haven't known Dessie long if you think that he's prone to long-lasting bouts of good health.
