Necro Fusion Now it's MY turn, Caliedah. I LOVE my unit of Lesser Daemons to death. They have killed everything from swarms of Tyranids, to carnifexes, to wraiths, to Necron warriors accompanied with a lord WITH a res-orb, and so on... Just so much... xD True. Moderate toughness and an Invuln save will rapidly piss people off.

Yeah, I have a Termie Lord myself, using him as a sorcerer. I gotta say, my friends hate him. They throw parties if they can kill him. sweatdrop

alucard no life king allright thanks for the tips i went out and orded a few guys and bought what little they have in stalk lol the termatior lord looks rather nice Depending on Mark and their kit, Terminator Lords can be damned scary. Lets look at it this way: TermLord + Mark of Khorne = Give him 2x Lightning Claws or a Bloodfeeder. He will immediately become a CC ogre and should deep strike in with a unit of Khornate Terminators, at least two of them packing 2x Lightning Claws. One in that squad should have a Reaper Autocannon, the rest should have Power Weapons and Combi-Bolters (Combi-Melta makes them scary, too). TermLord + Mark of Tzeentch = Depends. If you make him a Sorcerer, give him Warptime and Doombolt. Doombolt will make him a powerful threat at range. Only use Warptime if you're against a large squad of single wound models in CC, though. If you're against a single character or are going to have the Sorcerer target a multi-wound model, have him save his psychic power for his Force Weapon. If he is a normal Chaos Lord, give him a Deathscreamer. d6 Doombolt shots at 24" range is nasty, especially given that it gives the standard of +d6 Power Weapon attacks in CC. TermLord + Mark of Nurgle = This punk will be survivable. T5 with a 2+ save is nothing to be sniffed at. This will be at the best benefit in, believe it or not, CC. You can give him the Plaguebringer, but it's only worth it against big nasties given that it is a Poisoned 4+ weapon. TermLord + Mark of Slaanesh = Best Daemon Weapon of the lot. It's the only one that causes Instant Death. Benefit of a Force Weapon without needing to roll Ld. Also, his heightened Initiative will put him on par with Eldar characters, making him a much more effective threat up close. However, Slaaneshi CSM have one of the most broken powers in the game: Lash of Submission. 24" range. All you have to do is pass a psychic test after declaring your target (must be an enemy). If you pass, you are allowed to move that squad 2d6" in any direction that you choose. They are not slowed by difficult terrain, but you can move them through DANGEROUS terrain and force them to possibly take some casualties. Best use of it, though, is to run your enemy toward some assault specialists that might not have range otherwise.

You know, Caleidah, I never thought of the Slaaneshi one. I normally just stray from him and stick with Tzeentch and Khorne, but that just made me regret that decision. I can't even imagine how much more dangerous that could make my Berzerker unit. xd
Oddly enough, I end up stocking up my Sorcerer to all hell. He's about 10% of my army in a 2000 point battle, so yeah, he's a big target. Sometimes that keeps enemy fire off of my Berzerkers, though, which is what I like. I have him equipped with a Mark of Tzeentch, Familiar, Doombolt, Warptime, Bolt of Change, a Personal Icon, and of course Terminator Armor, as that's what we seem to be discussing right now. XD I gotta say, my friends hate him, so I never really wanted to ever change him up that badly. I have him start solo, then use the Personal Icon to either summon Terminators or Lesser Daemons at his side. My Terminators tend to compliment him perfectly, with the captain having 2x Lightning Claws, three having Power Weapons and Combi-Meltas, and the final one having the ever dreaded Reaper Autocannon. It's enough power to get the job done, that's for sure, and then I tend to make it worse with either giving that unit a Mark of Nurgle or a Mark of Tzeentch. General rule, though. Keep the Necron Lord with a Warscythe busy with Berzerkers. Lots of hatred filled Berzerkers.

The Plague Marine models are nice, but the pewter limits them. Hunt down some Nurgley shoulder pads and heads, and get some green stuff. That way you can field exactly what you want.

If not, use the blank shoulders on your men.

Renegades holding a giant gun so big that two of them need it. For some reason, I'd think they would die pretty fast ._.
