Big question conserning about Ravenwing bike squads:

In Space Marine Codex, the bike squads are armed with frag grenades
and can be "upgradet" to have Kraks or Meltabombs.

In Dark Angels Codex, it does not say that ravenwings have those options
and only mentionable thing in the "update"-paper errata, is that all ravenwings
have "skilled rider" rules and ravenwings do not have command squads.

I´m only asking about the grenades:
Does anyone have any better knowledge about ravenwing bike squads also
having grenades melta bombs possible?
I tryed looking the errata and everywhere else in gw´s website,
but don´t seem find any solution for this question.

The most i can say is just assume they do, as its still a bike squad. I think itd be sort of funky if they didnt.

True.... just want to be sure about this and not to make my oppoments
mad or anything. ^^"
I need the grenades, cause I am one of those unfortunate peoples who
have a bad luck with Melta weapons. @.@
Once, not once I have been able to hit or wound anything or anyone with
Meltagun or Multi-Melta. gonk
I´m better off with melta-bombs rather then shooty-guy who can´t even
seem to hit anything else then thin-air. domokun

Besides, having a 3 to 5 men bike squad and no frag-grenades is abit risky
business in close-combats. sweatdrop
Sure I have +1 to tougthness on most of the units,
but a power weapon IS a power weapon and no power armour can´t help
againts that thing. >.<

Althou the Ravenwings do have Skilled Rider rule on everyone,
including the land-speeders,
which itself is a big bonus. ^w^

I´ll wait ´till tomorrow if anyone else has an opinion/fact about the question. 3nodding

For those still doubting it, look no further! The next 40k project will be the Dark Angels, this has been CONFIRMED with the GW catalogue 2007, which features a shot of some Death Wing terminators with customs shoulder guards, storm shields, a Rhino decoration kit a "mysterious robed marine" model.

Index astartes. Cant remember which one. Either way they were 3rd ed rules. They dont apply anymore, the new codex killed those rules and made chapter traits for them. So chapters like the Imperial Fists, Salamanders, Iron Fists, White Scars, and so on all have chapter traits now.

From what I remember they had siege based rules involving preliminary bombardent, bonuses relating to the siege and defense of bunkers, and other such things. Remember they were big allies of the Iron Warriors during a big chunk of the crusades.

Actually, just buy the Space Marine codex and you'll get the Imperial Fist rules with that one.

Yes. Similar to the Doctrines section of the Guard Codex.

I thought the only other Codex for the Space marines were for the Dark Angels and Ultramarine and Space Wolves?

Or were you saying that the Space marine Codex gives you the general rules for all of the chapters?

Right Right, that was a stupid thing to say. they changed that with the 3rd edition Space Marine Codex didn't they?

I never had the 2nd marine codex so i couldnt say. But 3rd was similar in that it represented any marines who didnt have rules in their own codex, an index astartes, other codex, or chapter approved.

I still wish theyd remake the 21st founding.

Nah I find it more easy to follow one or two codex's than to follow a bunch of different ones. (Like me, I like to take different characters from other armies, like some Dark Angels Apothacaries. or some Ultramarine Heros), and I just find it easier to say get the Space Marine Codex, the Space Wolf Codex and just follow them instead of say, having this codex and that codex and that other codex and so on. you know what I'm saying?

Are you picking up what I'm throwing down?

Nope. Because to me it was no different. No one else had to get codicies, I just had my Marine and my Armeggeddon codecies. Thats it, those two took care of the salamander rules for me, and the black templar rules for all my other friends who were big into the armeggeddon story line.
