sybrid So, I thought I'd check out Kiddie Grade, because the previews make it look kind of neat, but the first few episodes have been a bit bland. Has anyone seen further and if so does it get better? Kiddie Grade is mediocre, at best. If there's another series you want to see, I suggest skip Kiddie Grade. I've seen about half of the series and I'm pretty bored with it. sad

Yuri_shoujo Kiddie Graaaade... I want to see that, I've heard it gets shoujo ai-ish eventually ninja Well, because I have some money that I wasn't going to do anything else with as I'm holding out and not buying Platinum, I've been picking up the first DVDs of random series... I'll probably check out a couple more DVDs before I decide that the series is not worth continuing, because the previews really do intrigue me (ok, I just want to see this "Tweedledee and Tweedledum" pair in action... something about the pair just beckons to me.) But the first DVD was not anything special. I like the ending song, though, so it wasn't a total waste.

Well, for you sake sybrid, I encourage you not to buy any more of it. It's pretty shounen (busty ladies with high powered weapons) when it comes to art and style, but there's nothing new or innovative about it. I could stand watching it, but I didn't feel too compelled to see more than 12 episodes. There's quite a bit of filler too. sad
EDIT - I have to take the whole innovative thing back a little bit, since the names are relatively clever, such as Cesario and Viola from Twelfth Night. But really, the names don't have too much meaning. It was more of a superficial ploy they used.

But really, the names don't have too much meaning. It was more of a superficial ploy they used. I did notice the obvious shounen gearing, after about the fifty-seventh panty-shot in the first episode, but that died down a bit at least and went from "very annoying" to merely "as bad as many other shows, some of which I enjoy". I did complain the first time Eclair took the time to write her whole goddamned name in cursive before fighting the badguys (I said something like "GODDAMN IT, IF THE IDIOT IS GOING TO WASTE TIME, SHOOT HER!") But meh. It's Studio Gonzo, and they've done a few things I like (Last Exile, Hellsing, other stuff I can't think of because I'm tired), so I'm hoping they're just getting their sea legs or something before the series gets good.

I dunno, maybe I'm just over bashing the series itself, but I've seem too many series go down that path.
Yeah, that scene with the writing annoyed the hell out of me too haha.

I'm not going to bother getting on conversations tonight very much. Only going to post the lyrics to the songs i'm listening to.
Ozzy Osbourne- Mr. Crowley
Mr. Crowley, what went on in your head Ohhhh...Mr. Crowley, did you talk with the dead Your life style to me seemed so tragic With the thrill of it all You fooled all the people with magic Yeah you waited on Satan's call Mr. Charming, did you think you were pure Mr. Alarming, in nocturnal rapport Uncovering things that were sacred manifest on this Earth Conceived in the eye of a secret And they scattered the afterbirth Mr. Crowley, won't you ride my white horse Mr. Crowley, it's symbolic of course Approaching a time that is classic I hear that mating call Approaching a time that is drastic Standing with their backs to the wall Was it polemically sent l wanna know what you meant I wanna know I wanna know what you meant yeahhhh....

Good luck with that messiah.
I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.

sybrid So, Messiah, does EoE cure headaches? Inquiring minds wish to know... One "could" say that EoE cures headaches...by causing your head to cease to be. sweatdrop Hey, it gets rid of the headache, right? biggrin I'm back online at last...all moved in at college and waiting for the first day. Did anything monumental happen while I was gone? ninja

Well, Eva-Pilot launched the petition for A-10 connectors, so we're all hopin' for that at the moment.
Other than that... nothing much was missed.
