"Brawly's next, yes," he replied, detecting a hint of sadness in her tone. "Of course not," he said. "Is something wrong?" Keegan asked, standing up and walking across the deck, and leaning on a railing. "Anything I can help with? You know you can tell me anything."

"Too much to explain on the phone," Kasiya responded truthfully, stroking her Raichu's soft fur. "A lot has happened in the last few days," she added, closing her eyes. "Um, is there any chance I could meet you before you go to Dewford? I really don't want to be alone right now." She could feel a few tears welling up, but she didn't care. She was only human, after all.

"Yeah, certainly," Keegan replied gently. "I'm always up for your company. Will you be catching the next train? Or flying with Fang?" he asked, checking his watch. He did his best to bury the worry he could feel building up in the pit of his stomach.

"Um, flying isn't a good idea right now, so I think I'll hop on the train," she said, checking her watch. She released her Arcanine, and slowly climbed up onto his back. "We're heading to the train station right now," she said, as Shocker jumped up onto his head, hitching a ride. Hiro broke into a gentle, yet speedy run, the sights of Celadon passing quickly. "I'll be on the train soon, so I'll meet you....?"

"At Petalburg Station," he finished the sentence. "I'll be there as soon as I can, so don't worry, okay? Everything is going to be alright. You just get on the train, and I'll see you when you get here." He sighed, knowing the connection would be cut off once the train departed.

"Not very long at all." Mike spoke as if he'd flown over a hundred times, his usual confidence returning to his voice. "Nope, not long." He said softly as he pressed his head on Nitro's back, closing his eyes. He didn't sleep. He thought of Nina and Kilik, and how they would patch things up. Knowing her she'd be beating him sensless with worry. His mind then wandered to Kasiya, and what death defying adventure she had no doubt gotten herself into in the few days they've been apart. Mitsu and Dante at sea, Keegan traveling around, he missed them.
"My crazy friends." He said to himself. "What would I do without them..."
Nitro continued to effortlessly glide atop the skys of Hoenn, Petalburg in sight.

"Alright," Kasiya smiled as the station came into view. "I feel better already. Keegan, thank you, and I'll see you soon," she said, and hung up. She held the PokeNav close to her, and sighed. Shocker turned around, and winked at her trainer, which caused her to giggle. "You guys are great," Kasiya smiled. Hiro gave a loud bark in reply, and Shocker sent a small flare of electricity into the air in reply.
Once they'd reached the station, Kasiya recalled Hiro, and with the help of a friendly passenger, managed to board the train and find a place to sit. It was moderatly crowded, although she found a place she could put her foot up, and Shocker could continue to snuggle in her lap. The girl looked out the window, thinking the train couldn't leave fast enough, even as it lurched forward, slowly pulling out of the station. "Soon," Kasiya said quietly.

"Aww, that's a bit of a shame," Flannery smiled, losening her grip a little as she grew more confidence. "I certainly hope we get to fly again." She looked to Mike, who seemed as though he'd disappeared inside his own thoughts again, and then back to the horizion. The city was coming into sight, and she watched in awe as it grew larger and larger.

"I'll always be here for you," Keegan told her honestly, waiting a few moments after she'd hung up before he did as well.
"How are things?" Mr. Briney asked, walking over to Keegan, a Wingull perched on either shoulder.
"It's complicated," Keegan sighed. "Well, a friend of mine is going through a bit of a rough time, so I'm going to meet her at Petalburg Train Station, and she's going to come with me to Dewford. So I'm afraid our sailing expedition will be delayed, is that alright?"
"Fine with me, sonny," Briney said. "It'll give me time to get everything ready to go."
"Thanks," Keegan said, jumping over the railing. "I've got to go, I might be able to make it in time," he waved, and started running for Petalburg City. "Come on, Artemis!" he called, and the little bird flew along behind him, perching on his shoulder as she caught up to him.

Kasiya blanked her mind as the train zoomed along, and she were thankful they were quite speedy. "I wonder what everyone else is doing right now," she mused, watching the scenery roll by. She began to doze, drifting in and out of sleep, her eyes only opening slightly as she heard "Ecruteak City" booming over the PA system.

After running for quite a ways, Keegan had to slow down, his heart thundering in his chest. He glanced at his watch, and suddenly wondered why he was rushing. He knew he had plenty of time. He continued to walk, not making eye contact with anyone he met along the way. "I said I'd be there, and I will!"

Her eyes opened suddenly, and she sat up, drenched in a cold sweat. She'd been dreaming, more or less reliving her time spent in Team Rocket's base in Viridian. Only in this version, Giovanni didn't let her leave with her life...
She shivered, noting that Shocker had curled into a ball on the seat next to her, and allowing herself to calm down as the train continued to roar along. "Now entering the Hoenn Region," she heard over the loudspeaker, and she sighed. It wouldn't be long now. Not at all.

"This would have been so much easier if my bike wasn't busted," Keegan grumbled as he strolled into Petalburg City. He thought for a moment, trying to remember which way the train station was. He got his bearings, grabbing a soda from a nearby vending machine as he walked to quench his thirst. He arrived at the station with plenty of time to spare, grabbing a bench and sitting to wait. He sipped his drink and checked his watch, jumping up and standing on the bench as he heard a train whistle in the distance. He strained his neck, and could see the train approaching. "Perfect," he grinned, jumping down and tossing the empty can into a recycling bin. He made his way over to the platform, watching and waiting while the passengers slowly filed off.

Kasiya had fallen asleep again, only to be awoken by Shocker, who was shaking her arm. "Are we here?" she asked groggily, and the Raichu nodded. The girl sat up, making sure everything was in order, only to find she was the last one on the train. The conductor walked over to her, a small smile on his face.
"Do you need some help, miss?" he asked, looking at her swollen ankle. "That looks painful."
"Uh, yeah, I do, thank you," Kasiya smiled, accepting the man's help. He pulled her up onto her good foot, the Raichu jumping down and leaving the train first, looking around excitedly. "Someone should be meeting me," she said, carefully stepping down with her good foot, she too looking around, specifically for a flash of red...
And there he was, standing right in plain sight. "Keegan!" she waved, which was a little bit of overkill, because he'd already seen her. Letting go of the conductor, she slowly hobbled over to him, dropping her stuff and throwing her arms around him as soon as she was close enough. "It's so good to see you!" she cried, tears already streaming down her cheeks.

Keegan didn't even have time to ask what was wrong with her foot as Kasiya had jumped at him, throwing her arms around him and sobbing something that sounded like 'it's good to see you.'
"Hey you, no tears now," he laughed, holding her tightly. "I'm glad to see you too."
Artemis seemed rather annoyed to no longer be the center of attention, and trilled loudly as she flew around in circles overhead, her eyes fixed on the Raichu on the ground below.
