All I can really say to this is that I've explained myself. I shouldn't have to explain my decision, yet I did. If your ego is so broken that you need to try and argue it out, go on ahead, but I won't be a part of it.

In closing

But you didn't explain yourself. That's why I'm asking for clarification.

Look, yummy, I use to be where you were. Back when school was a busy thing for me, college mind you, I was running GTB, too. I would come home from school, and run into thousands of problems. Sometimes, I even felt like people were undermining my dedication to the tournament. Then I realized something: they had every right to want more from me.

When you sign up to be the judge of a tournament, you signing a social contract to keep up to standard and to be able to dedicate a decent amount of commitment to the event you are running. The problem here is that Hero did not emphasize that to you, and is why you feel like no one should go against your decisions.

"I have life to worry about" shouldn't be your excuse. If you have life, then don't sign up for the tournament, sorry to say. Or even judge for that matter. So when you sit here and tell me "I don't have to explain anything to you"...you know, it's unbecoming of you as a judge. I know. I was there before.

I think Vintrict has some good points.
Something just seemed off with the rulings but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I'm certainly not going to lose sleep over this or anything. What's done is done but I was interested in the thought process behind everyone's grades as well.

He doesn't necessarily have good points, he has points he can put enough fluff around to make them seem good.

Nevertheless, I explained the thought process I had behind his fight. If you want something more in depth about yours, ask me tomorrow.

Wait, what? So you're saying what I wrote in my post weren't good points? Or are you going off of some ill will in not reading it at all cause it's me? Should I just let someone else come and say the same thing I said? Would you listen then? Clearly my word means nothing to you.

40oz...

Also. For your own sanity... DO NOT explain yourself to everyone. Not even once.

I say this because I legit think you guys ******** up in a big way already. Not of malice but inexperience and poor planning. You will just end up losing your cool and getting peeved at everyone.

Instead see what is being said and if you are on staff next year, apply what you deem redeemable. It's safer that way.

Heita, reason why I wanted to talk to him about his judgment with my fight is because...well, he was here in this thread, and I felt like having a late night discussion to see what made him grade the way he did. It would be one thing if he said "I'm tired, Vin, I don't want to talk right now."

Instead, he's doing like Bojuka did and going off simply because people have "concerns." Concerns is normal. It's one thing to say he shouldn't explain himself, but it's another to say "******** you, I can decide whatever I want." Not mature at all.

It becomes less of a tournament cause then what standards are you going to expect? Why put effort into a competition if the judges themselves don't care what you bring up?

I honestly can't respect the words of someone who says, and I quote, "And you busy in life may have made you rush through some things."

You can preach about social obligations all night long, but as far as I see it, my education will be paramount over this tournament. I'm making time for it, I've made time for it, and I did my job. I realize not everyone is going to be happy with my decisions, and from what I can see, you're disgruntled that you didn't win the fight you believe you won.

I'm not going to apologize. I'm not going to explain myself further.

But you just said you're busy with life. I've been through it, so I assumed that it was because of that that you didn't judge thoroughly especially with our fight not being the only one. You said it yourself:

I've got school, I've got other obligations on other sites.

You're splitting your time between different priorities, so of course you're not putting your full commitment into this. That's where I made that statement from because you just implied it to me. Taking it negatively is your fault. I already told you that I wrote my post not out of any negative retort.

You're taking what I said and twisting it into a victim angle because it's easy to do it. That's right. It's easy. It's a good method to use when you don't want to be bothered, but it's not going to reflect better on you as a judge.

I get what you are saying but being a former judge yourself...and saying pretty much the same thing at times...can you not see his viewpoint?

Gaia is many things for many people. Sometimes you have time for it...sometimes you don't. Sometimes you inadvertently make it an obligation and realize.."oh s**t...Life...I almost forgot I had a life!" and then you have the problem I assume Hero and Yummy to be having.

Unfortunately for them... with the lack of other distractions for most and given the natural demeanor of most in our community...this pass time is becoming actual work and less fun.

So instead of adding to their stress, I say we educate without seeming condescending or bitter but more so concerned and helpful.

Dude, I'm being helpful as possible. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If he sees my words as bad, he's going to always see them as bad, no matter what I say.

I was assuming he was a civil and mature person, but I was wrong. He's too informal to talk about this stuff.

That's not a helpful statement.

Only speaking about your particular also makes you seem bitter as opposed trying to convey a message for the betterment of the overall tournament.

Questioning his judgement publicly is just as immature...especially considering the mature statements you made in our Skype conversation concerning your overall viewpoint on the matter.

Cause I'm appalled. I didn't bring this up in the ooc out of bitterment. I was like "Oh, cool, one of the judges are on." Cause it's already hard enough to catch any of them to discuss issues about. That's one of the reasons why my fight with Outlaw went nowhere. Judges were only on during certain times of the day to look at it. Even with 14 days though to fight, in the end, Outlaw stalled it enough to not even have a fight.

I wanted to talk with one and see why they made the grades that they did because the explanations didn't match up with the grades. They felt almost random, so I wanted to see why Yummy made what he did. Apparently, I was right. There was no consistency between what he said and what he graded. I wanted him to further clarify this, but instead he took it negatively. He doesn't realize that we're saying this out of wanting some understanding.

I'm all for people giving yes and no simple votes if they won a fight or not. But for situations like my fight, you'll clearly need to have a critical eye.

I'm just waiting for Hero to get on so I can discuss why he gave Bojuka almost a perfect score. If the other two judges didn't think we were near perfect, yet he did, then he was clearly looking at something that they weren't.

Which is the point. They're useless in this tournament.
