he looked at the ground, " did i.. did i offend you?" he was worried. what if hed upset her. she didnt even answer his question. what if she was upset at him.

SK came back into the field dragging a deadfall tree with him that probablly wieghed easily 250 pounds. he was straining and sweating with the effort but pulled it slowly to withn zahars light and then plopped down on the grass, "well this should hold us for the night," he panted.

SK smirked and looked to Artimis, "so you fancy yourself a warrior do ya lil man?"

he looked up and looked kind of shocked. but when he saw SK's smirk he felt at ease. this strange tattoo'd pierced man struck a chord with him. normally he would not want to associate with someone that kept himself in the shirtless state that SK did, "im not a warrior. but id like to be! she said we'd have to wait for you to see her dagger. can i see it, please?"

SK stood and drew his katana and the boys eyes lighted, "this is Zephris, she is a soul forged blade created by one of the master hell smiths. this blade is heavily enchanted. do not touch the blade of it or it will cut you most likely. you may pick it up. hold it in two hands and tell me what it feels like. you need a more subtle weapon to train with. i will make you something when i get my forge set up ok art?" he thrust it in the ground and stood with arm folded.

he walked over and barley managed to pull it out of the ground and it took a reasonable portion of his strength to manipulate the weapon at all. he looked with new respect upon the warrior that stood before him and he was enamored with the blade he held and the way it glistened in the light zahar provided.

SK looked to Zahar and knew she was starining, "Art. put her down and come here. im goin to show you how to start a fire with flint and tinder," he knelt and Artimis came running over after gently laying down the sword. SK said, " get some moss from the log. make sure its dry. bring it back. two pieces the size of your fists please," the boy did so with otu question, "ok now place it in the center tthere. leave half inch in the nothern eastern and western sides. in otherwords remove one stick from there. other then that this was set up perfectly lad. not take the flint and strike it. it will csue sparks. do it till tthe moss sticking out of the whole ignights. we should have a fire in no time," and so it went. the boy strugled for a while to produce the sparks but SK showed him the hand motion away form the fire and art had it roaring in no time. his eyes sparkled with pride and SK rubbed his head, " you can let your light down Zahar. thank you for straining yourself with it. im sorry we didnt have a fire goin earlier."

SK walked over and scooped her up layingher on a soft patch of grass near the fire pit well inside its light, "Art. lay oppositer form her and try and catch some rest. i will stand watch."

he looked little sad, "can i stand watch with you? i wanna see what its like."

he smiled, " i will wake you before sun up so you can stay on lasy watch with me. zahar looks as though she will sleep the night. now to sleep with you Artimis. we have a long walk ahead of us tommorow," the boy nodded excited at the prospect of seeing a watch but seem not excited at sleeping on the ground. never the less he lay down.

he signed to her i will be right here. fret you not, he then sat about 2 feet from art and about 2 feet from zahar, "sleep the both of you. you need your rest."

he lay down and tried to sleep. but failed misserably and propped himself up noting zahar had passed out, "i cant sleep. its uncomfortable," he said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

SK looked to him and thought, "you will sleep. here let me play you something," he pulled the instrament from his gear and put it to his lips and began playing a soft lullabye. he noticeded art lay down as if lost in the music and soon the boy was asleep as well. the night passed totally uneventful and art even sleep soundly through his prodding to try and get him up for a watch. the sun began to crest the hill and as a magnificent site to behold.

he smirked and signed, "Artimis is still asleep. the little guy is tuckered out from the excursion not to mention the act of waking him up. i hope my playing didnt wake you. the last thing a lullabye should do is that but it did get him to sleep. let us give him until the sun is fully above the horizon and then if he is not awake we shall wake him and head out. i am ine and do not need the rest. my mind is uber active at this point in time. how was your sleep?"
