Ryland thought for a few long moments before he slowly sighed. Setting the orb in one hand, he reached up with the other and slowly pulled the feather from his hair. Handing it to Tai, he sighed softly and held the orb in one hand still, as if preparing for the trade to not fall through.
"I know it doesn't look like much because it's just a feather... But it's from a rare bird that lived in the mountains, it's extinct now, and that feather is worth more than you can imagine. Money, items, you can get anything your little heart desires in just one trade with that feather. Trust me, I've had offers."
Looking up towards Naruto, he frowned softly and gently reached out, taking his hand softly. Leaning against him, he closed his eyes and still held his hand while holding the orb in the other, trying to calm Naruto down. "Naruto..." He said softly, not fully understanding the situation at all, but wanting to comfort the other since he had given a slight tremble, and he really didn't care what thoughts ran through the Lamia's mind, that was quite obvious.

Naruto watched this trade, and narrowed his eyes slightly. He didn't like the way he was giving up something so valuble for that orb.. even if it was like a child. In fact, the point that it seemed like a child was kind've criminal to him. And strangely enough, he could see the same thing going through Tai's mind, though he was tempted greatly by this rare feather.
"I.. Can't take this." He said simply wincing as he pushed it back into Ryland's hair. It took a lot to not run off with that feather, due to his hoarding tendancies. "I want.. the first thing that child makes/gives you as a gift. That'll do as a trade for me." He said firmly, looking away.
He did calm down at this, and that Ryland was trying to calm him down about the Kyuubi thing. He didn't mind that Tai hadn't responded to his question either, as he was doing business after all. But the mere idea there was another ninetailed fox running around in the asylum sent chills down his spine for some reason.

Ryland blinked as the feather was pushed back into his hair, though he still kept leaning against Naruto, holding his hand, head on his chest as he looked down at the orb and bit his bottom lip. Standing up straight, though he was still holding Naruto's hand, he nodded his head and smiled before finally releasing Naruto's hand to give Tai a nice little hug.
"Thank you. The first thing this child gives me or makes, I'll be sure to bring it for you. Naruto... come on... lets go find Tae and get you something to eat and drink, okay?"

Watching the snake get hugged before he dissapeared behind the door again, Naruto sighed softly, shaking his head of all thought of this Ninetailed character. There was no point thinking about it, he hadn't even seen him before, so he likely wouldn't in the future.
Snapping back to reality, he looked to Ryland, and smiled weakly. "Yea.. Food and drink.." He said, walking off towards the west wing again. "and Tae-chan.."

Ryland tilted his head softly and nodded. He was excited to see Tae, and excited he would sometime be expecting a spirit child from the orb, but he was also having a very slight mood downer, being concerned about Naruto at the moment.
Giving a nod and a very soft sigh, he looked back down towards the orb and focused on the red and green swirling with in it, as well as the colors it emitted around it that he hadn't noticed before. What would the spirit child look like... and how would he keep the others away so it wasn't influenced in a bad way?

A furry hand took ahold of one of Naruto's many tails, and yanked him back hard enough to cause the fox to trip up on his face.
"Well lookie what I found here... An original Kyuubi." Came a dark voice from the male.
He appeared to be a rather tall blue fox with pale skin and deep red eyes. He had two large hooped earrings in his ear, and appeared to be wearing "Paw boots and gloves". He also had 9 flowing tails that blossomed out fromt eh top of his black cargo pants.
But the oddest thing had to be the huge bell on a stick he carried, which somehow made no sound as he snuck up on Naruto and Ryland.
Naruto snarled at this sudden action, and turned to snap ferally at the hand holding his tail, his Blue eyes glowing a bright crimson at the other. He had already pissed him off.
"Who the hell are you?? What makes you think you can run around and yank my tail like that huh??" He spat at the other, seeming to "steam" a red aura around him.

Ryland blinked and jumped before turning around, holding the orb posessively in both hands as his eyes narrowed towards the other who had made Naruto fall. Dropping to his knees instantly, he put a hand on Naruto's cheek and leaned his forehead against his for a moment. "Naruto... calm down... Please..."
Eyes snapping back up towards the other he growled softly and glared, his tail snapping behind him, "Let his tail go!" He exclaimed, still having on hand on Naruto's cheek, hoping to calm him down so no fights broke out, although he wished he was stronger so that he could be more confident with his words.

The fox smirked, before practically dragging Naruto away from the cat over to his feet, before letting go and picking him up by his collar. "Awwe.. but he's such a cute little pup." He said with a smirk, staring into Naruto's eyes.
Naruto wanted to struggle and hit the guy, tear him to shreds, but somehow.. he couldn't. This guy seemed to have some sort've overpowering effect on him, some sort've.. thing that made him want to respect. It was as if this guy was "taming" him just by that glance.
And he didn't like it, nor did Kyuubi. There was no way the one and only ninetails of legend was going to go down without a fight. Swinging his tails around to the front, Naruto pulled the other's feet out from under him, breaking the gaze.
Naruto then caught this chance, and grabbed the other's neck, before slamming him into the wall beside him, his claws digging in as he avoided eye contact.
"Don't ever try that again." He seethed, in a voice that wasn't his own, before throwing him across the hall and walking off where he was going, that aura still flaming around him.

Ryland tilted his head and blinked, taking a step back at all the sudden actions. He wasn't one for fighting, but he fully supported how Naruto reacted. Gently reaching out, he brushed his fingers against Naruto's hand, slightly afraid of him at the moment considering that didn't sound like Naruto's voice at all.
"Are you... okay...?"

Naruto's eyes shifted to look at Ryland. It was a near glare, but it wasn't, it just felt it. Naruto was severely pissed off, and if anyone tried to do anything to Ryland or him, he'd probably kill them.
Thinking the glare was enough of a response to Ryland's question, he slammed open the door into the east wing and simply walked on, leading him to a door that had an embroidered cloth hung up over it.
The cloth appeared to be very intrecatly made, and displayed mountains and feilds with animals in it, and in the sky was a sun that was a tribal symbol, likely the one that represented Tae's tribe.
"This is his room..." Naruto introduced, his voice slightly croaky. It was back to his normal voice, though you could tell from teh croaking he was attempting to hold down his anger.

"As soon as I get to see Tae for a bit I'll go home and bring you back a bit pot of ramen and a blender of juice," Ryland said softly, still slightly afraid after that glare. Turning his eyes down towards the orb, he fell silent. He still liked Naruto just as much as before, it's just after what felt like a glare he felt like a burden. If he didn't want that orb so badly they wouldn't have gone to the West Wing and nothing bad would have happened.

"I'll be fine.. I just need to.. calm down." He said through strained nerves. "I'll be in my.. room. ENjoy yourself."
He turned and walked off down the hall, his tails twitching in agitation, particularly the one that had been grabbed. It was sore now.
And of course, in his bad mood, he had forgotton that Ryland likely didn't know the way back to his room. But Tae would likely help him out.

Ryland glanced towards him before he nodded silently and closed his mouth to prevent saying anything else. Naruto needed to calm down, and he wasn't of much help at the moment. Holding the orb, he stared down at it and couldn't help but blame himself. Really, he was at fault for it happening on this particular day.
Looking at the door, he admired everything about the little tapestry, if it could be called that, hanging above the door as he gave another, light knock, looking down towards the ground as his good mood suddenly sunk. Surely after he got inside and cuddled Tae a bit he'd feel better... hopefully he wouldn't cause any problems for Tae.

Tae shortly opened the door, and blinked as his eyes met Ryland's, before beaming and flinging the door open to hug the other cat tightly.
"Rylanddd!" He cheered, nuzzling him softly and purring. He was so happy to see his friend again, and it showed. Though he pulled awway and blinked at the object in the other's hand. "Ohh, Is that an orb? It's so beautifull!" He said softly, crouching down to admire the smooth shiney surface and the swirling colours within.

Ryland smiled and began to purr instantly, returning the hug and nuzzle. Looking down at the orb, he couldn't help but grin, being excited and content to be around Tae again. Tilting his head to the side, his ears flicked and his tail swished.
"I wouldn't have gotten it.. if it hadn't been for Naruto... He's the greatest ever." Ryland said softly and for a moment looked slightly sad before he perked right back up and nuzzled Tae again very gently. "Do you want to hold it?"
