"Who am I gonna tell? Besides-" He was cut off by the sting that shot through his arm from the disinfectant, still hurt like hell. "I think it looks nice." He watched her as she treated the bite, he could tell from her expression that she hadn't had much experience with this sort of thing. Then again, neither did he, but he'd read enough books on the matter to treat it as calmly as he would any other situation. That's all Crenu really had, his book smarts and reasoning. No innate or extraordinary skills, no natural feel or attraction for anything, no drive or vigor, no real style of his own. All he had was his knowledge to pull him through, and getting hurt like this was proof that it wasn't enough. When Riza had finished wrapping his arm he looked it over a few times, she didn't do a bad job at all. "...Thanks." Crenu wasn't use to getting helped out, and he sure wasn't use to being told what to do, but as annoying as it was at first he didn't really mind listening to Riza. She had a sound head on her shoulders, so maybe it was just that he sorta trusted her judgment, or maybe it was just that he didn't feel like arguing with her if it wasn't necessary. But whatever, he didn't care enough to keep dwelling on the thought. She recalled her pokemon and turned back to Crenu, but he could see that she was unable to produce the same stern expression that had gotten him to stay in the center in the first place. He was curious, but Crenu decided to go along with it anyway and pretended he didn't notice. "Yeah yeah, you sound like the nurse you know that? It's not like I was planning on poking it with a stick." He said sarcastically, but with a little smile. Getting up from the chair he decided to walk around the room a bit with his hands in his pockets, though he was tired he wasn't the least bit sleepy, as odd as that may seem. He had to much to think about, yet he really thought about nothing as he paced back and forth, stopping every few seconds or so for no apparent reason before continuing.

"Huh?" he said quietly, looking down at the side at their hands as she took hers away. A light frown appeared on his face, but he quickly wiped it away. He too put his hands in his pockets and watched the ground as it passed beneath them. He mumbled something very quietly to himself, something to the effect of "Girls are odd," and picked his head up.
For about another five minutes the two walked in silence as they turned another corner. Another boy and girl duo approached them. Kilik said nothing, but the other boy found it necessary to bump shoulders with him. If Kilik's eyes had been half-closed, they certainly were wide open now. Pain shot through out his body, and he stumbled, clutching the spot where the other boy hit. "Graagh!" he roared, clenching his teeth and forcing the pain down.
"Watch were you're goin', kiddo!" the boy said, wrapping his arm around the girl's waist. "And quit yer blubberin'! I doubt it hurt that hard!" He looked at Kilik, brushing his long blond hair back. He and the girl were dressed alike, really. They were both wearing tight blue jeans and black shirts. His hair was tied back in a pony tail, and hers was set up in pig tails. She kissed his cheek.
Kilik still clutched at his shirt, turning around to face the other boy. You don't know the stuff I've gone through, punk! he thought. Holding onto his shoulder, he looked over it to Cable. "Get in there," he said simply, "You owe me an apology. And if I have to battle it out of you, then I will!" Cable hopped off Gardevoir's shoulder and toddled over to his trainer's side. His fists were up and sparks were jolting along his prongs. He had a lot of pent up energy and he just couldn't wait to release it - in front of the pretty girls, too!
"Eh? Battle?" the boy laughed, "Fine by me, but it'll take a bit more than a little Elekid to keep me down. Why don't we make this interesting and into a Double Battle? You and your girlfriend there against me and mine! I'm Eric," he said, "And this is Jessie. I'll use this..." he tossed a ball up into the air, a fully evolved and very angry looking Blaziken emerging. The Pokemon's wrists burst into flame and it was ready for battle.
"And I'll use..." she pouted, "This! I suppose..." she let her ball fly and from it came a Pidgeot. The bird flapped its wings erratically. "Yes, this works! You ready honey?" she kissed his cheek again.
"Girlfr..." he looked over at Mitsu, "Ready? I sure could use Karri's help." He smiled at her, then winced. She may not be my girlfriend, but I can work with her just as well as he can with his! He clenched the fist of his free hand.

Mazarin's face really began to hurt from the strike of the handcuffs. I'm pissed now! He wiped some blood from his lip and glared at Mike. "You can make fun of my mannerisms. You can make fun of my battle style. You can even make fun of my momma, because dammit I know she's ugly. But you can never..." his fist clenched tightly, "Ever...insult..."
He broke into a run, tears streaming from his eyes from passion and the pain of the Supersonic in the air. "MY OUTFIT!" Mazarin slammed his fist as hard as he could into Milo's stomach then jumped back a few feet to avoid getting smacked in response. Banette shivered and swayed back and forth. Suddenly, he threw a Shadow Ball right into Mazarin's leg, sending the boy down. "B-Banette!" he cried, sitting up slowly, "The hell!"
=*=
His fingers tapped idly on his hand. A Psychic huh? Out of all his staff, nobody exhibited powers like that. He smirked. "A Psychic. Do you really think that I need the help of some one like you? I've already decided that Psychic powers are nothing but rubbish and that those that have them are too afraid to use what really matters. The only thing that matters in this world is will power. And I..." he smirked, ready to boast, "I have the most powerful will of all. But..." he stood up.
"If you can prove your training prowess to me," he laughed, "I might consider it."

Keegan glanced at Jaeshan for a moment, then looked at the ground, kicking a rock as he watched. Sure, maybe the blond boy did care, but then again, maybe he didn't. He replied to the question about his smoking with a shrug, and he dipped his hand into his pocket and withdrew the lighter again before lighting his cigarette and glaring defiantly at Jaeshan. As he put the lighter away he realized that there was something else in his pocket, and he furrowed his brow as he pulled out the two tickets to the Breeder's Gala. "Hmph," he grumbled, staring at them for a moment before he considered just throwing them out, but something stopped him and he stuffed them back into his pocket, looking at Jaeshan again as he asked another question.
"Huh, I dunno," he laughed, taking a long, thoughtful drag. "Mmm... I was thinking maybe binge drinking and hookers, actually. Lots and lots of hookers." He exhaled deeply, watching the bluish smoke drift and spiral up overheard, very much aware of the fact that it was impossible to tell if he was being serious or not. ===== A frown appeared on Morty's face as he watched the confused Pidgeotto deliver another solid hit to his Haunter, and the ghost let out a slight whimper before falling to the ground, unable to continue. "Haunter is unable to battle," the referee announced, much to Morty's dismay.
The Gym Leader recalled his fallen Haunter and looked over at Miharu. "Just one left," he told her, almost dauntingly, "but this one's also my best. Okay Gengar, it's showtime!" He launched a fourth and final Pokeball into the arena, revealing the fully evolved form of Gastly and Haunter. The ghost laughed anxiously, eying the confused Pidgeotto. "Give it your Thunderbolt," Morty said softly. Gengar laughed again, sticking out its tongue. Its mouth opened wide, bits of static already escaping it as it blew a large raspberry as well as a powerful blast of lightning at Aska.
Miharu smiled when she saw the Haunter fall, but the smile quickly faded when she saw the Gengar launch a Thunderbolt at Aska. Had she not been confused she probably could have escaped it, but right now her mind was so muddled all she could do was watch with mild amusement as the electricity slammed into her with such force that it knocked her out of the air. The Pidgeotto hit the ground hard, twitching as the remaining static fizzled out. "C-counter with Twister," Miharu stammered, feeling her heart skip a beat or two when Aska didn't comply. The good news was that she was able to get to her feet and she didn't seem to be confused anymore, but the bad news was that the Thunderbolt had left her with an unfavourable status: paralysis.

Mitsu frowned at the boy. She did not appreciate the sight of Kilik in pain like that. Half of her wanted to reach out to help the boy while the other half remained rooted to the ground. Not that it mattered since he had already handle the situation by himself. "Girlfriend?" she aske looking at the boy before casting her gaze to the couple. What and odd pair they were. "Well then Karri, I guess you're going to have to do this," Mitsu said looking at the Psychic. She paused, "Correction. We're going to do this."
I'm sure Cable can handle that Pidgeot no problem. . .even though I've never seen him battle. We'll go ahead and take on that Blaziken. "Let's start off with Attract!" Mitsu called out. "I thought we were going offensive here," Karri pouted, "but fine. This attack is amusing anyways. . ." The Gardevior twirled around, her 'dress' flowing, and flirtaciously blew a kiss to the Blaziken.
If the girl, Jessie, had been hesitant at first. She sure as hell wasn't anymore. "Wing Attack that annoying pest!" she cried point and accusing finger to Karri.

Kirsa got out her Pokedex and just stood there, silent and watching. She was under the impression that she would have to contact the professor of her own region, but it seemed like that was not the case. Either way this Professor Oak seemed silly.
She retrieved her Dex from Sasha, nodding. "Yes, I am certain I will manage." So they were staying in Slateport for another night? Well, Kirsa didn't know what she was supposed to do otherwise, so it didn't really bother her. At least the city would be much less crowded, and she could spend the day training Hans and Rolf. "Call me if something comes up, ja? I can always go meet you if you get stuck somewhere." Hopefully nothing would come up. Last night was plenty of excitement, a happening-free day would be nice.
Kirsa gave her a nod and a little wave, leaving Sasha to attend to her own plans. The cadet would start training the pups soon, but first? Breakfast time. She hit up the vending machines in the Pokemon Center and then wandered outside, holding three sandwiches and two bottles of water in her arms. The weather was nice again, so Kirsa wandered until she found a bench that was in view of the beach and settled on it. Hans and Rolf were both released and given a roast beef sandwich each, then Kirsa began to work on her own turkey sammich, going over her plans for the day in her head. The morning would be spent training the pups, then a break for lunch, then...well, if nothing else came up, more training.

London's lips pulled down into what was almost a pout, the energy around his Pokeball suddenly vanishing and dropping the ball into his waiting hand. Psychic powers...rubbish? The boy was clearly offended by this. Likewise he got up to his feet though it was a much less impressive display than when Giovanni did so. "Yes, I really do think you need my help, especially after watching the news. You showed up in Slateport, caused some damage, hurt a few people, then got your a** stomped by some kids. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for wanton destruction and mayhem, but at least make sure you don't display your raging incompetence to the world in the process of doing so."
The dark haired boy slipped the Pokeball back within the confines of his coat, frowning at the Team Rocket leader. "Name whatever it is you want me to do, and I'll do it. I'll show you Psychic powers aren't rubbish."

"You're welcome," Riza said, though she chose to ignore Crenu's comment about her sounding like the nurse. She sat down on the edge of the bed, very much aware of the strange silence that had fallen on them. She ran her fingers through her hair a few times, wondering what kind of effect traveling around so much would have on her hair. She could already feel a bit of frizz starting up thanks to Slateport's dreadful humidity and she sighed a bit before turning her gaze to Crenu, who was now pacing the floor somewhat erratically. Even though the pacing was creepy on some level she couldn't help but watch him, finding her eyes to be tracing over his every feature.
'Whoa, whoa, whoa, what am I doing?' she thought suddenly, realizing after a few moments that she had been staring at him. 'I've only just met the guy and I'm getting all starry eyed over here. Geez, there must be something in the water.' Her face had gone scarlet by this point and she jumped up off the bed and walked swiftly over to the window, parting the blinds lightly so she could peer outside. 'I sure hope he didn't see that...me staring at him,' she thought, shaking her head a little.

Kilik felt his shoulder feeling a slight bit better. Even he felt somewhat captivated by the Gardevoir. However, he shook off the feeling and looked at the incoming Pidgeot. "Cable! Let's use that new move of yours!" He wished he could sweep the air with his hand, but if he were to do it, the chances of him hurting himself were way too high. Kilik looked over at Mitsu and gave a half-smile. They could do this, easy.
Cable nodded and spun his arm around lightning fast. It sounded like a spinning turbine. Sparks showered from his plug down to his fist. "Ele..." he jumped up and landed on the bird, slamming a brand new Thunderpunch right into his target's back. "KID!!" With a jump and a lovely flip, the Electric-type landed on the ground next to the Gardevoir.
Eric growled. Stupid Attract. The Blaziken fluttered about, looking at the Psychic-type with big hearts in his eyes. "Ignore her! Attack the runt with a Blaze Kick!" You can't have a baby play with the big boys! The Chicken's foot began to burn and he swung, landing a good hit in right on Cable's face.
The plug spun out of control, skidding across the ground. He landed after crashing into Kilik's legs (and he winced when he heard the boy scream out in pain). He stood up slowly. Man, that hurt. He was going to need to be more careful...

Milo stumbled back a few feet as Mazarin's fist connected with his gut. So what if the boy could throw a punch, he was still more annoying than a mosquito, and about as bright too. He couldn't even keep an eye on his Pokemon, who quite amusingly took his own trainer down a literal peg. "What a waste." Milo said, his voice devoid of any enthusiasm. "How did an idiot like you get hired again?" Without thinking much more on the matter, he commanded Shiver to use his Surf attack. "Let's see if that runt was able to train you at least better than this moron." he tilted his head towards Mazarin, who was still dicking around when he should have been focusing on the fight at hand.
The Cloyster cocked an eyebrow at his trainer's words. What did he mean by that? He was the one that trained him! Not to mention, Mike was quite the screwball, and watching Maz's silly antics reminded him of his days as a Shellder, when Nitro, still a Charmander would constantly sneeze embers in his trainer's direction. Ah, the good ol' days. Wasting no more time on nostalgia, Shiver snapped his shell shut, calling upon a tidal wave from the Vermillion bay. Let's see how well this boy and his ghost react to an attack from behind, Shiver thought, displaying his trademark smirk.

"Kilik!" Mitsu cried rushing to the boy's aid. She used herself as a support, hoping that he wouldn't fall over. "You all right?" That stupid Blaziken would pay. And isn't this like the third one they've fought in a matter of days? What. The. heck. Man. "Let's hit 'em hard with a Psychic!"
Karri only nodded, happy to oblige. Maybe her trainer was finally getting a spine. Or at the very least taking an offensive approach. Whatever. It was fun to bend the laws of nature and defy physics anyways. A green aura surrounded the Blaziken lifting them off the ground.
However the speedy Pidgeot was going to intercept! With a shrill Jessie commanded an Aerial Ace. Minus ten points! Karri frowned. The attack stung but it didn't cause her to lose focus. Instead she tok the libery to toss the fiery chicken at the bird's back. A satisfying thus was heard.
"Ahhh!" Jessie wailed, clinging onto her guy. Apparently the Gardevior was stronger than her. And prettier too, Karri thought. "Attack that . . .that electric THING with Wing Attack!" she shrieked.

When Kasiya opened her eyes she was very much aware of the fact that more time had passed. She sat up slowly in her hospital bed, smiling for three reasons. First, she noticed that the IV had indeed been removed from her arm, and two, the bedside table had two juice boxes of fruit punch waiting for her, and the third and bestest reason she smiled was that at the foot of the bed, Hiro was lying on the floor staring happily at her, though he was big enough for his head to be resting on her feet. Ariel was on the bed next to him, and both Pokemon seemed very glad to see that their trainer was all right. "Ariel... Hiro," Kasiya said, reaching out to both her Pokemon. She could see that both of them had sadness in their eyes and at once she knew why the Vaporeon and Arcanine looked so sad. "Yeah, she's gone," she said, looking at Ariel in particular. "But we're going to get her back. I can promise you that." Even Ariel's fins were droopy as she made her way up the bed and lied down beside her trainer, resting her head on the girl's chest. Hiro pushed his way up beside the bed so Kasiya could ruffle his fur and hug him as well.
"Yep, those two insisted on stayin' out to protect you," a voice said from the doorway and Kasiya looked over to see the same nurse from before. "That big guy in particular, there," she said, motioning to the Arcanine, though she gently patted his nose as she set a small bottle of capsules on the bedside table. "I want you to take one of these four times daily for a week," she said sternly, looking right into Kasiya's eyes. "Other than that, and that it's very late, we have no other reasons to keep you here. Though, if you have someone you can call to come pick you up, you can leave now if you'd like." She then pointed to a chair in the far corner of the room, which had Kasiya's clothes. "Those have been washed for you as well," she added before heading out to continue her rounds.
"She's... really nice," Kasiya said, reaching over and taking one of the juice boxes from the table. It was room temperature, and she held it out for Ariel. "Would you mind terribly?" she asked, thanking the Vaporeon as she used a small, weak Ice Beam to cover the box in a thin layer of ice. "Having Pokemon rocks," she giggled, inserting the straw and having a sip of juice.
=-=-=-=-= "Uh huh..." Jaeshan said slowly, his pace slowing significantly after hearing Keegan's answer. "Okay, let me rephrase that. Any... long term plans?" he asked again, hoping to stumble away from that awkwardness, though he was curious about what Keegan had pulled from his pocket. They looked like tickets or something, though he couldn't quite be sure, but he decided against asking about them, seeing as he was likely to end up with Keegan's fist buried in his face. "I'm going to Dewford Island for a Knuckle Badge..."

"Au revoir!" Sasha called out as Kirsa made her exit, waving good-bye to her new friend. She felt good about that one. Sasha was a pretty good judge of character, and with a little training and some more Pokemon, Kirsa would make an excellent trainer. She already had that warrior instinct and those steel nerves, as evident from the piles of beaten Rockets the Slateport police undoubtedly had to sweep off the streets. Sure, she was tough on her own, but with the right Pokemon, she'd be a sight to see.
The pink haired girl toyed with the functions on her newly updated Pokedex as she walked towards the Slateport train station. Outside was still a bit of a mess, but it was a vast improvement from yesterday. At least there was no smoldering debris or fainted Pokemon and their hapless trainers strewn about the street like it was just a bit earlier. She sighed; stuff really got out of hand fast.
"Un billet de train à Celadon s'il vous plaît." Sasha politely requested of the vendor, who wordlessly handed it to her upon receiving the $150 fee. With a skip in her step, the girl hopped aboard the train and took a seat, placing her bag gently on the spot next to her. It hit the cushion with a heart stopping 'CRUNCH', eliciting an understandably bug-eyed reaction. "Mon œuf! Mon œuf!!" she cried, biting her bottom lip as she frantically opened her bag. She couldn't pull the right string, her hands were far too shaky. "Oh no I've killed my little egg!" she wailed, her mouth hanging open in a truly pitiful display. Her bag began to shake, a light squeak could be heard from inside. Sasha's eyes grew wider still as a tiny blue ear popped out from the little opening, followed by another. Soon, the tiny Pokemon squirmed its way out of the opening, letting out a cry when it realized its tail was also stuck.
The windows on the departing train nearly exploded from Sasha's high pitched shriek of joy.

Ulani wrinkled her little face at her opponent, who had just sighed out a cloud of nasty fumes. Frumpy and smelly, wasn't it? Why couldn't M.A. please find something a little easier on the eyes and nose? Diego, who sat in a relaxed manner beside the brunette, couldn't agree more, painting himself and M.A. a face mask. Curiously enough, although the mask was a bit wet to the touch, it was light as air; she couldn't understand how the Smeargle's magic worked, and decided that no amount of scientific research would ever get her to really understand. It was just a given, like elevators or car engines.
"We can't lose again! Sludge!" the boy shouted, his irrational claims spurred on by the hurricane of loss and anger spiraling within his young frame. Diego decided he might try to capture that emotion on his canvas notebook, and removed said notebook from M.A.'s bag. The girl didn't even notice, still astonished by the depth of his anguish; how sad, she thought distantly. What if she had lost all her Pokemon? The thought bothered her, but some sort of wall in her soul prevented her from truly putting herself in his shoes. Some unconscious barrier within her protected her from the sadness that came with sympathy.
Regardless of whatever problems the opponent was having, Ulani was SURE that it wasn't as bad as a gunk of poison flying her way! She barely managed to avoid the attack, the heavy stuff nicking her foot, but the goo was headed straight towards the masked M.A. and Diego. With calm nonchalance, the sitting Smeargle stopped his hurricane painting to snap his glowing tail, which emitted a green blob of paint that became a Protect shield in front of the brunette and himself. Then he went back to painting.
Ulani, preoccupied by the first minor graze, was surprised by a second onslaught of the gunk, and this time the smelly, caustic stuff hit her right-on. With a cry of indignation, the bird hit the ground, temporarily blinded and feeling extremely heavy from the stinging stuff stuck to her.

Kilik draped his arm over her shoulders, thanking his stars that she was there for him. "Nng.." he groaned, looking around and trying to focus back on the battle. "Nice hit, Mitsu. Cable! Use your---" he gasped. The Pidgeot was flying straight for him. He watched the Wing Attack crash against him. That was two hits for two. Luckily Electric-types are resistant to Flying moves! The boy's hand tensed a bit on the sleeve of Mitsu's jacket. "Go with your...Shock Wave at close range!"
The plug nodded, standing up. He watched the bird circle around him and he charged up the attack above his head. Lightning crashed into the cement, making small cracks. He fired the attack after the bird, smirking. It's not like it could miss!
The Pokemon Trainer punched the air. Blaziken managed to fix himself. The fighting Chicken broke into a run at Gardevoir, pulling his fist back to use his Fire Punch. However, he froze right in front of Karri. He couldn't bring himself to hurt her. "Oh! Dammit!" he growled, "Blaziken!"
=*=
Mazarin growled. He was sick and tired of this guy making fun of him. He swiftly recalled his Banette and sent out his Sharpedo. The Shark Pokemon emerged from the ball, staring dead on on the tidal wave. "Surf!" Mazarin yelled, running up and jumping onto the Sharpedo. The Water-type shot off like a missile towards the wave and rode all the way up to the top. "Let's see how you like your attack used against ya, Mike! Try runnin'!" He laughed heartily up into the sky, standing tall on his shark torpedo. Maz struck a generic surfing pose. He felt on top of the world, even when the wave decided to come crashing down.

She smiled nicely at the nurse, then Sere turned and gave one final smile to Cynthia before she left. The nurse who was pleasent, was trying to usher Serenity into another exam room, but Sere was having none of that.
"Thank you but - " She started.
"No, No none of that. I've had enough with people who are badly hurt walking out on me." The exasperated nurse said. She made Sere sit down on the bed. "I have to re set your shoulder, and that burn needs to be cleaned then healed up." She said examinging Sere's right wrist.
"I can do most of that myself. Please just, set my shoulder so I can shower, I'll get this burn healed up." Serenity just wanted to get to bed, she didn't want any fuss.
"I will let you go shower when I'm good and ready to. No more back talk." The nurse said as she went to work. Once again Sere had to go through the pain of having her arm put back in it's socket. It was odd considering she never really remembered it falling out of place. 'Must have been the first time I attempted to attack Mike.' After that then the nurse harshly grabbed Sere's burt arm once again, and started picking out bits of sand and gravel from the burn. "Sorry, I know this hurts." She said, offering the first bit of comfort Sere had since after the fight. Serenity wondered just how many injured people this poor nurse had to see this evening. She did look awefully tired. Almost as tired as some of the people she had seen out there today.
The nurse held up Sere's wrist for a closer look, then frowned. "I don't know how you managed to burn this so badly hun, but that burn heal isn't going to do it."
"What do you mean?" Sere asked confused.
"I mean now I know why you aren't screaming in pain. The burn is too deep. The burn heal will allow it to close over and repair a lot of the damage, but it's going to be scarred." The nurse sighed again. "I really wish those Team Rocket people had stayed away from such an event." The nurse picked up the burn heal Sere had placed on the bed after Cynthia left, and started to spray her wrist. Serenity watched through squinted eyes as some of the burn painfully healed, but the nurse was right. It wasn't enough to get it to heal completely, and left Sere with an interesting bracelet of scar tissue. 'At least now I have something to physically remember him by.'

Mitsu shifted her weight a bit, Kilik was taller than her after all. At least the crash didn't put the boy back into a critical condition. But maybe they should go back to the Center afterwards, just in case. "Let's give `em another Psychic!" Mitsu commanded knowning full well that the attack would score a good hit on the Figting-Fire Pokemon.
Karri smiled blowing a playful kiss to the Blaziken, even winking to top that off. "Bye, bye, lovely~" she sang before launching another Psychic at him, this time in the form of a green looking Shadow Ball.
"NONONONO!" Jessie cried, diggin her nails into Eric which jumped in response. The attack struck dead center, a horrid screech emitting from the poor bird. Mitsu couldn't even remember an ear-splitting shierk like that from Zypher. Like trainer like Pokemon she guessed. "Use. . .use Qick Attack!" she called out, her indecisive manner making another appearance. The bird flew at lightning's pace at the Plug Pokemon, a white streak of light following it's trail, even a few shadow copies.
