Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be...  Adell had turned, and out from the earth below him, Tai burst out at close range. With his split focus, he was given little time to react. Adell stepped back from surprise, as the axe blade slashed into his armor, reaching deep. It cut In, managing to penetrate the lava and earth. Adell saw no choice as the blade was about to meet his flesh. He opened up the armor behind him, ejecting himself from the earth and lava, which the axe blade now stuck into, just as the blade had cut into his shirt, on the verge of reaching his skin. He had avoided the effects of the ice chakra by milimeters. Adell had bought himself a little time from the cold with the lava globs attached to the mirrors, but he had little time. Still, he had to strike, while the iron was hot, so to speak. He quickly formed new seals, while Tai's blade was in the armor, and the double vision had taken effect, Adell inhaled, and then released his jutsu. Lava Style -Melting Apparition Technique: He released a large blast of lava arching over Tai in a spreading, wide spray. The hot lava would rain down over Tai, this close, he would have little time to avoid it. The lava would release thick steam into the air to hide Adell completely, further hindering Tai's already hindered vision. Adell didn't waste time, acting to protect himself again. Lava Style: Lava Armor Earth and lava flowed over his form protectively again. Adell finished by acting to prevent another underground attack. With a swift series of hand seals, Lava Style: Molten Canvas The ground underneath him heated, before turning into lava.  As Adell ejected himself out of his armor it seemed he underestimated just how much his frost chakra was capable of, it shattered his vision was chaotic but that didn't stop him from being skillful the signs weaved were quick, and he threw himself sideways not bothering to aim, at first it looked like he would smash into the hardened stone on the mirrors but he simply passed through it like it were water, and further on into the mirror, he was protected from the attacks leveled at him and out of reach of Adell's attacks, once more icy mirrors turned to face Adell though something changed the icy winds and snow ceased to pour out of them, the genjutsu had disrupted his chakra and he couldn't keep it up though he obviously managed to keep the mirrors themselves active Inside the mirror he realized he was under genjutsu so he focused on disrupting his chakra to remove it while simultaneously maintaining a steady flow of power to the mirrors. But suddenly across all the mirrors the molten rock stuck onto them would fall off, he separated a piece off each of them and the rock had nothing to grip onto. Standing in the mirror he entered Tai stared at Adell his hand dripping with blood down the blade of his hatchet which he used to cut himself causing pain which he latched onto in order to force the Illusion to dispel. Staring out of the mirror it seemed the battlefield had been turned into a lavafield, but already the frost heart has taking it's toll sucking away the heat from the lava and into the mirrors which were faring quite well in the heat the mist rolling in from around them, now that the wind was gone, condensed beautifully on their pristine forms.  From behind Hedoro small footsteps moved toward her, Mamichi was glad to see her mistress had calmed down a bit and was taking in a battle, standing next to her with the most peculiar umbrella, she looked something like a jellyfish. Hedoro would know it was her right off, and Mamichi would walk behind her and s**t down and next thing she would know pale human arms would hug her affectionately but more thn that warmth would seep from them. "Which do you think will win?" She asked quietly enjoying this hold affectionately.

Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be... Adell, watched through the steam as Tai retreated into the mirrors, Adell acted quickly. He formed seals, Lava Style: Magma Clone The Clone looked exactly the same as Adell clad in his magma armor. As the rock covering the mirrors was being shed, Adell rushed toward the edge of the mirrors, his movements hidden by the steam. Even with Tai's vision being fixed and once the steam cleared, it would be very unlikely he would be aware of the switch made. Adell had made it outside the surrounding mirrors. He hid behind one of them. Tai formed hand seals as he pulled himself out the back of his mirror and several water clones started to form on the condensation of the mirrors, and they too sunk into the mirrors they were formed on. It was at this moment Adell was discovered the clone whose mirror he hid behind saw him from inside the mirror and Adell would see Tai standing there staring at him, though the hatchet wasn't there in his hand so it was obviously a clone... but there was conflict, which Adell was the real one? The other clones sprang into action half of them jumping out of their mirrors and initiating one of Tai's customs jutsus the 'iki' cracking of ice forming was swiftly followed by the 'shi shi' of a pair of ice weapons being launched the last part though was meant to reflect the word, the 'baku' in bakuhatsu or 'explosion' as the two ice figure crashed into each other they exploded into hundreds of jagged ice fragments which riddled the clone. Back at the Real Adell there was still something of a conflict after all the clone couldn't exactly communicate from inside the mirror, all this took about ten seconds. 52,400/80,000 1. Ikishishibaku - 500 x 6 - the user forms a ball of ice in one hand and a projectile in the other launching the ball first the projectile second upon impact with one another it will explode showering those nearby with hundreds or ice shards. these are not lethal immediately but the long term affect of the small wounds is nothing to underestimate. Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be... As the clones had formed the clone formed seals quickly against Tai and his attacking clones. Lava Style: Magma Rising The moment after, the Magma clone was enveloped by the shear number of ice shards, killed. Then a large spray of lava burst from the ground. It began to spray all over the water clones outside the likely dispersing them, and it would spray over the mirrors, the heat from it forcing Tai to maintain the ice against it, and it's hardening nature likely force him to adjust the mirrors again. As the one water clone looked to Adell from inside the Mirror, Adell formed hand seals of his own. Lava Style: Magma Clones Multiple Magma clones formed from the lava around Adell. One of them rushed towards the mirror with the clone, gathering chakra into it's arm. Boulder Strike The clone Directed a powerful strike, greatly enhanced in force. Tai's Clones formed their seals and from behind them their Mirrors shined, if Adell was watching the mirror in front of him was shining too, if he was smart he'd have been running "Demonic Ice Collumn!" the clones shouted out in unison, and from both sides of the mirror the was a second of cold air and then A collumn of water exploded forth, but this water didn't even touch the ground as it reached about the 15 meter mark it would be frozen, The afflicted mirrors would drop under the weight, the Rapid expansion and freezing of the water, if Adell was still near the mirror he'd be frozen alive in a huge rectangular block of ice. The main weakness of this technique was that it took a few seconds to charge, anyone with a lick of sense would have been wary, though luckily most weren't smart enough to realize once the attack started there was no time to dodge it. It was one of those attacks that if you survived it you knew to get out of the way as soon as you saw the glow. The battlefield had really changed from a lush peaceful field to a lava pit covered in ice and snow. The Ice columns completely overwhelmed the Magma Rising attack, the clone that sought to attack the mirrors also bit the dust, though it remained to be seen if Adell and his other clones escaped. 45,400/80,000 1.  Rumi still had some way to go before she was truly comfortable in her role as a human. That was not her natural form, and no matter how long she might practice, it would never be suited to how she sensed, how she perceived the world around her. Normally, she could sense in all directions without even thinking about it. Now that she had to rely on her eyes, she could only see what was in front of her. That, and a fraction of the surrounding directions. But nothing of what was behind her. Likewise, the sounds of battle dominated her hearing; she couldn’t sift through the varying sounds to differentiate the multiple sources. Those two factors added up to her being caught by surprise when the unknown form stepped in close behind her, before wrapping a pair of arms around her. Instincts flared up, instincts skewed by being in a form not fully compatible with said instincts. She thrashed to try to free herself, but poorly and awkwardly. Normally, a fleshling trying to break free from a grapple would attempt to find leverage, to find a way to pivot or shift to apply the maximum amount of force with a minimum amount of movement. That was how a fleshling would attempt to break free. And while Rumi may have been a fleshling in form, she was still a Meliae in mind. Which meant that she tried to escape like a Meliae would. Namely, to simply try to flow around the grapple. That didn't work very well, all it really accomplished was leaning away from her captor even as she tried to slump down. Thankfully, she was spared any further failed attempts when she heard the voice in her ear. Much like her own, the voice sounded exceedingly similar to how it would sound in the speaker's natural form. there could well be something to merit studying that, how a fleshling set of vocal chords could be even somewhat similar to however a Meliae spoke. Whether it be from simply manipulating bubbles of air through their substance, or something more precise, the result was the same. Even Meliae's voices were different from one another, just like a fleshling's. So she was able to recognize the voice, and stop her futile struggles. "Mamichi?" Once the fact that it was Mamichi sank into Rumi's mind, she relaxed somewhat, and stopped trying to struggle. Not necessarily at ease in being confined, the fact that it was Mamichi told her it would more likely than not be just as hopeless as ever in getting her to relinquish her grasp. So she stopped trying, at least for the moment. As she did, she focused on the question she'd been asked. Which of the two combatants would be triumphant? One utilized lava and magma, the other ice and water. The snap decision would side with the water and ice user, but it wouldn't be a guaranteed victory. Lava generated a grat amount of heat, enough that it could flash evaporate certain amounts of water. Regardless of who won, it would likely be a decent battle, one worth paying attention to while she decided. "Eye think I'll give a slide edge two the ice-user. But that own lee if I don't step in to make things more interesting." Her response showed that while she had gotten some more practice, she still needed more work at talking like a fleshling successfully. It was better than before, at least. It also showed that she still had yet to decide if she wanted to jump into the fray, to work out some frustration over her disguise being uncovered so incredibly easy. Speaking of... "All sew, Mamichi. I'm Rumi, Hedoro is still inn the village prop err. Eye think she's getting care reed a weigh a bit." One thing that Hedoro, and Rumi by extension, had not confided in anyone, not even Mamichi. That when she split into multiple forms, they didn't always stay fully connected through the neural matrix she normally relied upon. Most of the time, when she split into multiple forms, she still controlled them all equally. But every once in a while, usually when she was under emotional stress, one of the forms would take the lion's share of that stress and work as a control. That aspect of her would process the emotional overload, whether it be anger, sorrow or any other strong emotion. Only when it was fully calmed down would it return to her awareness. Until then, she would only have a vague idea of where it was, and she would have an extraordinarily difficult task in trying to exert any control over it. Such as now. Even during this entire exchange, Rumi failed to notice too things. One, that while she was in Mamichi's grasp, she wasn't as affected by the cold. And the other, that it was a hug, and not a grapple. [821 + 19,539 = 20,360 out of ??? ]

Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be... Adell and his clones might not have been geniuses. But the glowing of the ice certainly appeared to be a bad sign. The clone that had punched at the mirror couldn't be saved. However, Adell and his remaining clones quickly pulled back. They rushed outwards at slightly different angels. As Adell looked back towards the mirrors. He saw saw a colum of water flying out from the mirrors. However the water just flew out, unaffected by gravity. The water reached out 15 meters, past the edge of the lava he had created. His attacking clone had been frozen over entirely by ice, despite the immense heat of the lava. Adell had jumped at the last moment, falling to the ground and just avoiding his pillar by inches. His other clones remained as well. The water columns had frozen some of the lava from the rising, but not before it would have killed the clones outside of the mirrors. He watched, as the mirrors would drop down, held there by their own mass. He carefully pulled himself to his feet. He had to admit, that had been a close one. Even if his armor could protect against the ice, he would have been trapped, helpless in the column. Adell glanced to his clones, checking that they were alright. Most of them remained. However, one of the magma clones had been caught by the column, it's lower leg trapped in it. It certainly was moving and still alive, but it wouldn't be able to move. It's heat clashed with the ice's cold, as the ice would begin to melt, which the lava leg turned to stone. Tai stood in the center of the mirrors where the clone once stood, he slipped into the position while Adell and his clones were busy dodging the pillar, the ice in the pillar didn't have to worry about the magma the miniscule amount wouldn't affect it over much, people seemed to underestimate how much heat Ice and snow could withstand, the people in the snow countries used to live in homes made of snow heated them and they withstood it easily, this ice was special two. Tai had researched he crystal structures of ice in order to figure which qualities made for rigid or easily breakable ice, the pillar was extremely dense and resistant to separation, the leg of the clone was as good as lost, Tai began to weave signs from the pillars around him began to emerge icy forms, they were of course clones made of ice. as they formed the ground around Tai was frosted over and there was a steady sucking of heat into the place he was, the ice heart was greedily consuming all the heat in the are, thanks to the lava there was plenty... plenty of heat to consume for energy. in a matter of seconds the molten rock on the surface began to change into a more solid form and this was spreading outwards the remaining water clones were not forgotten though, they were busy 'distracting' Adell. Mamichi giggled "I know you've put it all into that segment but you're the one I've been traveling with so I'll stick with you... this battle is bound to attract that one here anyways such rich amounts of chakra she won't be able to resist it, I think your emotional state get's bored when things fall to easily... which of course makes them angrier." as she spoke the humanoid body of Mamichi snuggled in closer, it was obvious she hold a much greater level of expertise with this sort of thing. But there was a grand difference, Mamichi was for the most part still in Maliae form, this body she was in was highly complicated, several types of gel were required, from Rigid to soft and even liquid, after all it had to 'bleed' Bones, flesh and skin. in this way she held the strengths of a Maliae all while maintaining the feign appearance of what Hedoro called Fleshlings. In front of Rumi's face Mamichi would life and open up her hand, in it was an odd amalgamation, it was a ball that held the same properties as she did, a rigid outside, though it was see thorough inside was fluid gel and a structure of rigid gels. "How about we trade? A piece of you for a piece of me." Mamichi giggled slightly and snuggled a little closer to Hedoro her humanoid chest was pushing into her back, they were soft and surprisingly accurate to the real thing. "After all your body is alright but I think you should apply what I know to it... would make it a lot easier for you to control it...." it was an offer in earnest but... what did she want in exchange after all she asked for a piece of her... but what piece?

Boil release: Explosive Acid His clones stayed back, as he sprayed out a thick mist. The mist would rise up and flow out over the area around the mirrors. The water clones, if caught, would be readily killed by the corrosive effect. As it would flow out over Tai's position, as well as that of his clones. It was intended to kill them off as well. Adell was already forming new seals in preparation, however, if they managed to form some kind of defense. Tai saw the cloud of mist and reacted in the same way as he had the first time hand signs signaled the Bringer of Water technique and focusing on the corrosive mist it was quickly turned into a liquid state sadly the water clones were too close to be save but that was that and he had thoroughly replaced them with Ice clones, far more durable than their liquid counterparts. Tai began another set of hand seals these seemed to be taking him quite awhile to perform. Abouthim the Demon mirrors dissipated. But despite the apparent step backwards it wouldn't escape notice, the ice was spreading and Tai was the epicenter 42,500/80,000 1. Bringer of Water -1000 2. 3. The boil technique had been turned into a water-like liquid by the technique. It was worth a shot. He completed his jutsu. And released water chakra into the liquid. Water Style: Great Exploding Current The liquid flowed rapidly towards Tai and his clones, moving to surround them. It would rise up and form a vortex and trap and pull them in. Would it have been normal water it would just fling and drown them. However, the corrosive nature of the liquid made it likely to do even greater harm. Adell once again began making preparations. Two of his magma clones, from the remaining eight, stepped forward. Tai didn't even flinch single handedly he continued to weave signs and as the mass of water came toward him he simply raised a hand a blast of air so frigid and cold came out the liquid was instantly turned into ice, it seemed giving the ice heart so much fuel was a mistake. as ice chunks fell down around him and his clones he continued weaving signs, and after a few seconds he stopped. "100 Demonic Ice Mirrors." Tai muttered under his breath and all around Adell they would form the second he tried to take action he would find that suddenly Tai had advanced with a quick step in his hands was the almost Christmas Ribbon looking thing he wore. it shine for a second and then suddenly he tossed it into the air, it only took a few seconds for the ribbon to entrap the two of them together. And on the outside 100 demon mirrors began to form. "You know they used to say that Avalanches were the way the mountains tested the true strength of a man... Lat's see how you measure up." Tai's voice was soft but it carried the distance. There was no light in this barrier except the dim amount that shined through the ribbon material. And all around them the jangling of icy chains could be heard from the 100 Ice Mirrors technique
