burning_eyes Didn't the manager hear them making a lot of noise? You were only doing your job. Well, at least you didn't lose your job over this.
sweatdrop On Saturday, the first time I knocked they turned down the music and quieted everyone down before answering the door.
The second time, I knocked on the door, they got quiet, but never answered the door. After knocking 4 times, I notified the manager on duty that they quieted down, but were not answering the door. He said, "Ok, I'll just call OPD," not wanting to kick them out of the hotel because they had at least 2 small children in the room, I said I'd try knocking again.
This time someone finally came to the door, acting as if they had just woken up, which I know she couldn't have been as I heard her voice very clearly inside the room about 8 minutes prior and highly doubt she'd be that deeply asleep in so short a time. The other woman in the room came to the door in a righteous rage, because they were asleep and I just woke them up and I was obviously discriminating against her and demanded to see the Manager on Duty RIGHT NOW!
When I got the manager on duty up there, she was ever so very quiet... if you redefine the word as it's antonym... but on the upside she FINALLY turned down her TV, which was consistently loud throughout the entire evening.
I never actually received a reprimand from the Manager on Duty regarding the incident, understanding there is no way in HELL I'd poke THAT Hornet's Nest with a stick, already KNOWING the outcome of that ill-advised decision.
Later on that night when I was patrolling the guest floors and arrived at their floor, I had to hide in a stairwell in the middle of checking that floor, because I heard the sound of the elevator door opening around the corner and then a very familiar pair of voices coming from around the bend in the corridor. Not wanting a repeat of the earlier incidence I hid until they returned to their room then continued on my merry way.
I have a very good idea what would have happened if those ladies saw me on their floor, and how they interpret my presence there, regardless of the truth of the matter.
