If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.

Water leaking in my ceiling. Thought a pipe broke or something, but the maintenance guys says it's from the tub in the apartment above me. They're fixing it now so we shall see.

So far so good. It's weird because I had been hearing a drip for a long time and then all the sudden it was a deluge.

My mom is thinking about moving here and wants me to live with her. I told her to decide by July what she is going to do because my lease is up in October and they want two months notice if I decide to move out.

I hope it works out, I'm realizing that with all the health problems I've been having I need to have someone nearby/support me when I can't take care of myself. I guess I should have actively looked for a husband when I was younger. Now that I'm getting older I think those kind of options become more limited. sweatdrop

My mom can be annoying, but in our relationship I'm the parent and she's the child. It's always kind of been like that. INTJ/ESFP

Those reasons are why I decided to skip apartments and renting altogether and never moved out and am just saving up to buy a house. gonk

This is very wise. If my mom hadn't left Florida after I graduated high school I would have stayed living at home too, but they just packed everything and left. I was homeless and living out of my car for two years because of it. neutral

Last night I botched up something mightily and got accused of discriminating against a family at the hotel. Things might have turned out a bit better if I didn't shrink from conflict the way I always do, instead my actions were interpreted as racism (because, you know, I'm white and the family were all black, and white people are naturally predisposed to racist thoughts and feelings, as is their inborn instinct) and that out of the 740+ rooms in the hotel I could have chosen from, they were the ones I had decided to 'harass', because of a reason as shallow as the color of their skin.

when I responded to the 8th floor on a complaint of noise and out of all 24 rooms on the floor, only 1 room of guests were being noisy. When I knocked on the door to ask them to quiet down, the guest, understandably, became extremely agitated, directly confronting me (loudly, I might add) about the fact that they were being quiet and I had no business bothering them, I was in the wrong and she was placing a complaint to management because I had no business knocking on their door and harassing them. That went well.

The next night they were having a party that could be heard 1/2 way across the floor. When I delivered the noise complaint warning, their only concession was turning off the music, they continues to talk and laugh loudly and never turned down the volume on the TV. Upon the second complaint, of which only their room was making noise out of all 24 again, everything went to fuzzles and the Manager on Duty had to go up and talk to the guest, mostly about how I would be required to take Customer Service Retraining among other things because of my obvious failings in my duties. It went oh so well.
