+[Alrighty! I was thinking that I would have another character [besides mr. Hair, dubbed for his ability to use hair]. This character would from a fanatical spiritualist clan. So fanatical, that they can use their own spirits to fight. Stop me if you have heard of it before, cause I don't remember if I read it somewhere before or not.
Here is the low down. Basically it would enact a summoning, [like a warlock does]. Not sure how quick it should be, but their spirit would be summoned. The amount of time the spirit is able to stay out would be determined by Chakra + Wisdom, and maybe some other minor stats. But here is the main idea. When the spirit is hit, the user gets damaged also. I am still revising this over and over in my head, but I would like to know how this could go down even if it was acceptable.]+

I like the idea, I had a character and plot going on based on the spiritual world but is completely different from this. The best way to put this into use is. Make the status for said spirit. We create a custom skill for the clan that allows you to strengthen the power of said spirit and the spirit stays in the world by absorbing your chakra. In other words every attack he makes would cost you say 3 - 6 something like that CP. Since if you reach 0 CP there is chance you die you can say this is the same as body punishment.

+[That sounds like it would do it just fine... But my main concern is that the spirit litterally is a chakra burn. This would make most of the people relatively weak as hell during prolonged encounters.
Maybe to solve this... how about they regain their chakra in a way which means that they just won't be ridiculously tapped during their Genin and Jounin stage. I see two ways of being able to avoid this hell hole. One is regaining it when their spirit has a successful attack, like a 'Chakra Leech'. [Man am I tempted to just say mana instead of Chakra... damn Magic the Gathering.] Or they could regain it when their spirit is returned to them... which causes a passive absorption technique to kick in?
