"Oh I don't doubt it, I just need to remember where I left that baggie of dried anchovies and he'll be back." Vad chuckled as he remembered how he'd discovered the kitten's fondness of dried anchovies, nearly to the detriment of his fingers.
The kitten poofed back into existence a bit farther always then it'd planned and appeared several inches above Tryniti's head. With a startled cry he fell the short distance, then hopped off her head. Before he hit the ground he disappeared with another 'poof' and scampered off into the trees.

Leaning against the trunk of a tree he sat down and pulled out an old book, opening it's pages he began to read. The cat still on his head seemed to be reading along with him until he jumped off and curled up into a ball on his lap. Tetsuya gently stroked it's back with his free hand only becoming mildly distracted by the cat's loud purring. "Must you pur so loud or is everything about you meant to annoy me?"
"Sounds like someone hasn't been pet in a while." The cat said with a rather large amount of arrogance in his voice. Tetsuya closed the book and smirked."This coming from a creature that licks himself." He opened the book and continued to read, and resumed stroking the cat. "Touche' sir, touche'!" The two remained quite for some time before Tetsuya fell asleep, the book flopping down onto his chest.

Serene sits in the branches of a tree watching the sleeping Tet and his feline friend. She jumps to him curious of the book now lying open and unread in his chest. She reaches for it slowly, so as to try not to wake him from his slumber, to see its contents.

She jumps slightly and nods, smiling wryly. "Yes. I always did wonder what exactly that cat was curious about that got it killed." She tilts her head in thought, a small frown taking the place of the smile for but a moment. "I think I'll take my chances though. Life's no fun without a litte risk right?" He fingers brush the cover of the book lightly

"You really don't have to worry about Tetsuya waking up, he tends to be a deep sleeper." He jumps of her head and walks calmly back to Tet's side. "Allow me to make a point" Without hesitation he bite Tet's arm and let go shortly after.

"Eep!" She squealed as she found herself staring into the cat's eyes before he returned to Tet and bit him. She stared at him for a moment almost astonished at his abrupt action before beginning to laugh. She pokes at Tet a little before snatching the book and turning it over to see its contents.

"You always did strike me as the curious type." He looks down at Vertigo, "I assume that bite was payback for saying you lick yourself, wasn't it?" He put his arms behind his head and looked up at the sky, the moonlight shimmering off his face, Vertigo sat down and nodded happily.

She grins, pouring over the book. "So you're not that deep a sleeper after all." Getting the edge off her curiosity, she closes the book and places it next to her on the ground. She lay on her stomach kicking her feet up in the air and reaches out to Vertigo, her fingers splayed.

Purring as her hand stroked him he slowly layed down and drawled closer to her. Tet let a small chuckle and smiled. "So how have you been? it's been awhile, hasn't it? In fact I don't think I ever thanked you."

He let out a sigh "Whether you remember or not is a different story, but not long ago you tried to help me. However at the time I was still unsure of what was actually happening to me. For that I thank you." Vertigo continued to pur loudly, clearly enjoying himself.

"Oh that. I can't say I really helped much. Probably was more of a hinderance, I thought." She continues stroking Vertigo rather absently as she reflects upon the event. "So what has been the outcome of that exactly? I see you here now but only you'd be able to tell me what true changes have occured."

Tetsuya closes his eyes and relfects upon the situation. "As it currently stands I am unsure of the outcome. Back then what is essentially me, the other half of me...the cruel and sadistic side of me, put me through a constant state of torment and would never give me a moments peace. But since that day it has remained, for lack of a better word dormant. Not that I am complaining or anything." He stands to stretch his body as it had become stiff from lack of movement.

She nods solemnly, rolling onto her back so as not to crane her neck looking up at him. "Here's to hoping it stays as such, dormant." A glass appears in her hand and she raises it as one would for a toast. She sits up taking a sip of the dark liquid and grins happily. "Yummy. Juice."
