@Mr. Turnip: If the sun cannot be seen then sunlight generated abilities should not work in my personal opinion. So I agree with Reach and yourself.
@ Reach: If i were to guess off of the last couple of years tournaments the walls should be somewhere around 2-3 feet thick. You'd need to hit pretty freaking hard to put someone through it.

*swats her Justice paddle at the snakes* I need an adult! {-pegs her with a rapped caramel and goes back to playing dead- x-x
oh and for referance; In these rounds folks? There's no sun right? Like charging from the sun would be bogus in this weather; correct?}Well, here's my explanation. There's still enough natural light for us to see each other right? And there's still enough heat that we don't need to wear jacket in shizz right? Which means there's got to be some energy getting through the clouds, granted a lower amount, as acknowledged in my post, but still some

Not enough to matter.
That's like saying because I have access to a single drop of water in a can, I can turn it into an explosion with Omi. It's technically true, but to such a minuscule degree, it hardly matters.
Or like saying Superman [pre-"I HAVE NO WEAKNESSES AND I AM NOW GOD"], if exposed to a picogram of Kryptonite, would give a damn.
Presumably, same would apply here.

It depends. Do your powers come from the sun, or from UV light?
On some occasions, the UV light is actually stronger on a cloudy day.

Designated Hero It depends. Do your powers come from the sun, or from UV light? On some occasions, the UV light is actually stronger on a cloudy day. This is true. I also imagine that it's still sort of sunny on the horizon on edges of the storm where the cloud cover is lighter, so if he kept to the sides of the arena (or really concentrated on drawing the energy) he could probably do something at some point. I'd play it as taking several posts though, because that isn't a whole lot of sunlight to work with, with how little filters through the storm and what's clearly seen at the edges of the storm.

SHUT UP! Also, I posted. Get ready for the best concert of your life! And to others, the storm is completely covering over the sky. There won't be getting any sunlight or UV rays from here.

Vash Sengou How long of a wait does a person have before becoming a "bye?" Since someone dropped out, that left an odd number in the ranks. If anything, there are possibilities of odd numbers as the tournament progresses. In any event, everything is random, so being a bye is only possible if: the number of participants left is odd and you are randomly picked.
