Not wasting anytime with the intruders, the Pokemon lunged forward baring its fangs. It connected with the Magby, sinking its teeth into the infant Pokemon's leg.
Mike suddenly remembered his fight with the young boy outside Vermillion, he had one of these Pokemon too. What was it called? Kanzey? Eken? Ekans! His reminiscing would have to wait, Napalm's cry of pain reeled him back into the battle. "Napalm, Ember attack now!"
Still trying to shake the poison Pokemon from his leg, the Magby took in a deep breath and exhaled some over-sized sparks on the Ekans, who unclasped his grip. He slithered back, ready to make his next move. A hastey, if not blindingly risky Pokemon, it lurched forward with a Wrap attack, coiling around Napalm. The Magby began to squirm, fighting the grip the larger snake had on him.
"This guy likes to get up close and personal!" Mike let out an almost inappropriate laugh. "Napalm, use Psychic!"
Having no love for small tight spaces, the Magby was too busy thrashing inside the tight grip of the snake to use his attack. He let out a frightened cry, a few tears rolling down the side of his face, evaporating instantly.
He didn't like where this was going, he gripped Napalm's Pokeball tight, ready to call him back if things got worse. "Come on Napalm you can do it!"
"Be strong little master!" Portabello cried out, his usual calm exterior instead yielding to a slight look of panic.

Karri nodded ready to go once they were ready. Teleporting both Kasiya and Mitsu was going to be tough considering that Saffron was already far away from their current location. To be honest Karri wasn't even sure she could pull off the incredible feat.
Mitsu held out the red Pokenav agreeing with Kasiya. She'd be a fool to not have gotten her number. M.A. did help her out and she was planning on returning the favor someday. "I'd like to exchange numbers as well," Mitsu asked.
Karri seemed perfectly still summoning up her courage. She only hope that she wouldn't screw up and teleported the duo somewhere bizzare. Like the moon or something. She took in a deep breath looking at the three trainers. Any day now.

"Don't be sorry," M.A. said, finding it easier to smile when Kasiya brightened up. "And that sounds great, too." Quickly, as to not delay their departure any further, she entered in her number twice, then received theirs, holding her own orange Pokenav to her chest after the exchange was done and nearly beaming. That expression faded a bit a moment later when realizations set in; it was sad that she couldn't go with them . . . she wanted to, but it wasn't right for her yet, and it wouldn't be any good to them either. But this wasn't a good-bye for good, she reminded herself; they'd meet again, some day!
"Good luck. . .," she said softly, standing back to give Karri some room. "And bye -- I mean, see you later, and have a safe trip." In the same way she waved farewell to her own Michael so many times, she smiled cheerily and waved to them, to set them off on a bright note the way she would have done for her brother.

The Ekans took the little Fire Pokemon's lack of offense and landed a point blank Poison Sting attack, firing little needles at the Magby's bulbous head.
Mike and Portabello stood in almost identical poses, both having their fists and teeth pressed together. "You can do it Napalm!" His trainer shouted, worried about his little friend as he saw Napalm disappear in a large mass of purple.
Ekans began to feel his body heat up, but kept his grip on his soon to be lunch. Just then, a loud scream was heard, as the snake's body was covered in a light blue hint. The Ekans was ripped away from Napalm, and thrown to the ground with devastating force. It recoiled, moving back in shock, rubbing his body on the ground in attempts to get rid of the burns lining his skin.
Mike let out a cheer, as Portabello let out a relieved sigh. "I knew you had it in you Napalm, give him hell!"
Napalm landed on the ground with an almost feral look on his face. The area below his eyes were all bubbled over from crying. Baring his claws, the little Pokemon charged at the Poison Pokemon, screaming his little lungs out.

Feeling the sickening effects of poison setting in, Napalm flinched before reaching the Ekans, the scalding effect of the snakes bite causing his skin to bubble over even more.
Ekans snapped forward, leaping out of his skin that was afflicted by the burn, feeling almost as good as new. Rearing back, he clamped his mouth down...
...but met only air as the Magby yelped and fell over, unintentionally dodging the attack.
"Napalm, use Psychic again!" Mike yelled over the hectic fight, suddenly not feeling so worried.
Napalm closed his eyes, picturing the scary snake in his mind, a light tint of blue covering his foe...

Another thought struck Kasiya at the sight of the PokeNavs, and she quickly gave M.A. Kilik's number, as well as entered it into her own. Once she was finished, Kasiya stowed away the device in its usual pocket. She tugged on the hem of her glove, waiting patiently for Karri and the others to be ready. When all numbers had been exchanged and accounted for, she smiled brightly at M.A. "See you around!" Kasiya winked at her new friend, and turned to Mitsu and Karri. "I'm ready," she said, doing her best to supress her fear.

Kilik slipped his hands into his large pockets, humming to himself. Take my hand...take my whole...life...too.. he thought the words as he walked. Suddenly, he stopped humming and looked around. It was rather quiet on the Route he was on. There was nobody here. The trainers that seemed to be here before had moved on. The boy sighed. Besides Elekid, he was all alone. "What I wouldn't give for someone to talk to..." he whispered, continuing his trek to the gate leading to the Ilex Forest.

"Thank you! And see you soon!" Mitsu said with a smile before giving Karri a quick nod. Karri closed her eyes concentrating on Kasiya's thoughts. "I hope I don't leave Mitsu behind somewhere," she thought. She extended her elegant white arm and placed her hands on Kasiya and Mitsu's foreheads. With a bright blinding flash of light a tear in the seemingly normal Pokemon Center building appeared and the trio dissappeared into it. The tear closed up as soon as it arrived surprising more than several of the trainers that had been watching the TV intently.
Saffron was a farther than Karri has expected and soon could feel the strains of the teleportation. "Don't tell me I'm the one getting teleporatation sickness?!" she thought. She gave a quick sneeze and apparently let go of the two trainers. Another tear formed and the trio were soon dumped out landing next to what appeared to be a Pokemon battle. This was definately not Saffron. "Oops."

Napalms concentration suddenly broke as a large cluster of people appeared no less than twenty feet from them. The Ekans got jittery and began to slither away, vastly outnumbered. Napalm let out an angered cry, and chased after the snake, tackling it. Soon the two were engaged in a brawl, no special moves, just clawing and biting.
Mike squeaked as the blinding flash caught him by surprise. "What the hell is going on!?" He screamed, trying to find where his Pokemon had gotten too.
I think we have some guests. Portabello stated simply.

Now knowing better, Kasiya closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. She focused her thoughts on Saffron City...
It felt as though she was being pulled and tugged from all directions, but this was normal. The normal feeling of nausea and dizziness wasn't present this time, although Kasiya opened her eyes in surprise as Karri sneezed. A split second and a flash of light later, she was dumped roughly on the ground, lying flat on her stomach. She groaned, and pulled herself to her knees, brushing dirt and grass from her chest and stomach. A familiar voice rang through the air, and Kasiya looked up to see an all-too welcome face.
"Mike!" she cried, her bewildered smile melting into one of happiness, and then into one of relieved joy before she started sobbing again. "I thought you were dead!" she wailed between half-muffled sobs.

Mitsu picked herself up off the gound, brushing some dirt off herself. She soon spotted Mike, with the aid of Kasiya's scream. Too say the least she was definately not expecting to find him of all people there. Then again, she reasoned, she wasn't expecting to de dumped near the outskirts of town. Mitsu soon found herself confused, she really didn't know what was going on and surprised to hear the fact that Kasiya had thought he was dead. Mitsu couldn't help but asking, "Dead?! What's going on?" She looked at Kasiya then Mike for an explaination. One of them had to know.
Karri looked around a bit confused as well. "Ahah. Looks like I messed up," she said glancing around seeing the familar faces.

Napalm had lost sight of his trainer in the chaos of the battle, defeating the Ekans was his main focus, with or without his trainer's help. This was for survival now. The snake Pokemon grabbed onto Napalm with his mouth, lifting him up and slamming him onto the ground, determined not to be on the losing end. Exhaling another blast of Embers at the Poison type, Napalm could feel his body temperature rising to levels he'd never felt before. The grass beneath his feet began to wilt and die. "Ekaaanss!" The snake hissed as he fired another volley of barbs at Napalm, all but a few hitting their mark. The baby Pokemon cried out, the attack only reminded him of the increasing toxins inside his body. Napalm heard a cry, it wasn't Mike's. Using his Psychic powers, he hurled the Ekans over his head towards the commotion, the snake unknowingly slithered towards Mike and the others.
Mike really didn't know what to make of the 'dead' remark. "Um, I'm quite fine, don't you worry!" He noticed Mitsu, and only had the time to nervously wave before the Ekans slithered at top speed at him, wrapping around his left leg. He let out a scream as the Poison type applied pressure, it really hurt.
Master! Portabello yelled, dashing towards the boy and his new 'pant-leg'. I'll take care of this beast!
"No!"
The Breloom stopped dead in his tracks. Who said that? He asked, looking around frantically.
"Me, Napalm!" The small Fire Pokemon squeaked, running as fast as his little legs could carry him.

Mitsu was still as confused as ever, but relieved to hear the he was fine. Although he wouldn't be fine for long. The purple snake, Mitsu had no clue what that was either, had found it's way around mike's legs after having been tossed from seemingly no where. Mitsu gave a quick gasp wanting to help. She turned to Karri ready to voice out an attack. Both Karri and Portabello seemed ready to sprng into action and save Mike, but both stopped short. Mitsu caught a glimpse of a small red Pokemon, she didn't know which kind that was either. Being a fire type she assumed it must have been Mike's and watched the little Pokemon scurry into action.

M.A. watched them as they left, awestruck by the rip that seemed to appear in the air. "So that's what teleporting looks like. . . I wonder what it feels like?" she murmured to herself, her waving hand slowly falling to her side. Her smile fell a bit as well, for she realized that she was alone again. Just a girl and her Pokemon in the middle of the Pokemon center lounge, with no one to turn to and find some warm, friendly company.
Well, it was absolutely great to have met them! she persisted in her head, and her spirits rose considerably. See you around soon, they had said. Right. And next time, I promise I'll -- we'll -- be stronger, and we can definately help out by your sides!
Ulani let herself out of her Pokeball, settling herself on M.A.'s head. She looked around confusedly, trying to find the two other people her master had been with -- more importantly, she wanted to go to that kind Ivysaur. They had disappeared, though, and she sighed a little song before letting herself be satisfied with just Mary-Anne.

As the Ekans proceeded to become Mike's new anklet, Kasiya stopped crying long enough to take in the situation. The fierce cries of the Magby caught her attention, and even though he looked ready to take on the world, Kasiya, having experienced this ailment in one of her own Pokemon just last night, knew the youngster was suffering from poison. Her thoughts trailed back to the two plump Pecha Berries she still had, and took her bag from her back and reached into it, looking for the healing berry.
