Oh, manga. Yeah.
I still don't think you're catching my point here though. Books; pages of written text, usually novels by best-selling authors. Read the text, absorb it, and assimilate it into a rp'ing style of your own.
Hmmm... do you like Star Wars?

There's many novels out there based on movie/tv series and video games. There's a few out there for Starcraft; a lot for Warhammer 40k; Star Trek, Star Wars, a ton of other series. Hell, there's even Buffy novels. If you go to amazon.com and click the books link, just punch in a title and there'll probably be a few novels on it.

mad Well, if you really want to become a better roleplayer, it's a good way to start. It's either that, or you can go around here and do much of the same thing. Either way, the only way you're going to get better is by RP'ing with others and assimilating other people's writing abilities to form your own, or picking up some books that you think you'll like, and reading them, doing much of the same. You'll notice that the majority of people who RP here write their posts very much like novels.
And, I think I'm going to have to bring out Bad Mister DM.

sweatdrop Nobodies asking for a book report, bear in mind. Just a little knowledge of the basics.
Leviathan is a predominantly fantasy based RP Guild, and the best way to enjoy that and use it to it's potential is to know the territory. So reading is good, yes'um. 3nodding
