I'm a senior this year, so I'd like to know what it's like, what you get to do, how hard the music is, and what you can do after you graduate? That's a lot to ask, but it's really exciting for me! Tell me if you have time. 3nodding

I've played the saxophone for five years now. I started with the Alto for two years, then switched to a Tenor in seventh grade. I'm now in tenth grade, and I've played the tenor ever since.
I'm in Jazz band, Pep Band, Music listening, the MBDA (Minnesota Band Director's Association. I'm a regular when it comes to visiting honor bands.), Winter Pep Band, Spring Jazz, Multiple ensemble competitions, and I'm in the higher up band in our school called the Wind Symphony.

Oh yes, I also have a question.
When I play a D (Middle of the scale D, not the highest D.), that metal bar on top that allows you to play it, on the tube extending from the mouthpiece, y'know? It sticks up, and opens the hole on that tube, causing my D to squeak up to a High A.
Do you have any solutions to this? I've looked all over. I think it's sticking, but I don't know where.....?

Terra of the Lilies Oh, well that's helpful, too. xd My sister just went into college, so we don't have money for me to spend on music stuff, other than band fees.
o.o lol...my older sister and both my older brothers are going to college this year...but i guess it helps that it's the community college and they all have butt loads of scholarships xD

XD At least I was honest, and didn't just go look on the internet for a saxophone model to make myself appear smart. XD

XD i wasn't insulting your stupidity. i think your stupidity is perfectly reflective of the information you've shown me razz i was insulting your intelligence. but seriously, it might have done you a little good to have actually researched before asking the question. it probably would have helped your intellectual appearance a little bit.
