Tim tried very, very hard, but as soon as he got out of the shower he passed out on his bed. It was only Andy shoving him awake did Tim fully wake up and rush out, thankful for the fifteen minute nap. Unfortuantely, when you're rushing to go someplace you always seem to catch every red light, and Tim was panicking in his mind hoping Jason wouldn't think him cheating or anything. But he did get there, taking the elevator up and going to knock on the man's door, waiting excitedly andleaning forward to hug him when the door was opened. "I'm sleepy because Andy as his girlfriend had good morning sex. How was your morning?" and looked up, pecking the man's lips and walking in. Excuse done, and Tim did still feel tired but with that nap he could handle hanging out with Jason for a few hours without passing out. And since Tim had told Jason numerous times of Andy's hobby it as bound to be believable. Yes, he was getting better at this lying thing.

The excuse for a greeting made Jason wary, why was Tim so quick to throw it in his face? normally one would wait until asked, or after yawning or nearly falling asleep before saying anything. Tim's needing to throw it out there made him a bit nervous, especially with his new found knowledge of Daren's return. but maybe he was just reading into things. Tim didn't exactly have the best experiences from before, maybe he was scared that it would annoy Jason to have him be tired without an explanation. "if you are tired, why don't we take a nap? i've only had a few hours of sleep myself, i'm sure we both could use one. no point going out to eat when we are both exhausted." he slipped his hand into Tim's and kissed his knuckles, "come on, let's lay down. we can get food afterwards." he didn't work tonight so they finally could have a good long time together.

"Only if you're tired." and couldn't hide the blush as his knuckles were kissed, guilt tugging at the back of his mind. Jason was always so generous and loving. "I think a nap sounds lovely." and followed the man to the bedroom, taking off his shoes and belt, removing his shirt as to not wrinkle it before laying on the bed in his pants and under-shirt. "Was it at least an easy night last night?" he murmured, waiting for Jason to lay beside him so he could curl against him. "Nothing too bad?"

Jason lay down behind Tim, spooning him as he settled down. the question made him groan and he pushed his face into Tim's hair, hiding himself in his lover's scent. "god, work was a nightmare. Halloween brings out the worst in people. i mean, people are pretty bad as it is, but come halloween they get mean...and weird and just-" he shook his head, remembering a panicking mother that brought in her three year son who was throwing up blood. he had eaten some candy before she could check it and someone has slipped glass into one of the chocolates. they had pumped his stomach and were keeping a close watch, but there was nothing more they could do for the poor boy. "i really hate Halloween. i'll take the fire burns of the Fourth and the kitchen accidents of Thanksgiving any day."

Tim smiled, feeling the man lay behind him, enjoying the arm that snaked its way around his waist. Hearing Jason though he sighed softly, feeling the man's pain as his hair was used as a hiding place. "Come thanksgiving I'll make sure I cause a lot of kitchen accidents, then." he teased, turning his head to peck the man's lips. "We'll sleep for an hour or two, then we can cheer up at iHop or something, all right? Breakfast for lunch or something." and kissed him again before returning to his original position. "Ah but you bought things for lunch, right? Ihop another time, then."

Jason shrugged, "we can go out if you want." he kissed Tim back before being reminded. it seemed like a good time to bring it up, probably wouldn't have another chance. "Speaking of the store, guess who i saw?" he looked into Tim's eyes, looking for any hint of his already knowing, "Daren! can you believe it? i didn't know he was back, did you?"

Tim smiled at the kiss, shaking his head softly. "No, you bought things. We can stay." and stayed looking at him, nuzzling the man's jawline before pulling away, curious at who Jason saw. Someone important? Someone famous? "Daren!"Tim's eyes widened, fear shocking every nerve in is being as he stared. A million different scenarios ran through his mind. What to say, how to say it, how to act, but his entire body refused to move or react. All he could do was stare. How would Jason respond to this? How about that? What if Tim said this? What if he knew that Tim knew? When his lungs burned for oxygen he remembered to finally breathe. "I-Is that so?" he said, mustering up a weak and small smile, "We should pay him a visit. I-If I remember properly his favorite food was lasagna." and turned away, heart beating loud in his chest, fear pulsing through every vein and guilt leaving a bitter taste in his mouth.

He already knew. it was so obvious, everything about him screamed that he had known and was now trying to hide it. but it could just be Jason being paranoid, right? there was every chance of that. He took a moment as he studied Tim's back, to evaluate his reactions. there only other thing it could have been was fear and Tim had never, not once, been afraid of Daren. not even after everything that happened. "It's ok," he said softly, he didn't want this to become an issue. if they talked about it now, then it would be over and done with, right? Tim had to have his reasons for not telling him. "You already knew, didn't you?" his voice was soft, but he was afraid if he spoke any louder Tim would think he was yelling, "tell me the truth, Tim. did you know he was back already?"

Jason's voice was soft, it reminded Tim of those tv shows where the animal rescuers would talk to corners and afraid animals, and that's how he felt. He felt trapped, cornered, like Jason knew and was looking straight through the red-head. Hearing Jason question him, ask if he knew, the man only nodded. He knew. He'd known since Daren was back. He brought Daren back. He opened his mouth to lie, but Jason already knew he was lying, and when Andrew and Darren knew... Memories of pain bloomed across his body, man curling up tighter as though to avoid these hurts. "He's been back for two months." he whispered softly, not wanting to anger the man behind him. "I brought him back, Andy found him and I had to convince him to come back." Should he mention that he slept with him? spent Halloween with him? Tim's breathing grew quick at the thought, staring blankly at the wall. He couldn't tell Jason that. It never happened. It didn't happen. It never happened.

Tim was curled up and Jason rolled onto his back, staring at the ceiling. brought him back? If Tim went to such extremes, having Andy find Daren and then bringing him back while they were still going out. "Should we end this?" he asked, feeling his heart breaking, but knowing that Tim didn't love him. not really. his heart was stuck on Daren and Jason didn't think he would ever be le to claim it fully as his own. he would rather hurt now than have to live for who knew how long with a man that would never fully love him. "Daren-" he sighed, "you just can't let him go, can you? it's ok. i've had fun and really enjoyed our time together, but you don't really love me, do you?"

Tim grit his teeth, tears spilling from his eyes. "I wanted a stable relationship." he whimpered, hugging himself and closing his eyes. "I wanted something normal, and something that didn't hurt. And I liked it, but then Andy said he found him, I don't know what happened." he didn't want Jason to know he was crying. This was Tim's fault so why was he himself crying? "He doesn't even like me I don't know why I like him. I'm sorry, Jason. I'm really so sorry." He forced himself to stop crying, he caused this why was he crying? Jason should be crying, he was more heartbroken. "I like you I really do, but, I don't," he couldn't even bring himself to finish his the sentence. He didn't love Jason at all. "I'm so sorry. I really am so sorry. For everything." For being awful, for cheating, for lying, for not loving him back. He wished he could say that he wished Andy had never found Daren but... "I'm really so, so sorry, Jason."

"Yeah," Jason said softly, pushing himself up so he was sitting. he turned, placing his legs on the floor and his feet on the ground, "yeah, me too. guess we were both rebounding." he stood up and walked to the door, he knew that if he looked at Tim, he'd break. that would be it and he couldn't do that. "it was nice, just so you know. i really," he paused, "really enjoyed what we had. i'm sorry that it couldn't be more." he walked out of the room and went to the one place he knew he could hide. he pulled out an old key that hadn't been used in a long long time and opened the door to Ian's room. he stepped inside and was hit with the smell of his husband. he knew he could break down here, among his things. he was safe here." He walked to Ian's old bed, the one that was only used when the bigger one had been too dirtied to sleep, and sat down, looking over the old photographs and mementos. "I miss you," he whispered, the tears finally filling his eyes, "i miss you so much-"

Rebounding. Tim had told himself that when they first dated. That Jason was just a rebound and that he wouldn't get too attached. But this hurt, this hurt too bad, he got attached even if it wasn't as deeply as it was with Daren, but he still got attached. He stayed curled, afraid to see Jason's face. But all he heard was the man walk around him and leave, the sound of something unlocking and closing again. Then silence. Carefully uncurling he sat up, looking around before putting his things back on before walking into the hallway. And there he heard it, small whimpers. brown eyes looked away before he silently walked out, closing the door behind him. He drove home, tears curbed, guilt and shame in his face as he parked and walked up the stairs, unlocking Andy's door. Andy wasn't there. Tim wasn't sure what to do with himself, closing the door and looking around curiously. What did one do when alone and feeling like a piece of s**t? The hum of the refrigerator hit his ears and his head perked, making a beeline for the kitchen and opening the fridge, looking at all the drinks left from last night. He took out a beer, deciding to start there. By the time Andy would come home Tim was a sobbing pitiful mess, drunk off of everything and angry at himself and Andy who kept getting too close.

It was dark by the time Jason walked out of Ian's room again. he got his keys and drove a bar he favored, needing to get drunk as quickly as possible. he sat at the bar, next to a dark haired man he thought he recognized as someone there frequently as well. he ordered shots first, something strong, he couldn't remember what. after the first three, he was finally starting to feel a bit back to normal. "Might want to slow down, friend," Iroh said as he watched the man downing drinks. he looked familiar, but he was too drunk to remember why. "not that i'm one to speak." he shook his head, "you know what? ******** it, next round is on me." Jason nodded to the man and together they drank far into the night.

Andy was concerned when he got home, finding his friend on the kitchen floor surrounded by empty bottles. He went to check on him but Tim quickly snapped, the blond able to see the swollen red eyes, cheeks littered with tears, the wrinkled clothes. He had to ask what was wrong, Tim saying it didn't happen and repeating it over and over again, saying it didn't happen and he was a bad boyfriend. Then the red-head took another drink of wine, at least sober enough to still drink from a cup instead of the bottle. It took another hour and a half to finally realize what was wrong. Jason had politely ended their relationship because he realized Tim still had affection for Daren. "Timothy," Andy said softly, finally getting closer to comfort his friend. "I just don't want to feel it because it hurts." he friend sobbed. It took Andy another hour before finally helping the man up, forcing him to puke up the sheer amount of alcohol in his gullet before putting him to bed. The next morning, despite how shitty Tim looked and how little sleep they' gotten, they both still went to work, and Tim seemed to perk up and acted like nothign was wrong. It frightened Andy, how easily his friend's face shifted. he watched him carefully all day but the man showed no signs of a hangover or heart break or anything. Maybe that was why Andrew's abuse had gone unnoticed for so long. But Tim went home first, having completed his work early so Andy let him, unsure if he should tell Daniel. He decided not too, driving home and finding Tim drinking in his room because 'it's less shameful to do it in private.' And The blond let him, doing his own thing and errands before coming back to Tim vomiting over the toilet. This continued for the next week and a half, trashcan filling with glass bottles quicker and quicker each day. Andy had to take out the trash on both trash days to get rid of the mess. Thursday evening, Tim was stuck in his bedroom again and Andy sighed, picking up the phone and dialing. At least Timothy wasn't drinking himself to vomitting anymore, but the bottles were still increasing which is what was most worrisome. He was drinking far too much and at this rate he'd need his stomach pumped or a liver transplant. Maybe Daren could talk him out of it. "Darren it's Andy. Tim's drinking his liver to death I need you to come over."
