Ah that's Fefnir's work there. He has a bit more experience in Tabletop games and saw how it could be incorporated. I've got to agree it's nice and should really spruce up the ability to create compelling characters.
I've yet to see it in action but I'm looking forward to seeing our profile format as well once it's done. I've got a character in mind I'd like to play too.

Yeah, I'm glad that the guild is changing and becoming more unique.
I have a basic idea for a character, but that's about it. I've only thought of the appearance and "playing style" so far.

That's pretty much all you'll need. Maybe select a squad too.
New thing there actually. No second review process when joining a squad. That could seriously slow down entry into the RP which is something we want to avoid at all costs.

So you're automatically in after your profile is approved?

If that's the squad you decided you wanted to join then yes. They're more like a way of saying.
"I'd like to do medical work" or "I want to come up with brilliant plans" rather than deciding who you will be working with.
So for example a unit of Shinigami you work with one RP might contain a Squad 4, Squad 1, Squad 6 and Squad 9 and 2 members. This could be because your work is an Assassination but you require a distraction to enter the enemy compound. Furthermore you're worried about the safety of the Squad 1 member so you bring a Squad 4 member to keep an eye out. However because the Squad 2 Member has shown they don't keep to orders the Squad 9 member of the military police is accompanying them (though likely joining in the distraction) while the Squad 2 member carries out the deed.
EDIT: The Squad 6 member is there to gain an understanding for the architecture and make escape and entrance plans for the Squad 2 member. He probably also joins in on the distraction.
In the old style (and I'm sure you'll agree) you tended to spend a lot of time with characters alike to your own because of the squad you had joined. In this RP it's likely you'll spend time with a variety of different personalities depending on what the situation calls.

Okay, I understand now. So it's like an RPG, where you wouldn't want to have four Tanks or something like that. That...makes a lot of sense, now that I think about it.

Sort of I guess since the idea is you'll be working with a variety of talents. That's a good way of describing it. Of course we won't be using dice for much if at all so it's not truly an RPG.

Well, yeah. I just meant it was similar in the way people work together.

Yep that's true.
That said I'd probably bring four tanks and a healer to some fights. At least they'd be able to stand out the fire.

Just four tanks wouldn't be very good, though.

Oh...?
I see that the slow operation of the RP began. Yet, there is no profile sub-forum yet. Would that be advisable? Characters could get confusing sometimes. I still want to be as backup though.

Well if you're using a Windows Computer or even an Apple Mac (Enjoying your hardware at double price?) just open a word processor and write the essentials.
A lot of the stuff for the old profile format could also be reapplied. Want me to go get you the Profile Formats? You could save the profile to your computer for a while and then I'll help you by reworking it into the new systems.

Nah, that's okay. I'm just being ol' dunderhead again. Maybe I'll take your advice regarding the character though.
The Aspect is killing me. I was never good at catchphrases.

If you want to describe your character I'll see if I can help.
Of course I won't intrude on your business either. Just remember an Aspect should be something good for igniting both conflict and interest in your character.

So is there a limit to the amount of aspects a character can have? Or is it just as many as we need to describe our characters?
