Techpriest Enginseer I think it would work if you had a really good group that was dedicated to the idea which should be easy to find. The only major concern I think would be keeping it 'fresh' since you would have a lot of the same players characters coming back fight after fight for the title. Just like the real WWE, amiright?!

I think it works for WWE because watching and being there are two different things. I can say without a doubt from personal experience the third - forth time you have to fight a character with minimal differences it can almost become a chore. While it can be cool to see from a spectator view the grudges and the behind the scenes trash talk in the garage from Camera 6, I would think the combat would start to go stale.
Great idea I just think the PR behind it would have to be cool for it to last long term. Would need to attract people more and more over time.

I decided I wasn't going to use Tres as the General Manager or owner or anything, I think I have a more appropriate character. Yeah the WWE I think is worse off for it. I think if they put over new talent more they would be a better company. I don't want the same old faces in this thing, I want new people all the time. I want me to have to stop letting people in because there are just too many people interested.

That's an interesting place. (I do not know anything about freeform RP outside of gaia and the rare incursions like Valucre.) Is it pretty active?

Starting to sound more and more like an event rather then a tournament imo, Tech's statement of the re-curring cast makes it more the case.

Why? Guild is pretty active.
Tres: Yeah. Their fighting scene is kind of small and growing, and the rest of the site is pretty active from what I've seen.

Try not to focus on what you can do to drag in hundreds, focus on what you can do to drag in a happy 10+ and then go from there. smile I am sure such an idea would have a good response from the fighting community but even it has limits, and when stuff like HoH/GTB/Whatever starts to kick back up it could take a hit. It seems like such an idea would rely on getting fresh blood into the fighting scene, which can be difficult since for a majority of role-players this is a hobby that allows for either escape or just casual chillin out as a 100 year old looks 15 fox demon vampire wolf.

Yeah that would be a challenge. A good 10 is good for me though. Thats about what I got in Sigil. Hopefully I can get that though lol

Huh; I've never heard of Sup brand cigarettes...
...because they must sell them singly at convenience stores in bad neighborhoods, along with copper scrubbing pads, glass pipes, metallic spray paint, and sweat socks.
