Angel looked at Van, a lost and hungry look in her eyes. She would never forget the taste of god blood. "No, we have to protect Van, 'cause he's all important and stuff. Maybe if we could find Lupa, I could send her to my darling brother with a message, and they could join us..."
Lupa, who had been following from a discreet distance (having found them interesting enough to tail) said, "No problem, honey. I'll tell him to get his sorry behind to you soon as possible." She cut a lock of hair from Angel's head with a knife, and then started sprinting in human form. She couldn't reach the speed she did in her other form, but she could run pretty fast, and her smelling was just as good.

"Van can handle just about anything without any problems. Though now that he's having power issues, he's got Mala to smack him around a bit to get him to back down. Believe me, those two are the last ones we need to worry about in terms of protection." Riley said with a smile.

Angel made a soft noise and then stated her other reason for wanting to stick with Mala and Van: "But Lala looks like mommy!" Her voice had a bit of whine in it.

"But you have to remember that she's not." Riley said. "Besides, you're a mommy now too. You should try to act at least a little more mature for Jezebellun's sake."

Angel made a soft whimpering noise that indicated she was close to crying. "But... but... she's so nice and warm..." Jezebellun made a little noise, and Angel was suddenly cheerful again, nuzzling her cheek. "Jezzy always knows what to say."

"But I'm the one you get to snuggle with." Riley said giving the pair a light hug so as not to crush Jezebellun between the couple.

Smiling, Angel skipped to the other couple and pressed Jezebellun into Van's hands, and then she jumped on Riley, kissing him.

"Um....hi...." Van said, utterly confused by the baby that was suddenly shoved into his arms. He looked back at Mala with a small sheepish smile on his face, wondering what her take on this randomness was, when Jez decided to do what most babies do: grab at whatever was being dangled in front of them. In this case, Van's long silvery hair. "YOW!! Okay, ow; that hurts; ow, ow, ow...." he said, head tilted a bit from the baby pulling on his hair.

"Guess that makes us the babysitters for now." Mala joked. Once Jezebellum started yanking at Van's hair, however, she attempted to distract the baby and make her let go of Van's hair.

"Okay, hair is going back now." Van said, handing Jez over to Mala while he tied his hair back to try and prevent any further incidences of hair grabbing.

Riley caught Angel before she toppled them both over, and gently hugged her as she pressed her lips against his.

"I never really realized how much of a hazard long hair could be around babies." Van said, making sure there wasn't a single stray hair for Jez to grab onto. "Like hell am I getting a hair cut though. I like my flowing locks, thank you very much." he said in mock pretty boy fashion.

"I wouldn't let you cut it anyway. I like it long." Mala said, keeping her gaze on the baby she was holding. Mala was somehow thankful that she currently had her hair short.
