That the Scyther was indeed. And it was going to be something Aden would figure out that I could take advantage of as well. "Golduck! Psych Up!" I shouted.
Golduck focused, looking dead at the Scyther. With a bit of a spin, the Golduck had his flipper like claws out. This duck was ready to dish pain. If that Scyther was going to take Golduck out like that, he'd give him hell before he do. And considering the Screech, the next attack was probably going to hurt immensely.

"(Well, now what?)"
"Keep it simple. Slash! And actually do more than swing a scythe!"
Scyther figured this meant "swing more than one scythe" when Aden said that. For now, though, he'd keep to the listening. Getting to Golduck in a hurry, he did a pair of swings with his scythes. It was a start, at least.

And actually do more than swing a scythe!" Scyther figured this meant "swing more than one scythe" when Aden said that. For now, though, he'd keep to the listening. Getting to Golduck in a hurry, he did a pair of swings with his scythes. It was a start, at least. "Golduck! Move!" Golduck managed to dodge one swipe, but the other scythe that came around came down upon him. "GOLDUCK!" He shouted. That one...hurt. "Golduck! Fury Swipes!" I shouted. Golduck managed to get back on its feet. One harsh swipe after another in retaliation came upon the Scyther.

Fury Cutter, more than one scythe... okay. Scyther went to try again, only to end up taking the harsh series of swipes. The last of them sent him back, back on his knees and strugging to maintain that much.
Seeing Scyther still try to get up, Aden raised a hand. "Enough, Scyther. If you can't keep fighting, it's fine. Don't push yourself."
A bit of silence on that one.

Scyther was letting his pride get the better of him. "He's right, Scyther. There's nothing at stake here." I told him. "You don't need to put yourself through a ringer any more than you have to." "Golduck." The Golduck spoke up in agreeance. "This was nothing more to get you into the game, if anything. You know. A spar. You had those back in the forest with others, have you not?" I asked. "I'm sure you have."

"I didn't say you were. But from that, I'd think there was a matter of territory. Or to see which one was superior. Look around us, I don't think there's any territory to worry about. As for the superiority... well, you haven't met his Scizor."
There was a look, wondering if it was a good idea to find out. Judging that this was probably a harsher opponent than Golduck was, then maybe it'd do him good to shut up.
"But this is all up to you. You've listened as long as I wanted you to, and I'm glad for that. The spar's over either way. Another hit from Golduck would probably make sure you wouldn't be knelt down."

Aden just shrugged. He was starting to get used to having these moments.

"(...I'll stop.)" Apparently, Scyther wasn't prideful enough to be a dirt connoisseur.
"Then that's fine. We'll get you checked up to be safe, and from there, you can rest or whichever." Aden said, taking a ball back out. "For now, it'll be easier if you're in here, so return for now."
Before a protest could be given, Scyther found himself being recalled.
Aden, on the other hand, shrugged. "At least he wasn't as rough as I thought."

"Perhaps in the meantime we can show him the rest of your team...well, once they're out of the bandages and such. That wouldn't make too much of a first impression if you ask me. He's still a bit leery of you, if I didn't know better, but at least the two of you are on talking terms." I said to him.

Makes me wonder how Bugsy managed to tame the one he's got, though..." "He had that one forever. Incidentally, I'm actually a bit surprised he hasn't evolved it. Though, sometimes in a case like that, leaving it unevolved has its benefits. While it doesn't have the assault power like its evolved state would, it does, however, have a hellacious amount more speed." I said. "Anyways, let us head back to the Pokemon Center and go check up on your Pokemon. See how they are holding up."

The duck responded. I then recalled the Pokemon back into its ball. With that, I then made my way off towards the city once again, namely for the Pokemon Center.

Aden would be a bit quicker than Blizzard this time around, already getting inside the Pokemon Center to drop Scyther off with the nurse. As soon as he was done with that, he went on ahead to get back to the rest of his team.

Aden would still find his Poliwhirl, Flaffy, and Nidoran would still be in the room. Given the time frame and all, it was a good possibility that the sedatives have finally started to wear off. While Nidoran and Flaffy was probably still in pain, at least they were able to get a bit of rest, if anything, probably feeling better now compared to earlier today.
