I think maybe the heat of August make any women close to term go into labor.
I bet exploring caves would be kinda cool and creepy at the same time. When I lived in California, we hiked the pinnacles and part of the trail led to some caves, and a waterfall. I was pretty cool, and the coolness was a relief after the long trek!!! I caught a glimpse of that cave with the giant crystals. That's gotta be wild to see in person!
I just painted my nails black... for the first time. I like it. I guess that was totally random...

I wish there were caves like that here. I have seen some waterfalls though, in the UP. They were really neat, although I didn't get a real chance to see them for too long, since we were on a trip to a wedding and we were late.
I've had my nails black only once and it was for Halloween.

Well, I wasn't feeling as adventurous as my usual splurge of fire-engine red, but didn't want to stick to my usual mauve and pinks. Never to old to try something new!!! wink

Yes, I def feel like Summer went by way too fast. It's still hot as hell though. And all that activity in the Atlantic has me on alert. Still, down here, we may not actually start feeling any cool fronts until Halloween or sometimes even around Christmas! We'll see how it goes this year.
What's up Pie? U feeling a little down? Don't hold back... I've been fighting the blues often lately. All of life's hum-drums... Feel free to vent. It makes us all feel a little less alone in our struggles. *huggles*

We are actually having a cool spell right now. Its making it feel like fall. Now when I go out in the morning to go to work I hear all the crickets chirping. Their all saying its near fall to me. On the other hand that means its faire time! Yippee!

Wow, it was actually cool outside early this morning! Had lots of running to do today, so to me, the coolness didn't last quite long enough, but I do take it as a sign of better times to come.
Check out the chibi Lola found for me. I think he's just adorable and just had to share him:

Is recycling a big deal in the area you live?
I know we have always been a bit behind on the times and trends down here, but I am appalled to read that they are closing down recycling centers!!!
I was under the assumption that recycling is not only encouraged, but even mandatory in some places.

I wish recycling was bigger here, but it isn't. We had one in flint but it burned down. I don't think they ever rebuilt it. I do recycle a lot of electronic things over at Best Buy. Plus, I try to find places to take some of the other stuff, but its hard around here.
