As for what's going on, the vampires are evil and the rest of the races are banning together to squash them blood suckers. ^^ That's about it, really.

My sister got her ears pierced once...my mom, my aunt, and me went through HELL to get her to do it and after all that work, the earrings got sucked into her ears and we had to go to the doctor's to get them removed.
