Circling back behind her prey, the wolf pauses. For a moment she is still, muscles tensing and the irritating scent she follows washing over her nose. Coiled and waiting, she springs forward in an instant, propelling toward her prey in lithe, powerful strides.
Craving the thrill of a chase, however shortlived it would be, she makes no effort to conceal the sound of her paw-strides as she closes in, but it makes little difference. In the space of time it would take most beings to react, the smoke grey wolf has emerged from the night like shadow come alive. One final leap, and her massive form would collide with that of the girl, paws slamming the back of the thin shoulders like bricks, pinning prey to the ground to await the final, tearing crush of her jaws.

Keo sighs softly in her sleep, her eyes open and she turns her head to look at Tet. She gazes long and slow at him, still disoriented and unsure of her surroundings and companions - then curls into Spike's cloak and looks up at the moon. Golden eyes glow eerily in the half-dark - disks of molten light. They sharpen and focus as she stares; then, suddenly tired of being awake, she curls her head under Spike's arm and closes her eyes, trying to fall back into sleep again.

The apple in Manikarnik's hand goes flying as something hits her back, breath slamming out of her lungs as she hits the ground. She opens her mouth to gasp for air - and a wail escapes her, a deafening sound like a banshee cry that echoes all over the island.

Amairgin Bathed in the pearly white glow, he smiled slightly. "The darkness is safety, Spike." Spike smirks. "I have nothing to fear, nor be procted from. But I can relate to your words. However, Keo here might like the moonlight on her, so I shall not deny her that pleasure." He pulls Keo closer into a hug, then looks over to Tet. "Everything good in your new home?" He then quickly looks over to where the scream emenated from and speaks in a low tone. "Draco. Wake up and help out Mani. She has a new friend who wants to play."

Turning and running for the sound, he drew his knife from his boot. The sound was hard to locate in the fog, but he was used to it. The fog made him feel safe, even with his enemy.

Draco wakes up quickly and rises to his feet. He almost instantly discerns where Mani and the other creature are and leaps into the air, firing a single chain into the ground beside them and pulling himself down fast. Upon landing, he quickly snaps his other arm at the newcomer, the chain encircles the area around the girls almost completely, creating a dome, each path of links holding no more than an inch and a half gap between them. The chain places itself in the path of the stranger's jaws, and arcs up over her head, the sharp shuriken tip staring down at her.
Draco stares sternly through the gaps in the chain dome at the left side of the newcomer.
"Hey. There will be no killing here. This island is a peaceful place and it's inhabitants shall not allow anyone to spill blood over it."

Surrounded by the dome of chains, he moved warily to the side of the wolf opposite of Draco.

Though he's still sitting with Keo, his voice sounds to be right there with the group helping Mani.
"I don't think this bleeding on the grass issue is required right now, boys. Draco, stay focused on keeping Mani safe."
