I'm thinking I may have to do a brief recap on what Akane had done previously seeing as it was sooo long ago (probably something like 3 days in the game)
Ran away from home to have an adventure (thinking her parents wouldn't let her go)
Picked up a Pokedex at Prof Oaks (the good prof letting the 'rents know where the kid is unbeknownst to the girl)
Her Clefairy had an attic adventure
Battle with a jerkof a boy in Pewter City
Decided to catch another Pokemon before trying to beat Brock
Scary disturbing dreams
Lost in Viridian Forest after catching an Oddish
That about sums it up
