hi serend! Its cause they want to f you over, ticket prices 10 bucks popcorn another 10, drink? whats that 8? for a small? lol Oh you wanted candy? Thatll be 6 bucks each for tiny stuff.
You may as well bend over and just take it up the butt from the movie industry lol.
Then they complain no one is going to the movies cause of illegal downloading

It's 2000 yen ($20+) for a ticket to see an American movie in Japan. 1500 ($15+) if you are a student. I don't remember how much popcorn cost, but I think it was around $12.
