"Well, I have to admit, he is cute. Big eyes, bit ears...almost looks like an elven cat really." Though Kieran knew he wasn't one, elven cats had a distinct look to them after all. A light chuckle at the creature. "Then, it's nice to meet you as well, little Morelle." And of course Morelle was going to get a sketch in the next journal got his blue tipped fingers on.
"And you know you would indulge him father, it's what you do." A laugh from Kieran at the comment, indeed he probably would. But her attention turned to Rand and half of her hoped that her mood and mannerisms weren't that apaprent, though she knew they were. Like never letting go of her collar for instance. "Good to know he listened then, I refuse to take yanked feathers." Though it was endearing that he had been saving them, almost like he was waiting for her to visit. Pity she thought she may never, but who knew. "So things are well with him then?"

Morelle barked at Kieran. What? Not even a morsle? Come on. He's a cute, cuddly little foxsquirrel. Gotta love me! He chittered again.
Rand laughed. "He likes anybody that's a potential target. I dobn't usually give in to him too often. I can't use a fat, lazy foxsquirrel"
Rand was really enjoying this. Despite the odd atmposhere that spoke of harsh times in the recent past, she tried to keep herself happy looking, keep tihngs from going sour. "He keeps his promisses. And yes, he's doing very well. At elast he was before Moonstone and Onyx left. That hit a hard blow on him. He lost a bit of wheith, fur lost a bit of shine. The both of us have been so rantic with worry, we have trouble finding time to eat, or even remeber to. But now that Morelle has told us the twins are safe, we've been better."

Kieran shook his head and reached over to the bowl of fruit on the table, grabbing a bunch of grapes, pulling one off and holding it out to Morelle. Indeed he would indulge the little thing. Hey, him coming closer meant that he got a closer look at the acclaimed foxsquirrel. "Don't worry Lady Rand, I won't let him get all fat and lazy...I do have my limits despite the seemingly lack of them."
"A Vah's promise is a treasure indeed as I've heard. But it's good to know that since you and him have found out the twins are fine, that you're both doing better. I'm sure it's hard on a parent." Her father probably knew it all to well too. Then another little smiel to Rand. "Don't worry about them here, I've taken pretty good care of them thus far. Home, shelter, ego boosts, babysitting. I think they'll be just fine."

Morelle took a few steps, sniffed at the grape, and snarfed it down. Taking this as a n offering of friendship, Morelle sat hismelf down on Kieran's shoulder, chatting about god knws what.
"I have no idea what he's talking about when he does that. But it emans he likes you, at least." She chuckled. "it is very hard, the rest f the manor had given up long ago, they've all thought we were holding on to lost hopes. Only Nelphean remained optimistic." She sighed. "It was a very difficult two years." Rand reached out, took an apple to snack on. "They have decided to stay, and now that I know where they are and that they are safe, I am sure you'll continue to look after then. Sometihng i very much appreciate."

Another chuckle from Kirean as Morelle ran up his arm and plunked down on his shoulder, taking to chittering. Of course Kieran tilted his head away the slightest bit...after all, he had chains connecting earrings and it wouldn't be pleasant if the little creature got caught up, painful for both of them. "I'm sure he's just babbling about happy things...or food." And another grape was held up for the creature.
A blink at her. That didn't sound like the others there...then again what did she knoew, she was reather isolated to Rand and Cymarron really in her time there before she took up residence with Malik. Too many elves in that one place for her opinion. "Well most were human, correct? Humans seem to be more sullen than others at times." Made sense to her. And another smile to Rand. "Hey, I'm getting married and I'm going to have kids in my own time...have to practice on someone for when they get into those rowdy rebellious age, right?"

The grape disappeared, and Morelle rubbed his forehead against Kieran's cheeck. "You've made a freind, Kieran. Now Morelle will do anything you ask of him." She laughed. "For him, it's that simple."
"Yes, lots were human. And most remained optimistic...but after tw eyars of search...well most move on. Most of the manor has excepted that the twins were either dead or long gone. I suppose it's just harder for parnets."
She smiled. "Oh, practice is good. Wish I'd at elast had a little experiance with children before Moona nd Onyx. The only child I had ever held before was Ecara, and she was little."

Another one of those smiles of his, hand reaching back empty this time to scratch as Morelle's long ears as he was being nuzzled. "Indeed, quite simple. But not something I'd take advantage of in the least." After all, one shouldn't take such a thing as lightly. He ate a grape himself before passing up another one to Morelle. Okay, so he was enjoying spoiling the thing. "So, Lady Rand, how long are you planning to stay on this visit?"
"Not to mention as I recall, not everyone there had the best life to a point. From their perspectives, it may have been the only option they saw because they thought they knew from experience." Or was she giving them too much credit? A slight shake of her head, a tightening of her hold at her collar slightly. "Sometimes though, without the practice comes utter wonderful surprise of something newly experienced...though by this point she had had handled several ages of children, like Bode.

"His agreement means much to me. He has stayed with me for so long, protecting me, our family." She smield as Morelle snarffed down another grape. Morelle always seemd to bring out joy in people. "I'm afraid I cannot stay much longer, a fair bit of time passes at home while little passes here. I have already been gone a very long time, Cymarron will be worried about me now."
She sighed. "Ah well, not many in the manor have not suffered greatly in some way. it's what attracts us there." She shrugged. "For me, parneting was sometihng very, very different." She smiled. "Sometihng I enver thought I'd have. I've always counted myself very lucky."

That made Kieran think...what was the time flow on his own home plane? Did it coinside with this one, or was it something of the sorts of where Rand was from, and thus he'd been gone quite some time now. Kieran thought of then writing to Fianna...perhaps he could gain some knowledge of time from that. Besides, he hadn't written her in a while...in fact how long had it been since he saw the woman? "Quite the point you have there, Lady Rand...I feel I best do some investigation into my own time differences, least I have a worried elf on my hands."
"Lucky is better than nothing, right?" Another smile as she contemplated. "I've always though children grow up to fast...of course you're talking to an elf and we all know how we age slowly. The world is sometimes a blur around us, moving too fast at some points." Indeed, it was odd being an elf when you weren't surrounded by your own species. A look to Kieran at his mentionings. Hm...wait, how long had he been gone?

Rand nodded. Time is rather a shakey tihng whn traveling to other planes, isn't it? Makes you wonder about the whole time being non-existant theory." She waved a hand. "I'm not that great with sceinses of that type." "Lucky is very good." She smiled. "I think we've both gotten large amounts of it lately." SHe was refering to the atmpsphere of course. SHe held out her arm to Morelle, and the little yellow creature gave Kieran a little forehad rub goodbye, and switched riders.
"But I am afraid I have been gone too long, and I must be returing home." She smiled. "It's been wonderful to see you gain Piper, Malik, and a delight to meet you, Kieran, Blue."

"But of coures Lady Rand, no need to keep you here for more than is needed. Dont' want to upset those at home, am I right?" A final pat and grape to Morelle before he had popped over to Rand. Kieran smiled and nodded his head to her. "Safe paths and fair winds to you, Lady Rand." Elvish goodbyes were so lovely, weren't they?"
Piper gave a little nod and a smile as well to Rand. "It was wonderful to see you again as well. Give Cymarron my own greeting and remember, don't worry about your children. As long as they're here, they can always find a stable place here. Goodbye old friend. And you Morelle, stay out of trouble."

"Quite right, Keiran my freind. God speed." She nodded with a smile to Piper. "Thank you, Cymarron will be glad to hea of you." Morelle shittered his farewell. He'd be back on due time. She said goodbey to her children, huging them tightly and wishing them to both behave and be well. Then a shadow like raven rose from Rand's shoulders, pulled her and Morelle though her own void in a quick show of magic. And she was gone to her home plan, so speak to her amte of the good news.

Onyx sat in the room he and Moon shared, watching him for a bit of time. gauging his reaction to mother coming to visit.
"you know if mom can, dad will find a way to as well."
A small grin.
"Adn we do need to get you laid. you way to uptight and moody lately. you need to relax, cut loose some. we'll take you to Lostagrace and get you in a nice barfight that'll lossen you up."
Malik for a moment had that old powerhungry look watching Rand planes cross. but then it was the same old self.
"Well lets get these fifty uncollared. have them meet Broog in the arena. I need to check in on our two special guests as well. Broog has been on...him...since his arrival. He took it very personal that someone woudl do that to you, Piper."
So he went downstairs, walking to the breaker rooms and stepping into the one Terran was in..and noting the bloody mass on the floor that at one time might have looked elven. eyes somepletely lost to anythign but pain anymore.
"Heal him the one last time. he's got nothing left to take. after that we'll send him to teh necromancers for study."
Then the next room over.
"Ah Kaden. It's nice to see your still with us. Amazing how apathy makes you last so much longer, isn't it?"
And a hand on Broog.
"Stop now. Piper wants fifty slaves freed of thier collars, they'll meet you in the arena. she wants to try an experiment about being able to control them without a collar, and she said she had somethign special in mind for you since she knows you love those collars."
Broog pouted, and his lip quivered, but then he perked up at the idea of a special request from Piper, and literally skipped out of the breaker room, to get his chest of shinys and go to teh arena. Malik turned his attention back to Kaden.
"I have something new for you. Skinnign you alive just isn't as thrilling anymore. you don't scream as much. So, I had something special constructed for you. You see, on my home plane, there's a god called Cazic Thule. he's the lord of terror. the god of fear. he has two children, Morelle, and Terris. Morelle si the god of dreams. Terris, the godess of nightmares."
A nod to the necromancer, who left teh room, coming back several minutes later with two small obxes and to pedastels and a dead body. the body was placed ont eh wall across from Kaden, and nailed there. the cube place in between at a thrid of the way from each. the necromancer spoke a few words, and the tops opened, two portals coming forth. one in oragnes and yellows, the other in purple and blue.
"We've been experimenting with contacting the planes of those gods I am familir with. you're going to be our experiment. we're going to rip your soul out of that body..send it through both portals so you get to really experience fear and nightmares..adn into the other. back and forth. if nothign happens, that's alright. we work on it. if it does work...then well enjoy."
And Malik left teh room, and the necromancer started his work again..and heading back up to Piper and her father and blue.

Moonstone, who had been quite excieted and almost back to his nromal self, had fallen back after his mother had left. Perhaps Father comming really wouldn't be that bad. "He may come, but Mother might force him to stay back. Now that they know we are all right."
Damn his brother, damn his blush. I...I don't need a woman, Onyx. Is that your solution to everytihng? And no fights, absolutly none. I dont' ant to lose control again..." no, that was a lie. He DID want it to happen again, the feel those strng emotions again...

"Are you alrgiht?" Tenatively asked in the silence that was left in the room really.
"I...don't know..." A look at the table, fingers tracing over the designing in her collar. "I think I am one moment and then the very next I just...want to hide away." She swallowed at the tightness in her throat...lord no, she wasn't going to cry, why cry anyway, right? "I just...can't let it go..."
He sighed, pushing himself from his chair and walked over to his daughter, placing a hand on top of the one that rested on the table, pulling her up out of her chiar. "Ever ask yourself why you can't let it go? Maybe because you're keeping it all on your own shoulders."
"Don't do that...don't think that me telling you all what happened or just screaming it all out is going to make me feel better...you don't know that." Yes, she was being defiant against him. She didn't want them to know what Kaden talked of, or called her, or did, or anything. And she pulled away from him, grabbing that list off the table and a passing slave, giving off orders for distraction for the time being.
He only sighed, clasping his hands behind his back lightly. A look to Blue still on the table. "Would you like join us in this little endeavour, or would you prefer to rest?"
