Caleidah Inquisitor Brock When do you guys think that CSM will get a new codex? I've been liking the sound of Blood for the Blood God more and more.
Heh...hahahaha
Sorry. They just got a new codex not but a year and a half back, if not more recently. However, the rumor has been flying around that there might be "Legions" codices that give special rules to the old legions of note. World Eaters, Thousand Sons, Emperor's Children, Death Guard, Iron Warriors, Word Bearers, Alpha Legion, etc.I think my second army when the time comes might be a CSM leaning towards Khorne.

Pics please? A friend of mine used part of a Defiler claw in building up a sword for his daemon prince.

Well, next time you get out to the gamestore and take him with, see if you can get someone else to get a shot. I'm curious as to how this looks.

Alright, will do. c: Though, again, I still have to finish his makeshift shoulder pad, which is made out of some pieces from the chaos vehicle sprue. You know, the arched spiky bits. 8D
He's a bit tough to carry around with my two small cases, though, as his custom base that I'm still working on makes him an inch taller. I need the tank case... DX Or just a small plastic bin for him that I can stuff with foam.

Going with the plastic bin plan will not only save you money off of buying a model cans but you'll be able to custom fit your foam in around the model to give him proper protection.

Ya seriously, some plastic boxes and toilet paper is a good way to pack stuff, some even use the unit/regimental boxes that they have left from buying a certain unit, pack the vehicle in toiletpaper and then throw it into a sportbag (I do it myself).

I would definitely, with my experiences, suggest in getting some Berzerkers. They are unbelievably amazing when you can get them to charge first, and it gives you more options against any other player. Even Pariahs with Warscythes will just die if you swamp them with Berzerkers. And then, of course, you can back those up with some Thousand Sons. The great thing with Chaos is the huge amount of powerful troop types that work extremely well together, so keep that in mind. Oh, and you'd be surprised how helpful Lesser Daemons can be. Give all your captains a personal icon and you have every possible option when you summon those Daemons. Just my two cents, and a tip to add: Land Raider. Get a Land Raider to cover your Defiler. If you use it as bate to let your troop killing monster that is a Defiler, it will do wonders.

2 Plague Marine units with melta and 2 princes with lashes, and fefilers...
Too nasty maybe? XD
What you should ask yourself first is: How do I want to play?
Themed army?
All around?
BS army?
Shooty army?
Combat army?
Etc etc, but I'd buy the codex first and peek through it and see what it has to offer first, or ask at my local game store.

As nasty as Wing/Lash Daemon Princes are, I've found that Wing/Warptime Daemon Princes are damned deadly, especially with the Mark of Nurgle. That way you can pretty much guarantee that they're going to kill at least four enemies dead in every single turn that they're in CC.
