Daren hadn't known Tim had never seen Silent Hill before and regreted showing it to him almost as soon as the movie started. he'd tried to turn it off, but Tim hadn't let him, insisting he was ok. "that was a rough one, wasn't it?" Daren asked, putting Supernatural on. it was scary but not badly so and he thought it would be a good alternative. "it's ok, you can share my bed tonight. we'll just put pillows between us and sleep on different levels, ok?" he pulled Tim against his side and stroked his hair, "good thing it's the weekend and you don't have to work tomorrow, right?"

"why do you watch scary movies if they effect you this badly? even if it is just once a year, still..." he shook his head and kept stroking Tim's hair. "it's ok, you know. it's fake, none of it is real. besides, i'm here. i'll protect you from anything that might go bump in the night." he smiled knowing that he wasn't in his top form, but he still could take on pretty much anything or anyone that came after them. "you're safe, Tim, no one is going to hurt you." he silently mocked himself for saying so. they both knew perfectly well that Tim was no more safe with him than anywhere else. he could defend tim from other people but who would defend tim from him? "it'll be ok." so long as Tim felt better, he would tell him whatever lies were needed, no matter how much he hated himself for it.

Daren nodded and watched a couple episodes of Supernatural with Tim before he noticed it was nearly time for the sun to come up. "we should go to bed," he said with a yawn, stretching a little, "it's going to be light soon. will make sleeping easier, though, at least if you are scared." he smiled at Tim and turned off the tv. "come on, let's set up the bed so it's safe for you to sleep with me." he head to his room and took off the covers. he folded them in half and lay them on one side of the bed before getting more blankets and doing the same for the other side. he put a line of pillows between the two sets of blankets for good measure before heading to his bathroom, "taking a quick shower, don't wait up for me."

Daren smiled when he saw Tim out cold on the bed. he was showered and changed, wearing the full pajama set he got for Christmas last year and had never worn. he made sure Tim was covered before slipping into bed and going to sleep. he woke a few hours later, wide awake and unable to sleep anymore. not wanting to wake Tim, he slipped out of bed and decided to make them some stew to eat once Tim woke up. he had everything he needed except for some onions and meat, so he left Tim a note in case he woke, and ran to the store.

he picked up a few other things as well, a loaf of bread, some cheese, drinks, random things he thought would go well with their stew. he didn't notice the tired Doctor stopping by to do some shopping before going home after his shift, but the Doctor noticed him. he checked out and went back home, finishing the preparations for the stew and setting it to simmer until his house guest got up.

Daren heard padding feet and smiled as he looked up, "hey, good morning." Tim leaned against him and Daren had to shake his head, "good smelling, stew's on the stove. it's just about ready." he had been cutting the french bread to go with it, "come on, off you get. can't finish with you leaning on me." he guided Tim to the table and sat him down before bringing over a plate of cut bread, a salad and plates and then the pan of stew along with two bowls and spoons. he placed it all down on the table and serving Tim some stew before giving himself some as well. "eat up, it should be good."

Daren laughed, "need some coffee? don't drink it, myself, but i think there might be some in my cupboards," from when Iroh used to crash at his place after a long shift. "you sleep much longer, though, and you won't sleep at all tonight. can't have you reversing your sleep schedule, can we?" he took small bites, taking his time to enjoy the stew. he'd done well, if he said so himself. "any plans for the weekend? you and Jason celebrating late or anything?"

Daren checked his watch. it was nearly noon, "don't know that you have enough time for a nap," he said, frowning a bit, "shouldn't you go home and change? you don't have any clothes here anymore, so that won't work. sorry, it's my fault we were up so late." he finished his stew and bread and started to clean up. "maybe you have time for a forty-five minute nap, if you want to rush the shower and changing at home." he didn't want Tim's relationship to suffer because of him.

Daren gave a little wave from where he was washing up in the kitchen, "drive safe!"

Jason was at his house, not sure what he should do. Daren was back, there was no mistaking him in the store. what he worried about was whether or not he should tell Tim. He knew Tim had feelings for Daren before he left, would his return cause a problem? not that he didn't trust his lover, he just worried for his mental health. maybe he should bring it up casually and see what Tim's reaction was.
