Blaine, knowing that he should probably expect a counter-attack, activated Mirror.
There was no physical signification that it had been activate other than a slight glow.
He heard the static of electricity from behind him, stopped, and turned, crossing his arms in front of him. He focused completely on reflecting the attack, focusing his energy on Mirror.

Blaine felt a strange tingle, and the electricity was bounced all around him. It flowed through whatever conducted it, which included the metal rail beside him.
Luckily, he wasn't touching it, but once it contacted the door, it blew the glass out of the metal frames.
Blaine had to dodge to the side to avoid being sliced up, so he was temporarily off the stairs. No one had yet entered.

Blaine scrambled to his feet and ran back up the stairs.

Z felt stupid once he heard the explosion. He had forgotten that electrcity was fairly useless without skilled direction or a conductor under his control. However he could only assume that the explosion of te door had at least incapacitated the guardian. Z carefully stood up, as too avoid crawling over glass, and grabbed the rail. He used the rail to guide himself toward the blasted door of the building. He hoped his blindness would wear off soon.

Blaine and Z made it to the door at the same time. Z's blindness wore off.

Z was surprised to see a boy slightly younger than he pushing him. This was a mistake. He activated his electric mysticker again and let it run through his arm and attempted to shock Blaine through the contact.

Blaine saw the man's hand going towards his own mysticker and focused intently on reflecting the electricity back at the man, or at least away.
He put a hand on Mirror as he focused.
