Alright, so maybe Alastair felt a little sorry for Effie; it wasn’t easy, having a highly independent pokémon as your first one… Still, he was fairly sure that the girl would give him the glarebeams if he so much as thought about giving her advice, especially in front of everyone. Maybe later, since they were riding in the same wagon. Well, sort of, actually, since Alastair had given up his place in the wagon to Kazuki. Ah well. There would be other opportunities.

“Snacks! Good idea! I think I still have some buns left over from breakfast…” that is, from the breakfast that he had mooched off of another wagon-mate. That was close enough. Pushing himself away from the trailer, he briefly brushed himself off before going back into Wagon One---he did pause to glare at the pink, as if hoping the friction of his glare would get rid of some of that pink, but it didn’t work---and searched through his bag for anything snackish. Murr… there were some berries. Might as well take those, because they were traditional hiking foods. And some dried meat, because Lum was almost certain to eat all of the berries anyway.

“You get really scared at that stuff and you want to go searching for ghosts anyway? That’s pretty… well… brave, I guess.” Actually, he had trouble deciding whether it was brave or stupid. The line between the two was so easily crossed.

Ridley took the berries, quirking an eyebrow at Liam and grinning wider. "Yeah, yeah, Liam. You always tease me. I'm gonna try to learn a bit more before it's put to the test tomorrow. Thanks for the berries," the Rocket turned and headed off to the Tauros. He offered it a berry and lured it back to the wagons again, mounting it again a little clumsily. Nudging it forward, he started to move with the Tauros, smiling at the Pokemon's contented grunts as it ate the berry. "You like that, huh, boy?" he cooed, stroking its fur and experimented with turning it, nudging it with one heel, then the other, and applying the gentlest of pressure to keep it at a slow walk.

"Ah! No no, I was only kidding! I wouldn't actually like to shave you!" she said quickly, apologizing to the Mareep that has quickly jumped away, "Your fluff is too pretty and soft to shave off!"

Riza coughed, "Oh dear....um...someone he's had his eye on? Like...a rival?"
She took a swing at guessing. Kai's Absol didn't really look like a skirt-chaser at any rate, so what else could it be?

"Me? No, I don't have any Pokemon yet. I was hoping to try and catch one on this trip," she smiled, "What better way to catch a Pokemon? This way I'll get to see a lot more types than if I had just stayed home and walked."

Best to leave her with Naruto for a bit so memories didn't spring up. Hellfire wandered away to see if she could find a friend that Sam had made, though it wasn't likely since Sam was anti-social. Even that little meeting last night had taken a lot out of her, but Hellfire was happy that she tried. Catching a very familiar scent, she made her way towards it.

Sitting on the ground beside Naruto, Sammy tried her hardest to not cry. This was hard, being around so many people and it scared her that so many pokemon were running around. Sure, she had her own but...

Whimpering and nuzzling his trainer-friend's cheek, Naruto was at quite a loss as to what to do. He'd never seen Sam like this before, and it scared the hunger out of him.

User ImageKayla turned around to lay her hand on Hea who was the opposite of that Girafarig and she hope that Hea stays the way she is. Kayla hopes that Effie would be able to calm her new pokemon to accept humans and learn to live peacefully.

After being sidetracked a bit, Kayla started to see if she could work this saddle deal out. "Hey Hea." Hea was currently tree grazing again and glance at Kayla. "Brrring?"

"Would you mind if I try to put a makeshift saddle on ya?" Hea tilted her head in confusion. "I mean, so I can sit on you comfortably. That way I don't rub off your coat or cause a rash or something." Kayla was getting nervous, afraid that Hea would deny her.

But she was forunate that Hea was very easy going and nodded. "Brrring." Kayla suddenly warped her arms around Hea's neck. "Thank you so much!" Letting go, Kayla calmed down and explain to Hea how she was planning to do this.

"......"

Liam shook his head, seating himself against the trunk of one of the trees, content to just watch Ridley have fun. Idly he picked at the pouches attached to his upper arm, flicking one open and dipping his fingers inside. Taking out one of the safari balls, he began rolling the small, marble sized ball between his fingers, thinking about many different things at once.

User Image"There. I think that should do it." Kayla tightened the leather rope bit before but not so much to hinder Hea from breathing or whatnot.

The 'saddle' was at the base of Hea's neck. There was a blanket folded into a few layers as a cushion. There were ropes warped around neck and chest, criscrossing each other to keep the blanket from shifting. It is not flashy but it would do.

Kayla backed up a bit to look at her handie work. Nodded in satisfation, she undo all of the ropes and made sure she remembered exactly where the ropes were suppose to go so that she don't have to experiement everytime. Then, when they arrive to the next city, she plans to purchase a portable, lightweight saddle to use for all pokemon.

“Weelll~ atleast we have rolls? Though some meat could help.” Rubbing her chin golden eyes look up towards the sky as Effie tries to think. “Rolls could either go good with soup, or even cut to make sandwiches? Which would you prefer?” She asked both of them, “Lets see. Soup can take awhile to make…plus it might get cold by the time we decide to eat it. So a sandwich would be better huh?” Even though it was only three days into the ‘exertion’ she already hated those darn things. “What, no ideas on how to lure them ghost types?” Effie asked with a smirk at the guy, it helped to try to be playful…help loosen the mood. Even if she was the only one tense.
Effie wasn’t quite sure who Alastair was trying to compliment. Useless he was talking to himself, but that was highly unlikely. The only other option was Lamen, but she liked ghost types. Pressing her mouth into a line, a frown tugged at the corners of her lips. “Well, yeah I guess. I’m just going for Lamen, I wasn’t able to spent time with her the entire day yesterday. So we’re goona do it now~!” She declared with a finger pointed in the air. “Because Effie always keeps her promises.” With a nod of her head the girl folded her arms. “Who knows…tomorrow might just be Effie and Alastair day~” She smiled to herself, “And I promise that there shall be one, even if it isn’t tomorrow.”

"The trip? It's been fine so far. But everyday, we get attacked by a group of Pokemon. I almost lost Era on the first day!"

Speaking of which, where was that Swablu? She remembered that Zen didn't know who Era was yet, but as soon as she found her, they'll be able to be introduced properly.

"Have you met her yet? Or Angel? She's my sister. She caught a Pidgeotto a couple days ago." Piney glanced around, trying to spot either one of the beings. She saw some floating paper scraps, though that didn't concern until...

"ERA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" She thought that the bird Pokemon had torn up the notebook, and rushed towards her without noticing Aero nearby.

Daybreak took some more steps closer now that Piney was occupied. "*A bit. Once we're out of here, I should be fine.*"

Emerging from Wagon One, Alastair gave Effie a mock bow. “I’m so sorry, my lady, if my expertise in all things pokémon fails to reach methods of catching ghost types.” Not that he, for one second, thought he knew everything… he just used what he did know so extensively that it often seemed like that. “I just figured that a bunch of young folk out in the forest would instantly lure ghosts out. Isn’t that how it works in the stories? Admittedly, it tends to work better if it’s just one girl all alone, but that wouldn’t do us any good. Besides, I want some fun too.” Hopping down from the wagon awkwardly, he extended a couple of rolls towards Effie.

“Sandwiches would be just fine with me. It’s not like we’re gonna spend all night there and, like you said, soup would take too long…” he paused to consider her promise---or threat---of a just Effie and Alastair day. “Is that a threat or a promise?”

Hmm… ways to lure out ghost types… well, lone trainers should do the trick. That’s what ghost stories always said. Ghosts always appeared to single young women. But, clearly, the stories weren’t completely true. If the women of the stories truly were alone, then no one would be able to carry the tale, right? Right!

User Image Bug sat against the wagon with an empty food pouch in her hand. She wasn't in the mood to search for natural ingredients around the campsite to put something together, so she decided to put it in the back of her mind. It wasn't hard considering the fact that she was still intimidated and frightened with the whole fact that she still had no idea where she was.

She gazed up at the darkening sky, imagining something swooping in and devouring everything in its path. Shuddering at the thought, she quickly forced her mind to think of happy thoughts, like rainbows and butterfrees.

Aero looked up with a shed of paper stuck on his beak. He had tried to get it off, but gave up and nibbled on the grapes instead. The grapes made him feel giddy. In his grape-induced high, he saw Piney rushing towards Era. "Oi! What are you doing! Leave my bird-buddy alone!" He flew at Piney and showered her with paper bits.

"Oh my." Zen blinked, watching the officer rushing towards her Swablu. Zen stood up absentmindedly to help, and turned to Amrageddon and Daybreak. He gave a sad smile, and nodded, telling them he would keep the officer occupied any way he could.

"Well now, what's this?" He quirked an eyebrow at the scene. A Swablu and Pidgeotto, shreds of paper, and stale crackers.

"Seems that they're hungry, that's all." He stated blankly, blinking. A growl escaped his stomach, and Zen;s cheeks flushed red.

"I suppose I am to..heh." He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

Armageddon nodded back at his trainer, and padded closer to Daybreak, so that they were nose to nose.

*"I'm sure we'll get out of here in as soon as possible. And if any ghost comes near you, I'll be sure to protect you."* He grinned in a goofy manner.

One hour later, Ridley was in pain. The Tauros hardly even looked tired, and munched on the berry he'd given it as thanks for letting him practice riding. He walked, bow-legged, over to where Liam sat and tried very hard not to moan when he sat down, rubbing his sore legs.

"They warned me... I can't imagine doing that all day..."

Whatever the Pidgeotto said was just a bunch of squawks and chirps to Piney. She batted the paper shreds out of the way as she recalled Era back into her Pokeball, so more trouble wouldn't be cause. At least she hoped so anyway.

"Ok, but they shouldn't be stealing food from the wagons! I can understand why Aero did it, since he was wild just a few days ago, but I had Era for a couple months and she should know better!"

Then again, she didn't exactly capture and train the Swablu the normal way. She still was a bit feral, but that only manifested as timidness before the trip. Piney wondered if being away from civilization would cause her to run away and become wild again. She didn't want to think about it.

"You could probably get some food yourself though, as long as you don't take a lot." She shrugged and turned to Aero. "And as for you! Where is Angel? Did you cover her in paper shredding too?"

"*Of course you will.*" Daybreak relaxed and curled her tail around Armageddon. Glancing for a moment towards the commotion between the trainers and Pokemon, she let out a sigh.

"*Do you know how Koori's doing? I haven't seen her in a while.*"
