Ryland blinked and tilted his head to the side. Ah yes, he almost forgot... Naruto had a temper, and with a temper came a short line of patience, but that would always change if it was a child you thought of as your own flesh and blood, or if it really was your own flesh and blood. Everything changes.
"You'll be a good father some day, Naruto, and I'm sure it will be different when it's your own child. Weird spirit things and orbs? They sound cute." Ryland thought for a few moments before he became very feminine with his adorable smile and his suddenly very perky attitude as he simply stated, "I want one."
Ryland truely was a simple creature when you got to his bottom line, which was children and animals. He had raised a bear cub when he was living in the tribe because it's mother died and he simply wanted one. Ryland's determination and stubborn attitude came in quite handy with his simple wants.

Naruto couldn't help but laugh at the sudden decision. "You want one huh? Well.. They're really rare nowadays.. They're hard to come across. No one really knows where they came from.. and i suppose most've them have already "hatched" or whatever it is they do. You'll be very lucky to find an orb." He explianed, though smiled at the other's smile.
It was kinda.. cute, even if he didn't wanna admit it. It was just the way he was so girly...

A sudden, rather adorable, pout crossed over his lips and his bottom lip poked out slightly as his brows scrunched together. Sighing as he sat up and took down his hair, putting it back up to fix the messy bun it was in, making it even messier in the process, he let out a heavy sigh before he got feminine and perky again.
"Do you think Alice would know anything about where to get one? Maybe someone around here found one they don't want," Ryland's ears perked and his tail swished before he frowned and shook his head. "Ah, what am I talking about. If they're rare they're going to want it. I guess I just love children too much that I get too excited at the mention of them."

Naruto laughed softly. "They maybe rare.. but it is like a child. A lot of people here don't need or want that sort've responsibilty, and if they had one, would likely try and give it away to someone." He said, in a way trying to reasure him. "I mean.. The orbs may be pretty, but they wont last forever, so it's like a time bomb to them."
He thought on this. "I know.. Maybe they'll have something in the west wing. They're almost like the most dodgy people up that end, there's likely something like a black market who'll know where we can get ahold of an orb." though, it likely wouldn't come cheap for the information.

"No, no... I don't want to cause any problems while I'm here, and I definately don't want to be a burden... of any sort." Ryland smiled softly and looked down towards the ground, only because he knew he really did want one. A kid was just what he needed, it would keep him from thinking about how badly he wanted a mate... It would give him something to focus on, and to love.
"Only if it's something you really want to do, Naruto. I don't want you to do anything you don't feel like doing. You know this place best. I can live without one, it's not like I'll die if I don't get one, so no worries if you think it's too... I can't find the word, but you know what I mean?"

"Troublesome?" He asked, filling in the sentance. "I'd be more than happy to help you find an orb. Besides.. You wont get one unless you try huh?" He smiled softly.
He really did want Ryland to be happy, and he could tell he really did want a child. And that was likely the best he could do other than.. impregnate him or something.. which was totally out've the question. Though, Naruto didn't know about Male impregnation in the anthro world yet, even if he was willing.
"It's not that bad to go.. They're not that bad if you're carefull really, jsut don't pick fights and you'll live really. Unless that "King" of theirs decides to show up." He grumbled, remembering the almighty king of the "Westies" very well. And he would rather avoid him when he was with Ryland, incase he decided to get the cat involved. But the chances of meeting him tomorrow was pretty slim anyway.
"We'll go tomorrow morning, before you leave for home again."

Ryland nodded and sprawled out on the bed, really having little to no need for covers. He never used them before, and while it may be cold to Naruto, it was rather warm to him. Smiling softly, he laid his head against the pillow, putting his arms beneath it.
"Thank you, Naruto. You know, you're a real sweetheart. A big ol' softy," Ryland teased with a giggle as he closed his eyes and began purring, his tail wrapping around his legs to keep them warm, just in case it got colder during the night rather than hotter.
"Tomorrow is going to be a good day... I can already feel it. You really are the greatest ever, Naruto..." He said softly, groggily, as his eyes opened before his eyelids began to get heavy and slip down until they were shut and the cat was easily sleeping.

Naruto smiled softly as the other fell asleep, the words repeating in his mind slightly. They were nice words, even if they were teasing and he layed down on his bed, pulling the covers over him.
"Not as great as I want to be.. though." He replied, more to himself as he settled down to sleep, wrapping his tails around himself under the blanket for extra warmth.

Ryland woke with a start, sitting up, breathing heavily. Covers twisted around his body, he blinked and frowned, knowing he fell asleep with the covers off of him. Must have been another nightmare... either about Alefric or Murray, as usual. Those two haunted him even when they weren't around to torture him. Stupid boys. Yawning lightly, he stretched and pushed the covers away.
Standing up, he fixed the bed just the way it was before and then proceeded to pick up the garbage and throw it into the bucket. Not because it bothered him that it was messy - but because he wasn't sure if Naruto was actually awake or not... and perferred not to wake him up.
Setting the bucket down after a majority of the trash was picked up, he stretched and purred when his back popped. Turning towards Naruto, he walked over and poked him lightly before going back over to the other bed, sitting on it cutely with his feet together, hands on his feet, in the 'butterfly' position... which was a good stretch for his legs.

Naruto mumbled under the covers at being poked, not wanting to be awoken just yet, butt had to give in as the poke was all taht was needed to break his dream.
Peering out from under the covers, he saw Ryland already awake and "perky". And that his room was somewhat tidier than when he had fallen asleep. He yawned and sat up, rubbing his eyes.
"Is this still a dream? You tidied my room for me Ry-chan..?" He asked groggily, stretching as he pulled his night-cap off his head, leaving his hair a bit of a mess, but still spikey.

"No, this isn't a dream... Sorry about tidying up your room, but when I woke up I had so much excitement bubbling that I had too much energy... Cleaning always calms me down a bit. I don't want to get my hopes too high, so I had to do something..."
Thinking for a moment, he smiled and his ears perked to show just how bubbly he was already, "I'm sorry I woke you up, I wasn't sure if you were still sleeping or not... I wish I wouldn't have poked you, I really dislike being the cause of waking someone up. I know I don't like to be woken up..."
Ryland gave a very apologetic look, but continued purring as his tail swished about behind him. He really didn't want to get his hopes up, but he was so excited just at the thought that they were already up pretty high. But, oddly enough, he felt rather confident today.

Naruto chuckled softly, pulling a half-eaten candy bar off his tail before getting dressed again, this time in a black t-shirt and jeans, deciding to look reasonably normal today, though he took his equipment belt just incase he needed it.
"It's alright.. I'd have to get up eventually. I should really wake up earlier anyway." He told him with a grin his tails flicking about to show his energy was already there. "Shall we go then?" He asked, putting his hands in his pockets temporarily.

Ryland continued to sit on the bed, blinking his eyes a few times before he took in a couple deep breaths, making an attempt to calm himself down. When he got excited, his nerves got jumpy, and he didn't want to be jumpy at every anthro he saw or every noise he heard. Finally he closed his eyes and then opened them a few moments later. Smiling as he slowly stood up, he looked around and then nodded firmly.
"Yes, I think I calmed myself down quite a bit... I'm ready to go out and see if there's an orb around here. If there isn't, I'll keep looking around other places. Like the shop and stuff, checking with other Anthros that I know."
Ryland nodded. Yep.. he was already determined. There he went, his stubborn attitude kicking in already. At least he didn't get all pissy and huffy when he got stubborn, he just got to where nobody could shake the idea from his head.

Naruto chuckled, and nodded also. "That's the spirit. I'm sure we'll find one anyway. These guys are known to find needles in haystacks jsut to try and impress the others." He said with a shake of his head and a laugh, before opening the door for Ryland.

Ryland giggled cutely and walked out the door putting his arms behind his back, interlocking his fingers together as he waited in the hall, turning to face the door and Naruto. A thin line curved slightly upward shaped his tender smile. It was rather obvious he was trying to contain his excitment, which was difficult for him considering he was not one to control his emotions well.
Okay, perhaps that was a bit of a fib. Ryland was very professional about controlling his emotions, but excitement over a possible orb that would grow? into a spirit child? That was just too much for him to control! After all, ever since he left the tribe he felt empty and sometimes he could hear the children laughing in his dreams - or maybe he was just going insane? Nah, that couldn't be it...
