Damrius just smiled, pacing back and forth, his eyes never leaving Maximos.

Place all the charges you want, Reaper. This boy took us in willingly when he cast the spell upon the Spirit Reaper Crystal. He knew what he was doing, he did it willingly. He failed to deliver us a soul, an in turn, we share a body with him. He managed to deliver the one we truly wanted, the one who caused all this pain and suffering he endures.

Damrius stopped, his regular sword coming up to point towards Maximos.

He locked us away. We were satisfied, never wanting to break out unless he was truly requiring it.

Damrius's left hand reached into his pocket, holding out another crystal.

YOU! You are the one who broke us free, entering a dead soul into this body without true permission! You are the cause of this boys lost mind. You destroyed him. You shall PAY!

As he said so, The crystal in his hand shot into the air.

There was another flash of blinding light, but this one consisting mostly of energy. The Spirits knew of the Reaper's eye, so they put full power into this move. The energy would sweep over the playing field, bright on both ends.

Then, there would be a sudden, loud screech from the air.

And Maximos would see a large, Black, Blue-white Crystal ThunderBird flying in the air.

The bird appeared to have a 2 foot crystal wing span, followed by another six feet in electrical energy. The body was about 2.5 feet, followed by another three feet in electrical energy. The beak seemd to be extra pointed. The wings seemed to be edged. The tail had a slit in it, where it looked like something slim could fit in.

The bird screeched again, the sound like two grinding crystals.

Maximos listened his gaze locked on the nest of spirits. He heard their every word, he weighed them, judged them.

It changed nothing. The dead soul would have burned itself out leaving a normal individual unconscious, and assisting a lost soul in passing on. If not for Damrius' previous violation of the Abel Act, he would have been fine.

Needless to say, in their current form, the spirits were a violation. And furthermore, despite their situation, willing or otherwise, a violation had been committed. And a price need be paid. It was true, an even likely that a group of spirits that had escaped Reaper notice for so very long knew of their eyes. The Reaper's eye could see many things, it had its limitations and flaws.

But Maximos, was no ordinary Reaper.

The glow in his right eye flickered and wavered, the white gave way to red to purple, to blue, a veritable kaleidescope of colors and hues. For a second, he almost seemed to waver, as if a horribly weight was being tossed onto him. And then it locked, a blast of white pouring from his right eye like a roaring flame whiplashing wildly side to side before being sucked in to the eye itself leaving nothing more than a pale glow.

Maximos could see many thing with this eye of his. At times too much, at times to little. At times he could see nothing at all. And at times...at rare times when his purpose dictates...he could see everything.

- The Perfect Eye -Perficio Oculus -
Requirements: Focus Necklace, Sun Spire Brand, Normal Sight, Soul Sight, Vision Sight, Magic Sight, Projectile Sight.

The Perfect Eye is the culmination of months, in training and study. With it, Maximos is able to push his magically enhanced right eye to its very limits, activating all of the above listed sights in unison. Once activated the eye is able to see, quite literally everything. Lies, truths, emotions, life, death, magic, spirit, time, and when eye contact is made, even the surface thoughts of an individual in question. For the duration of the abilities activation Maximos' right is forced to perceive out of attunement with the current time stream, allowing it to see everything that transpires precisely two seconds before it does in fact transpire.
The ramifications of such hubris are dear. While using the Perfect Eye, Maximos is unable to access any of his Manus abilities. Depending on the duration of the abilities usage Maximos' right eye will be blind for at least an hour, at most, until he can truly rest. The eye is made severely sensitive to light, usually requiring some sort of bandaging, or cover or else the shadow suffers nearly unbearable blinding pain. As it stands, the Perfect Eye can only be maintained for one full minute.

In his left eye, he saw the now...

Damrius's left hand reached into his pocket, holding out another crystal.

While in his right eye, he saw the future...

He could see it. The bird, its beat, its lengths and dimensions if was not careful his eye would lock on the bird and count feather, hairs, breaths, the amount of energy surges per second. But before it could truly be brought into being, he acted. His body a blur of black zipping across the pure white landscape. His right hand dragging behind him, his fingers splayed leaving trails of black in its wake. Lashes of a sickly black aura tasted the aura like tattered ebony ribbons, lashing over his fingers, forming the silhouette of what can only be described as a sickly claw. The aura tightened and hardened forging a warped metal gauntlet over his right hand. A stream of black slowly pouring down from the shadow that covered his right eye.

And he attacked.

Before the crystal soared into the air, before the bird was formed he attacked. His bare hand shooting forward with incredible strength toward the dead center of Damrius' chest. His fingers splayed out as if he intended to bury them in the boys chest.

This cursed arm of mine is burning black...

By the Time Maximos would see the bird form, two seconds ahead, the crystal would have already been in the air. Being as he saw attacked at that time, Damrius was fully able to jump back. Then it was followed by the brilliant flash of light, where Darmius was was already away from Maximos's arm.

He moved with speed and grace, landing on one foot, and then his other coming down, helping him leap into the air. He would be up by the time maximos would be able to get to him, mostly because he had used some more energy he drew in from the ThunderBird, which was causing electrons to go wild throughout the entire area, and the Spirits knew to draw that energy in.

His magnetic force was allowing him to move up and up, covering his entire body from the time he had run from Maximos's attack. He eventually soared up high enough to meet the ThunderBird, who was on his right side.

It's time. Die, REAPER!

Damrius let the energy go, only after diving off headfirst. The Thunderbird was by his side, speeding down just as he did, Diving. He was making a beeline for Maximos.

As Damrius was about 20 feet away, his bright his sword out in front of him, then back to his side.

18 feet.

The thunderbird was right beside Damrius when he brought his sword up horizontally, and connected it to the tail and the tips of both crystal wings. The energy surged out and around Damrius, his sword becoming a mix of a large, Crystaline Arch blade (totally made that one up!) And coming down towards Maximos.

14 feet.

The safest distance Damrius felt at. He let loose.

Maximos would feel gravity coming down on his body, and then feel something slam into hard enough that the snow around him became ice under the force.

he would then see Damrius's Sword coming down towards him, followed by he blade cutting into his flesh - But, not only his flesh. He would feel thousands of souls cutting into his own soul.

As the blade cut, BOTH of the opponents would be met with a large, heavy barrage of cuncussive and explosive and electrical damage. It was like someone had set off a nuke directly ontop of them. The explosion would do one of two things - Destroy both of them, completely, or burn the hell out of them, and have them keep up the fight with like, an arm. Or two.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 04, 2007 7:24 pm

Damrius forgot one thing.

He had leaped back into the air, he was free. Free of gravity, free of control.

- Boom -

A burst of snow exploded outwards behind Maximos. Damrius had neglected one detail, perhaps he forgot it, perhaps he never knew it was there. But at the start of this fight, as Damrius approached Maximos on a cliff...there were no footprints. Maximos did not walk, when he needed to...he flew.

Blasts of black ejected from beneath the Shadow's feet. Normally only a certain amount of force can be ejected from the boots lest the enchantments holding the force in control be damaged or destroyed. And if such a disruption did in fact occur, there would likely be something of a large explosion. Much like the one that just occurred. Puffs of snow blast in all directions tied with chaotic bursts of violet liquid, and one large explosive rush of speed as Maximos dashed through the air as a black bullet with on target.

...its hungry cry tells me...

Damrius had no where to go. The black metal coating Maximos arm was not only conductive, it fed off of magic and arcana a like, feasting on the supernatural like a starved beast. Maximos could see the light magnetic pulses he used to propel himself, and his arm would viciously drain them. But despite his speed and force he was too late to stop the ThunderBird from forming, or Damrius from reaching it. He did not have the control to steer his boots and dodge it, his choice was simple.

He had to go through it.

Thousands of souls...souls the unfiltered fuel of Maximos' cursed limb. It loved souls like nothing else, and it devoured them, dozen, the arm pulsing with a vile black with each soul it devoured. And what thousands were not devoured rushed into against and past Maximos, they were raw, barely formed but the burned and ached. His body was left mostly unharmed, but his spirit...his soul...it burned as if he was being electrocuted from the inside out.

Before Damrius could form a blade, or an explosion. He would be caught in mid air, with Maximos bearing down on him with impossible speeds, the Shadow's body still surging with the a thousand crazed souls, and countless volts of an unknown energy. All, aimed for the dead center of Damrius' chest.

Just before maximos was able to say the word "soul!!", Damrius let loose with the energy.

The thunderbird would come slamming into both of them, it's bladed crystal wings cutting into each one. Followed by that, the massive explosion. Damrius yelped when maximos had grabbed him, and he now cried out in pain as the blade of the crystal wing fed itself deeper into him. Maximos would most likely feel the same thing.

But, there was something different this time - Damrius's souls, the ones going through maximos, now formed into the crystal bird. All of them. Every last one Maximos couldn't eat.

The bird exploded, sending shards of crystal into both of them, going through them like a barrage of heavy machine gun bullets. It would tear them apart, splattering the snow witn red and black blood alike.

As there remains would crash into the ground, crystals would jut out from them, forcing them into even more multiple peices.

But, there was one thing both would be forced to remember.

Damrius, the real Damrius, seeing into Maximos's eyes.

Maximos, seeing Damrius coming back just in time to die.

The thunderbird would come slamming into both of them, it's bladed crystal wings cutting into each one. Followed by that, the massive explosion. Damrius yelped when Maximos had grabbed him.

The crystals stopped cold. Not as if disabled, but as if frozen in place, suspended in time.

...Thou Art Guilty!

It'd be the impact that hurts the most, a sickly swath of black follows the claw as it digs across the air slicing streaks of black in open space and bleeding ebony between its finger tips. Boom fills the air the moment of impact as five fingers dig into Damrius' flesh, sending out a black shockwave from the impact point. Agonizing streams of black rush through the vicious wound making visibly black veins crawl beneath the skin, burning like an unquenchable fire, as streaks of red pour from the open wound. At hit speed, with this ferocity, Maximos fist would not just impact Damrius...

User Image

Damrius would feel the touch of death, paralyzing the flow of life from the soul outwards. Paralyzing the boys control over his body.

Without mercy or a warning Maximos hand would plow through flesh and bone bursting out Damrius' back. In the Shadow's hand is what appears to be an orb of white, coated and tainted in black ooze and char. As the orb is forced from Damrius' back, what appear to be black strings fight to hold it in place, stretching from his body to the orb, fighting for life as they are one by one popped, singed, and charred by the black miasma of the hand itself. Once the final string falls, Maximos is left his arm coated in black ichor and blood holding a stained black orb in his hand with broken, burned and freyed soul strings hanging between his fingertips and down from his hand, reaching through the poor boy.

....No one can escape their Eternal End.

For Damrius it might seem like the end, his vision may drain, going hazy. He had awakened just in time to see his death. This was so true...and yet it couldnt be more false. Maximos promised from the start of this bought those souls would be judged...Damrius would not be killed. How could he fail so utterly?

He hadnt.

Maximos had Damrius' soul. A soul connected to thousands on thousands of fragments of other souls...fragments that were now extremely charged. But ever linked...and it was that link that Maximos called upon. One by one the crystals were broken free from their suspension and pulled backwards, dodging both men as they were each drawn to a single point. The dark sky was filled with the sight of thousands on thousands of lights pouring across it. It would seem as if the stars themselves were convening on the boy.

It was a shame only those two would be able to see it.

If the Damrius' soul earlier was a swirling puzzle of confusion, Maximos fist was now slamming those pieces back into place. A normal soul was a ball, a glowing orb, like a glass orb. Damrius' soul was an orb, surrounded by a layer of patchwork soul fragments slammed together in one powerful layer of shielding. While Maximos' soul was the first Twilight Soul, Damrius' would be the very first Oversoul.

Those spirits said they were content to stay dormant until they were needed, now they would...forever. If his emotions bubbled forth to the brim of his armor Damrius would have the choice of opening the shield and letting his beast free...but he would also be able to lock it again. Attacks against his soul, or spirit would have to go through a veritable minefield of other souls before they could reach him. For his spiritual prowess, Damrius would have a tank of a soul.

The Reaper pulled his hand back through the gaping hole he had made, as gravity brought them down to the ground. As Maximos feet landed on the ground his hand exited Damrius' chest leaving a gaping whole, with his new soul visible within it. His soul was so incredibly condensed it actually stopped physical light, making it visible to the naked eye. Straps of white flung out from the soul reattaching it to the body, and by adjusting the flow of life Maximos was able to close the wound. After a few seconds the boy would feel the first gasp of life in his lungs, and would likely behold the cross shaped scar in his chest.

It is not your time...

Maximos himself, while standing strong was clearly off. The glow in his eye was entirely gone. A stream of black rolled down where his right eye was and his hood seemed to be pulled a little tighter than normal. Swaths of black steamed off his right arm leaving only a beaten, broken and completely drained limb that continued to gush black onto the white snow beneath him.

Maximos smiled.

You...still have much to accomplish...

Rae literally tumbled out of nothingness, her moonlit skin shining in the darkness of the void, even under the slight covering of her purple fish net top and skin tight red velvet shorts. Her black and red striped hair almost looked disembodied as the black locks almost blended in with the dark nothingness of the void.

User Image

She slowly rolled onto her back, although it almost didn't make a difference as she couldn't see a sky or top to the area around her, and as she brushed her hair out of her face sh started cursing... every swear word he could think of in an attempt to get over the sudden shock of being... wherever the hell she was!

"Like, what the hell?" stare scream

"Will you keep it down?"

Said the man laying on his back, legs crossed, hands folded behind his head, and looking into the vast nothingness. It was strange to find himself back in the place after such a short time but he was getting rather used to it. His foot moved back and forth as he rested his leg on his knee and on any other ocasion it may've looked like the man was resting on a freakin meadow under a tree. That wasn't the case however and understanding this place he knew why the girl had come.

She, like him, was here to fight, there was no escape until one of them submitted, lost, or was killed. Whether the outcome was a non lethal one really depended on her for Reinhart knew the consequences of this place didn't spill into reality hence, he had no need to hold back if needed.

"Sure I will sweet heart." She purred with an oh so familiar voice, for she was the spitting image of Hono Raven in all ways. "If you tell me how the hell I get out of this place!"

She pulled herself to her feet, brushing off imaginary dust as she scowled at her surroundings. "I don't have all day you know!"
PostPosted: Mon Nov 05, 2007 2:54 am

Sure she looked like the Hono Reinhart was familiar with but she also didn't look like the Hono he was familiar with. If that makes any sense. Phisycally she was the spitting image yes, but there was something beyond physical Reinhart could see that didn't make this woman Hono. Now for the short explanation...

"We fight. Plain and simple."

Now Reinhart stood, he stretched his limbs for a moment then looked over to the woman who resembled Hono.

"When one loses this'll all be over and seeing as you don't have all day, I'd say we should get started."

o.0 "You have got to be freeking kidding me...." She shook her hair back behind her shoulders and kicked off her platform sandals so she didn't have to worry about breaking an ankle.

"Don't suppose I could just give up and you could win by default?" sweatdrop Now that was definitely something that Hono would have thought of.. Rae checked to make sure her sleeves were in place, and wondered if he had a hair tie she could borrow xp

Reinhart couldn't help but laugh lightly at the thought of someone just laying down and losing in order to get out of the Void. Sadly, he theorised it didn't work that way but it was too complicated to get into now. He worded his thoughts.

"I don't believe it works that way and believe me, nothing would satisfy me more than to bite into your exposed neck if it was so easy."

He grinned.

"Let's just 'dance'. You may even enjoy it."

And witht hat he winked at the fake Hono as he collected himself for the fight.

Bite into her neck.... Rae actually raised one hand as if to cover her neck before she stopped and simply rolled her eyes. Great, another perv, why do I have such rotten luck! xp

"I know how to dance, not so sure I have a clue about fighting though... so you lead and I will try to follow!" twisted She could have just swung at him, but that tended to lead to getting hit in return, and Rae was fairly sure that she liked the idea of dodging a lot better than being hit.
PostPosted: Mon Nov 05, 2007 3:27 am

Now he simply laughed outright. Yeah it was annoying picking up surfaces thoughts from time to time but then again there were times likes these.

"A pervert?"

He said between his bits of laughter.

"I assure I'm far from it."

As his laugh died down he extended his hand. A crimson aura smoked up from the ground beneath him and slowly outlined his form. From under the locks of hair that covered one side of his face his eye gleamed the color of his aura.

"Take my hand and I'll be sure to get it over with quick."

Rae honestly looked shocked that he had heard her thought.. after all, she still didn't really believe in all that mind powers mumbo jumbo. With wide eye she stepped into him, she didn't have any intention of taking his hand, unless it was to rake her sharp nails across his skin to see if his aura matched the color of his blood.

"Are you one of those, all talk and no guts kind of guys, old man?" She grinned at him, flashing sharp little fangs as she tried to goad him into doing something besides trying to scare her to death.
