As they walked through the town Robin couldn't help the low whistle that escaped her lips. This town cleaned up all the damage from yesterday really fast. If you hadn't been there, or known about it you would have never realized that it had been a mess the other day. She really had to hand it to the Slateport community. Looking around as she walked she didn't even notice the two had stopped at the train station and ran right smack into them. "Ach!" She cried as she toppled over, the weight of the bags not helping any. Landing on her but she groaned as she looked up at the two she had bumped into, they didn't look to happy.
"Watch where you are going!" Jayme glared at Robin from her place on the ground. "I hope you didn't break anything."
"It's not like you have anything nice to break." Sarah muttered. "Anyway, since you obviously can't be trusted with even a simple job why don't you go buy us some tickets for the train to Saffron." Taking her bag from the still on the ground Robin she slung it back over her shoulder and wondered away. Jayme just shot her one more look before grabbing her own bag and followed Sarah wherever it was that she went.
On the ground Robin watched them walk away feeling a bit saddened. That wasn't the nicest thing in the world, they were her friends though, maybe they were just tired. 'That must be it, they were tired and just wanted to go rest. I am sure they don't mean it.' She thought to herself as she picked herself back up. At her side Luffy looked a bit concerned, he was probably upset that he hadn't gotten breakfast though. Dusting herself off Robin went over to the ticket booth. "Can I have three tickets to Saffron please?"
The girl inside the booth looked up at her boredly as she chewed on a piece of gum. "Three tickets yeah?" She asked typing in a lazy manor at her computer.
"Yup three." Robin hoped the other two would pay her back for these... Robin wasn't made of money.
"Ok, that will be 450 please." The girl blew a bubble and popped it as she held her hand out waiting for Robin to pay up. Robin sighed as she dug through her bag and pulled out her wallet and paid for three tickets. "Thanks for your business." The girl said as she printed out three tickets and handed it to her.
"Yeah thanks..." Robin muttered as she took them and put her wallet away. Looking down at Luffy she gave him a tired smile. "Lets get you some breakfast before we go over to them ok?"

When Crenu blushed a little Riza smiled. It was cute to see him get all worked up as she intruded on his tough-guy act. He did end up asking the nurse though, and she smiled at him, nearly dancing with happiness at the nurse's answer. "See? Good things happen to those who ask," she giggled, looking in the direction the nurse had indicated. "We make a good team," she added, leaning over and planting a little kiss on his cheek. She did a little twirl and skipped off towards the rooms, humming a happy little tune to herself as she started jiggling doorknobs in order to find an unoccupied room. The first few were locked, and the third was open, though when she opened the door, the poor girl inside let out a startled cry. "Oops, sorry," Riza said hurriedly before closing the door, and continuing her search. After a few moments Riza opened up the door to a room and peered inside, delighted to see that it was empty. "Ah hah, here we go!" she exclaimed triumphantly before swinging the door wide open and dashing inside.

M.A. walked contentedly down the peaceful streets of Slateport; a quiet murmur circulated the town, the benevolent hum of populace struck by a disaster that rocked its core. Though most of the townspeople were not trainers and were not at the seminar, they surely felt the consequence of the destruction the previous day, and so kept their noise down to a respectful hush. Only children did not sense the reason of keeping their exorbitant joy in, and M.A. saw a few laughing and shrieking in the streets, although their parents generally kept them away from the places of ruin. And indeed, some buildings around the perimeter of the museum -- including the museum itself -- were looking pretty bad. She considered looking around for her family, but decided against it and continued to walk, breathing in the fresh air. Everyone's pain from yesterday was long gone from her mind.
That is, until about ten minutes into her stroll, where a young trainer of sorts bumbled into her. "Watch where you're going," he snapped, hair wild and eyes swollen. When M.A. stared at him, he simply got angrier. "What? You don't dare underestimate me! I -- I --" the young boy sputtered, unable to piece his words together. Furious tears rolled down his cheeks like the morning dew from the palm trees. "I - I wasn't able to protect my Pokemon from jerks like you!" he wailed, clutching onto his belt, which now only contained one ball.
"Battle me, damnit! Battle me," he half-yelled, fueled by the loss. He had to prove something. Had to prove that what the Rockets whispered in is ear, as he was down in the ground, wasn't true.
What can you prove? an insinuating little voice said in his head. You just lost all your Pokemon, except that ONE, because you were weak. What can you prove?
"Chut up! You don't know what you're talking about!" the boy barked at M.A., pointing an accusatory finger at her. The brunette, meanwhile, looked at the short boy with bewilderment. She hadn't said a thing since he bumped into her.
With a flick of his wrist, he released a somewhat short, despondent-looking Swalot. The Pokemon had watched, half-conscious, alongside his trainer on the painful floor, as the rest of his teammates, stronger than himself, had been taken away by those black Pokeballs. And he hadn't been strong enough to prevent it. Even now his trainer couldn't look him in the eye; the Swalot mistook this as the boy's shame in him. In truth, the boy was ashamed of himself more than anything. The rational side of his brain yelled at him that this was a stupid battle, that he wouldn't get anything of it, but he was desperate for something.
M.A. could only consent to the battle request, unable to make anything else of it now. She looked down at the two Pokemon with her. Diego.. was pointing at Ulani. Pik her, his tail wrote, and he even drew an arrow or two at the bird. Said bird huffed indignantly, but sighed a feathery okay. She didn't mind, she supposed. Although this didn't look like it'd be a fun battle, the way the opponents were so angsty.

Since the train didn't leave for a little bit Robin decided to walk the streets to find something for her and Luffy to munch on. While they were walking around they passed a shop that looked like it served breakfast. Well there were people inside of it anyway, and they had food so at least they could get something. "This place look good Luffy?" She asked looking down at the Aipom.
Luffy didn't really care, he had been walking for a while this morning and he hadn't been able to eat! When Robin had suggested that they get something to eat he could have burst into tears, now that they were here he didn't want to wait any longer! Clambering up to Robins shoulder Luffy grinned at her as they walked into the shop.
Looking up at the large sign above the register Robin wondered what she and Luffy should have for breakfast. Since she would actually be paying for this meal Luffy wouldn't be able to have anywhere near the amount of food he would like to eat. Still she was pretty sure the little Aipom would just like some food. Finally after a moment of looking she went up to the register and ordered a plate of waffles, a cinnamon bun, a cup of coffee and some OJ for Luffy and her self. Paying the cashier up front 200 for the whole thing she went and picked a table setting her stuff and Luffy down in the chairs of it. "Behave yourself Luffy or you wont get your breakfast ok?" She asked hoping that he would listen to her as he just looked up at her with blank eyes and a smile on his face. Ok so he was adorable, the two forks in his hands and his tail waving behind him happily at the thought of food coming soon. Grinning at him she walked over to the counter and waited a second before the food appeared. When it did she thanked the people and took it back to her table.
The meal was pleasant, Robin was able to eat a whole waffle and drink most of her coffee before Luffy inhaled the rest for her. Robin wasn't really upset with him, she knew that she should be eating less anyway if she wanted to at least look somewhat good compared to the other girls. After meeting, or at least seeing all of them at the party she was feeling pretty inadequate to them. They all had such huge busts! All she had were hips, they made her look fat, or at least she thought they did, maybe some guys were into that? Still despite those depressing thoughts the breakfast was nice and she and Luffy left there feeling much better then when they came in.

Kilik blinked when she grabbed his hand, but decided to allow it. It's not like he could just take his hand away - that would be rude. And it was nice to be held onto. I feel...wanted, he laughed quietly to himself but tried to to laugh too hard to avoid straining himself. He walked with her down the escalator, scratching the back of his head with his free hand. The boy watched the people on the floor below moving around, talking with clerks and walking away with bags upon bags of purchases. It's not like they were having a sale - PokeMarts never did that. When they reached the bottom, he stumbled off the step and walked with her towards the exit.
Once they were outside, Kilik decided to take in everything about Lilycove. He couldn't believe how fast they managed to rebuild everything. Two years was certainly a short time to rebuild an entire city. And now he realized that Slateport was going to have to go through the same thing. Not necessarily as widespread as Lilycove, and the reconstruction would be easier, but...I can't help but feel responsible in some way. He looked over at Mitsu and smiled a bit. His thumb rubbed against her hand, totally absentmindedly.
"So..." Cable said, still roosting on Karri's shoulder, "I'm pretty awesome. Like, I fought this big ol' Snorlax preeetty much by myself. I mean, Napalm was there. He kinda did stuff. But it was all me," he looked over at the womanly Pokemon and snickered. "And then I fought a Hitmonchan RIGHT afterward. I mean, I got to rest for maaaybe five seconds. Yep. I think I'll take on Kilik's Aggron next. He doesn't stand a chance against these guns." Cable flexed and made 'pew-pew' noises, laughing with the Gardevoir. He watched his Trainer walking with a noticeable limp and raised an eyebrow. Nah, it wasn't anything. Maybe he just hurt his foot.

It turned out that the kitchen had been in desperate need for an extra pair of hands. When Aidan had explained to the only chef who had made it in that morning he nearly cried in relief. So after a bit of an explanation and finding out that Aidan was excellent at making various kinds of pancakes, waffles and crepes he set him to work on that station while he did the rest of it. The two of them bustled about the kitchen each of them doing there own thing. They really were to busy to talk to each other but they had both received several complements from the customers about there work. The people liked watching the chefs work, the bar seats and the glass pane that let them watch was a hit and some people even tried to slip Aidan some tips, all of which were refused. Aidan didn't know it but apparently the person who usually worked the station he was on wasn't very attractive. The ladies, and some men, were very excited to see such a young and well dressed chef making delicious food for them.
Aidan was in the middle of mixing a new batch of pancake mix when Jun then Alice walked into the place. He groaned slightly and hoped they didn't notice him. He was sure Jun would make fun of him for feeling guilty and helping out around here. He wasn't sure what Alice would do but he was sure it would be unintentionally mean. The girl was nice and clearly didn't mean things the way she said them but that didn't help to much. Sighing he shifted the bowl to under his other arm and continued mixing trying to pull his thoughts away from the other two.
When he considered it mixed and fluffy enough he carefully put the batter into the pancake dropper and began dropping his next batch onto the griddle. He was backed up on orders now since he had to make a fresh batch so he really had to get back to work.

The large expanse of Lilycove was not a new sight to Mitsu. She'd been there on several occasions shopping and just plain walking around the eastern most part of the Hoenn mainland with the Tate and Liza. And even Ken, whom she hadn't seen in a loooong time. The city still looked big each time though.
The duo had walked down the upper end of the island without much chitchat. The rusting of leaves and the delicate sea breeze seemed to keep both of the content for the time being. Granted, Mitsu woul have like some conversation, though the odd serenity of everything was such a stark contrast to yesterday's events. She cringed a bit recalling the horror. There was no use dwelling on it though, but even then she had no idea what to talk about, the two barely knew each other. So Mitsu too a chot in the dark! "So, uh, what have you been up to? I haven't seen you in, uh, a long time," she tried though halfway reaizing that the last time she had seen the boy, other than yesterday and the dinner, was when he was still dealing with Team Rocket drama. Needless to say he probably didn't want to be reminded of that right now.
"Snorlax, Hitmonchan, and Aggron, eh? That's pretty tough of you to say," Karri laughed. Fighting the first two must have been yesterday seeing as Naplam was there. The Psychic didn't know of thier rivalry personally, but from the emotions the Electric Pokemon seemed to be wafting off on her she could tell there was one. "Hey," Karri whispered pretending to shift her eyes back and forth, "Just between you and me, I took out an Aridos, Tarous, and a Blaziken all at once." The Gardevior winked and laughed, trailing after thier two trainers.

Crenu found himself grinning a little when Riza kissed his cheek Though it was unexpected he didn't mind, quite the contrary. "Good team huh?" He said to himself as he mauled the thought over in his head. He followed Riza as she searched for a room, laughing in his head when she accidentally walked in on some random girl. Even in his head, laughing wasn't something he did often. He half expected it to happen again when she opened another door, but was glad to see it unoccupied. Entering the door frame he looked around, pausing when he heard the sound of running water coming from down the hall. "I'm gonna hit the shower real quick, do...whatever it is you do." He said calmly, back to his old stoic self. He left his bag in the room, having pulled out a small towel before following the sound of the water. Sure enough, he found the guys shower and entered. He was still feeling a little dizzy, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. He folded his clothes on top of his bag and jumped into the water, turning down the water from its comfortable warm level to cold. He let the icy water wash over him, shivering a little at first as he got use to it. Hot water may have been more soothing to the touch, but cold water was much better for sore muscles and Crenu liked it like that anyway. Once he finished washing himself, he looked at the bloody bandage around his arm and sighed. The water droplets stung, and when he unwrapped it to let the water in further he winced from the pain that shot through his arm. The icy water soon numbed it though, and as he'd expected the bleeding had stopped, only the open wound remained. Climbing out of the shower, Crenu used his towel to dry himself off as best he could, only having a clean set of boxers in his bag he was going to have to go shirtless for now. He put his shorts back on and made his way back through the hall way, still drying his head with the towel when he called out to Riza as he neared the room, not knowing if she was even still in there. "Pass me the bandages in my bag, I gotta wrap my arm up again."

Looking down at her watch again she hummed slightly, she should head back to the others and give them their tickets now, it was almost time for them to start getting on the train anyway. The walk was a short one since it was so close to the train station. Robin soon found the other two having a conversation with the other that quickly stopped when she came back over to them. "I got the tickets." She said with a grin as she handed each of them a ticket.
Jayme looked up at her with a disbelieving look on her face. "What took so long? Was there a line or something?"
Taken aback somewhat Robin stuttered for a moment before asking. "Well no, Luffy and I just went to get breakfast because there was time and we had missed it." Was there something wrong? She didn't think so, maybe she had done something to offend them?
Sarah who was typing something into her phone barely glanced up at her as she asked her voice a little accusatory this time. "Why didn't you get us anything? Are we not your friends?"
She didn't even think of that. Robin had just assumed that they had eaten before they had come to wake her up. Gosh she had never really had friends before and there was so much she had to learn! "Oh I am so sorry! I thought you had already eaten! I can run and get you something. If I run I might be able to make it there and back in time."
Finishing up with her cellphone Sarah shut it and stuck it into her pocket before she answered. "That's ok, you can just get us something on the train." As she said that the train pulled up and started letting a few people off of it.
"Trains here." Jayme said fiddling with her own phone now before shutting it as well. "Lets get on it. You think you can carry our stuff again Robin? I forgive you for dropping it earlier, you were probably just tired."
Once again Robin didn't have much of a choice as the two girls just made there way onto the train. Leaving Robin to pick up and carry their things which the poor girl scrambled to do. With the stuff shouldered and Luffy at her side instead of her shoulder she dashed to the train and the compartment the two had gone in. After a moment of trying to find her ticket Robin and Luffy eventually made it onto the train. Quickly the girl put the bags into the above head storage compartments before sitting down in her own chair. The day had barely started and she was already tired! Her good mood from before had gone quickly and she couldn't really figure out why. By her side Luffy stood by one of the chairs and looked out of the window excitedly. It seemed like not even having ridden on a train before would deter the Aipom from being excited about the ride. Robin envied his enthusiasm, he always treated everything like a brand new adventure everyday.

Kilik walked her over to the beach, but stopped a few feet short of the sand. They had just come from the beach after all. Instead, he walked along the perimeter of the beach until he was able to turn down a street corner. "Uh..." he scratched his chin, "I've just been catching Pokemon and training a lot. Got a few more badges, got a Lombre and evolved it...Yep. Can't say I've done a lot." Man, he was really bad at small talk. "Uhm..." he slipped his free hand into his pocket, staring at his feet as he walked rather strangely. He really did hate talking about himself. That was the problem. "I...saved Sasha from Team Aqua? I mean, Mike helped me. Actually it was mostly Mike. I just provided the back up."
"You?" he asked finally after about a thirty second silence, "I mean, what have you been up to?" Probably something a lot more interesting than me. He shifted the hand that was holding hers so that their pinkies were locked together. He didn't want his hand to get too sweaty.
"Oh wow! You're pretty strong!" he laughed, patting her on the shoulder, "I think once I evolve, I'll be preeeetty much the strongest Pokemon ever." He heard Kilik mention the fight against Team Aqua. "I remember that! Don't listen to hiiiim. Kilik's just being nice, not talking too highly about himself. In fact, it was Kilik who did it all! He saved the girl, fought the bad guys...Man, it was great. Napalm and I had to work together on it. He's a slacker, and so is the trainer. But Kilik seems to like both of them so I get along with it." He was talking a mile a minute, "I guuuuess Mike did some cool stuff...." he shrugged nonchalantly.

Vlad came out of his poke ball not quite sure what had just happened. He looked around confused last thing he remembered was chasing this boy down but now he was in a room of some sort. The boy had amused him, he found it fun to chase him through the woods, and it was good exercise. But he also noticed this small bird sitting by the boy. It seemed very cheerful. What the heck was he so cheerful about? That pipsqueak couldn't compare to his mighty claws. Vlad leaned forward and glared towards Hurricane trying to intimidate the tiny bird but Hurricane simply cocked his head to the side a continued to stare at the tiny bird.
"Well what do think of him Hurricane? He's cool isn't he?" Eraku asked his small companion. Hurricane looked over to his friend and gave a chirp of approval. They spent the night in the Pokémon Center and bright and early in the morning they got up and got on the go. "Alright guys it’s time to get going!" Eraku said enthusiastically. The trio walked out of town heading east not knowing where exactly their next destination was. Little to their knowledge someone was watching them on their way out.

Kirsa was used to waking up early every morning, and even after the events of yesterday today was no different. A little surprised that she had woken up naturally, as opposed to Sasha assaulting her or her phone ringing non-stop, but she certainly wasn't going to question it. The purple haired girl stretched, then put her Jigglypuff plush into her bag and toddled off to the bathroom with it to change and go through her morning routine.
Not really shocked to see Sasha in there, Kirsa gives her a nod of acknowledgment before slipping into a stall to change. Just because she was used to getting up early didn't mean she was any more talkative. She pulled on her uniform in silence and laced up her boots before shuffling out to wander to the sink to brush her teeth and hair. From a glance in the mirror it appeared that the swelling on her face had gone down considerably, but the bruise was still there, dark as ever. Ah well...there were worse things she could have suffered. Like her wrists, which were a little sore but otherwise looking fine. All in all, pretty good.
Kirsa glanced over at Sasha and opened her to say something, but instead the bathroom was suddenly filled with the slightly muffled sound of music.
I am your holy virgin Be gentle all the time I am your holy virgin I'll blow your mind, oh~
The cadet's phone was going off. She quickly crouched down and started to frantically dig through her bag, trying to find the device.
I am your holy virgin And if you touch me right I'll be your n-
It was abruptly cut off by Kirsa hitting the button on the side, silencing it. She straightened up and cleared her throat a bit, phone in hand and looking fairly embarrassed. "...Sleep well?"

Sasha nearly spat up her toothpaste at Kirsa's ringtone. Suffice to say it was a little unexpected coming from her. She expected something a little more orchestral, or a heavy usage of drums. "Oui," replied the girl after she spat out the rest of her toothpaste. "But like everything in life, it was-" she stretched. "-far too short. Trop court. Excusez-moi." With a yawn, Sasha walked into one of the stalls, reemerging with her outfit from yesterday (albeit a less ripped and bloody one).
When Sasha exited the bathroom, a thought occurred. Two actually. One: she needed to upgrade her Pokedex, recalling something Rowan had said before the Rockets attacked yesterday, and two: she needed someone to trade with her to evolve Granite. She looked around, hoping to catch someone who didn't look busy she could use. Aha! She caught a boy who looked around her age looking at her from across the room. He looked away embarrassed when he found out he was caught staring. Sasha let out a sinister grin, popped the highest button on her shirt and sauntered on over. This'll be fun she thought.
"Excusez-moi!" she called out, the boy looking around in confusion before pointing to himself.
"M-me?" he asked, stuttering slightly.
"Oui, oui!" repled Sasha, shooting him a warm smile. "I was wondering...would you perhaps be willing to trade wiz me? O-only for a second! I need to evolve my Pokemon so a poor girl like me isn't out zere all alone with no one to protect me." She gave the boy her best and most practiced pouting face, pushing out her lower lip, holding her hands behind her back and shifting around like she had no where else to go. Hey eyes begged him to comply. The observing Nurse joy rolled her eyes and shook her head before going back to her duties.
The boy's eyes lit up at Sasha's awful predicament. "Of course I'll help you!" he shouted. "No girl as pretty as you deserves to go out in that dangerous world with underevolved Pokemon!" He took out a Pokeball and ran over to the trade machine, booting it up and inputting his data.
Sasha squealed in delight. That one never fails. "Merci beacoup!" She skipped over and took out Granite's Pokeball, entering her trainer id and password. She placed the ball in the machine and sent the okay. The icons of their Pokemon flashed on the screen (the boy had a Growlithe), trading places before they dropped lightly on the opposite sides. The boy picked up his 'new' Pokemon and released it, revealing Sasha's Graveler, who barely had the time to wave before his body was enveloped by a bright white light which filled the Center. "C'est beau!" cried Sasha as she watched her Pokemon transform. Granite grew substantially, becoming rounder and gaining two powerful looking legs. The light faded and there stood Granite: a newly evolved Golem. Sasha threw her arms around the boy and squeezed tight. "Merci, merci! Now quick, send him back to me!" She hopped up and down, granting the boy a lovely image of female youth at its finest.
"S-sure!" In a few moments, Sasha was back in possession of her Pokemon, and rewarded the helpful boy with a kiss on the cheek, who nearly melted on the spot.
Now that that was over, the pink haired girl walked over to the PC and input her data. She waved for Kirsa to come over as she selected the videophone option and dialed her local professor.

"Alrighty," Riza replied as Crenu headed off towards the showers, deciding that she didn't need one since she'd showered earlier in the day thanks to her adventures in fishing. Again she found herself thinking about the Marill and she couldn't help but hope that the little Pokemon was doing okay. 'Maybe I should have caught it after all,' she mused, but dismissed the thought. There was no sense in dwelling on the past, let alone regretting it. 'And besides, we met Ralts today too,' she thought with a smile. As if summoned by her thoughts, the little white psychic popped out of her pokeball and appeared on the bed, looking around curiously. "Hello there, little one," Riza said with a smile, tossing her black and white knapsack on the bed beside Ralts, who immediately wandered over to it and started look through it once Riza had unzipped it. "Nosy Parker," Riza chuckled, pushing aside a few things to reach her nightgown. She undressed quickly, tossing her clothing onto the bed and sighing as Sneasel also chose to exit her ball, and now the two Pokemon were sitting side beside, chattering to each other. "You're lucky we're all ladies here," Riza sighed as she pulled on her nightgown, which, surprisingly enough, wasn't black or white at all. In fact, it was a rosy pink colour, and it was long, reaching all the way down to her ankles, and had a lacy pink ribbon done up in a bow at low point of the modest neckline. Lastly, there were spaghetti shoulder straps that criss-crossed over her back. She heard Sneasel chuckle at the sight of her and she shot the Pokemon a silencing glare, though both Pokemon started giggling as soon as their trainer's back was turned.
"Everyone's a critic," she mumbled, taking her clothes and folding them neatly before she placed them on the table in the corner, as well as her leggings and shoes, and she placed her knapsack on one of the chairs. She liked to keep things neat and organized as it always made getting ready the next day a lot easier. After that, she quickly ran to the bathroom and washed her face and brushed her teeth, ran a brush through her hair and headed back to the room. Crenu wasn't back at this point and she frowned a little, kind of missing the stoic boy's company as well as the novelty of the room having worn off. She managed to find a pile of old magazines, most of which were either severely out-of-date and horrendous to look at. She finally settled on the most recent one she could find, which was a year-old issue of Pokemon Today: Field and Stream edition. She shooed Sneasel and Ralts out of the way and flopped down stomach-first on the bed, opening the magazine and having a look inside. Only a few moments later did she hear Crenu's voice outside the door, and she sighed and rolled her eyes before eying the bag that he'd left on the floor. "There's no way you can do that yourself," she called back, getting to her feet and getting the bandages out like he'd requested. "Don't be a dope and get in here. I'll do it for you." She opened the door, blinking in surprise at the sight of Crenu being shirtless. 'Okay, wasn't expecting that,' she thought, though she smiled. 'Check out those abs!'
"Well? Are you coming in already?" she asked impatiently, though her tone was somewhat playful.

Kasiya felt a cold chill creep up her spine as Mike spoke, and she shivered. On any other day, she would have thought he was joking, but on some strange level, everything he said made perfect sense. The Mike she knew would never attack anyone like that, regardless of what was going on. The more she thought about it, the more she believed it. That awful, frightening laugh, the cold, malicious look in his eyes, everything. She shivered again and shook her head. "B-but I-I don't w-want to l-leave you alone," she stammered. "N-not after everything you've b-been through. You need s-someone to t-take care of you. 'Cause you've always t-taken care of m-me," she said, closing her eyes and leaning up against him. "Who's going to take care of you? You need... you need..." With every word, her voice grew fainter and fainter, until she had practically fallen asleep in mid-sentence. "You need me," she whispered.
As she drifted off, it was as though all the pain she felt just melted away into nothingness. Even though she understood this whole split-personality thing Mike was going through, she still felt rather safe with him right there, and it was probably the only reason she was able to fall asleep like that, though the rough day she'd had was also a factor as well.
=-=-=-=-= For someone who wasn't tired, Jaeshan slept soundly through the entire night, not even noticing when Mightyena became a bed hog and pushed his trainer off the bed. Jaeshan awoke in the morning to find himself sprawled out on the floor and as he groaned and stretched, he glared at the sleeping canine and recalled him into his Pokeball. "At least the carpet was somewhat comfortable," he grumbled, looking at his watch. He didn't know what time the ferries would be leaving port and he really didn't want to miss out on the chance to head to Dewford Island and another Hoenn Gym badge.
He dressed in his normal clothes and gathered his things before he returned the room key to the front desk. When that was done he headed straight for the Pokemon Center to get his Pokemon healed and deposit Mightyena's Pokeball. He knew that if the canine remained in his party he'd be tempted to use him in more battles than he should, and he wanted the others to get to the same level he was. "Just don't cause too much trouble for Professor Birch," he mumbled as the sphere vanished.
And exactly eighteen seconds later his PokeNav rang and he jumped back in surprise, staring at it like it was about to explode or something. He pressed the 'talk' button, and slowly raised it to his ear. "Uh... hello?" he asked warily, sighing when the voice on the other end of the line was familiar. "Professor Birch, hey," he chuckled. Long story short, Professor Birch had just received Rowan's information to update the PokeDex, and since he knew Jaeshan was right by a PC, he'd decided to call and get the youth to upgrade it. Jaeshan slipped the device into the slot on the computer. The light flashed a few times as the device downloaded the new information, and when the tone sounded to signal that it was finished, he removed the device and slipped it back into his pocket, thanking Birch for his help. The timing was great, because it was also at that point that Jaeshan's Pokemon had been fully healed and he retrieved them, putting each sphere back on his belt before he turned to head outside, nearly running into a familiar redhead as he did so.
"Err, sorry about that," he said apologetically, scratching the back of his head. "How are you this... morning?" he trailed off when he saw just how roughed up Keegan looked. "Dude, are you all right?"
=-=-=-=-= "Don't worry, we'll get you one," Cynthia said, extending a hand to help Serenity get to her feet. "They're intended for Pokemon, yes, but they seem to do the trick to help humans too. Interesting, isn't it?" Shooting another glare at Ampersand she began to lead the injured girl in the direction of the Pokemon Center. "A Burn Heal, a shower, and a good night's sleep and I think you'll be fine," she said with a nod, noticing the girl's Pokeballs. "Do your Pokemon need treatment or anything as well?" she asked, more to make sure she had nothing else to worry about other than taking care of herself. Cynthia was used to helping others like this, though she was aware of the fact that sometimes she tried to help 'too much.'
