I don't care for either extremes... winter or summer. Everything in moderation. It's a great way to live. Don't worry Hazu, u didn't miss much. Shallow water, not much of waves, and did I mention the water is brown? and in some places then bottom feels all mushy- gorss! I wore my flippy-floppies as much as possible. It's too bad they float! rofl But it made them easy to find.
So here we are in August; just getting into the most dangerous part of hurricane season and school starts Friday. stressed I have to go to a class on Wednesday to sharpen my skills. yippee Let the responsibilities rain down.
I did manage to visit a casino on Thursday. Didn't get lucky, but it was more fun than I thought it would be. Got a free t-shirt! Only lost $10 and that was because I choose not to stop and break even. The most I got up was about $5. I hope I get to go again soon. Maybe for my birthday???
Speaking of birthdays... HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my favorite PIE!

.-. Wait, what about my weather? xD I don't think that was me but it /is/ hot as hell down here. Florida heat is not fun. D:
Hazu;;
I don't think you would have liked the Biloxi beaches. xD That's my hometown and where my grandparents live and those beaches are...well, not the best and basically what Gweener said. ;o I think the one in Ocean Springs is better...Or where ever the beach is that I'm thinking about. But if you really want to see some nice beaches, Destin is where it's at. Touristy as hell, but the beaches are beautiful. I think my teacher said they were the second best in the world? oO; I dunno, but they're are nice. Lovely water, beautiful white sand. Fun Fun. xD I hardly go to the beach at all these days, though. Also, Destin is a richy rich area. D: I feel intimated there. But they have some nice cars~ _m_

I hope you had a great B-day Pie!
@Gwee: I hope you don't get anything but a light breeze once in a while. Good luck with your class. Here depending on the time of the year the lakes can be clear to greenish in color. Although with all those blasted zebra muscles, it has gotten clearer.

The most interesting place I've visited... Had to put other since I can't exactly remember all the places I've been. But I think it would have to be these caverns/caves I went to while I was in the Azores. One was really beautiful. It was huge, green with life and all sorts of other crap. If you looked up, you could see the sky and it was as if you were in a volcano or something...Though that island was basically an volcano. XD There was with pool of water at the bottom and it was clear as glass. I loved it there. But then there was this other one where you had to crawl about to get around. x3 And the walls shined/sparkled with gold. I thought it was awesome. : D The Azores maybe be ( nine after it imploded ) isolated islands, I lived on Terceira which was where the base was, but they're beautiful and full of fun places to see and go. -snort; remembering the cliff diving/jumping I did-

Thank you Shelby! It sounds like you've been all over the place and seen all sorts of really cool things.
I remember watching a show on disasters on night. I think that one of the islands in the azores is supposed to slid into the sea causing a 50 meter tidal wave to his the eastern shores of the US. That sounded quite scary.
I would still like to visit the real ocean one of these days. I mean Lake Superior is very cool, and so is Lake Michigan, but I want to see the big stuff ya know?

...As long as you don't visit the Gulf of Mexico. It's not really all that spectacular. A lot of the beaches in California aren't either. At least, not anymore.

So like, happy early birthday Chainsaw! Got the PM saying it was tomorrow.
What is with all the August babies? Mine's today, August 8th. Chainsaw's is August 9th. ...Actually, all of Gaia seems to be born mostly on those two days. It's insane.

I was thinking the same thing!~ we have alot of Leo's!!! Mine is coming up soon also. A very merry unbirthday to everyone.
We used to visit a beautiful beach in California... had to make your way through a treacherous trail down through a cliff to get down to the beach, but it was worth it even though the water was SO cold. But the tidal pools and off shore island with sea lions was cool.

There is a beach over on lake Michigan that I love. Its called Orchard Beach, in Manistee MI. Its just below a cliff, there is a stairway that leads down to the beach. It was a neat place to visit. At the top of the Cliff you could see on the distant horizon the other side of the lake. Wow now I want to go visit, maybe next year. smile
Don't worry Chain, it doesn't feel any different as you get older. I can't believe I will be 39 next month, yet I know I won't feel any different than when I was 21. Which in my personal opinion is pretty good smile

Oh yeah, and your next birthday will be a real good excuse to do some serious partying,... so that's something to look forward to, right? One year count-down to legal drinking and gambling.
