Lawlll, burden_upon_society, that's a good one.
David, you're just stealing ideas from Philosophy class. -pokes- Idea thief. Lmao~
Another good one could be... There are no new ideas. All our ideas are merely different versions of the originals. What do you think?

Maybe we should stop coming up with a ton of questions and answer them. XD
1. Discuss the quote "ignorance is bliss"; how and why should ignorance never be blissful and bliss never be based upon ignorance? 2. Consider existentialism's view on existence. If there is no reason why we are here other than a freak chemical reaction, why should we stay alive? 3. In society, how does "streets smarts" differ from "literary smarts"?/"what's the difference between wisdom and intelligence?" 4. Discuss this quote: "If God did not exist, it would be neccessary to invent him." 5. There are no new ideas. All our ideas are merely different versions of the originals. What do you think?
There we go. >D Pick an interesting one and answer what you think?

It's actually kind of funny, because some girls in my school wrote on the bathroom wall the same thing with the new/old ideas. *sighs with content* I love it when Gaia ties into reality... mrgreen

Yeah...it's eerie, but awesome at the same time. ^ ^
I'm signing up for next year's classes (I'm in high school) and I can't choose between these classes...I have a 2-semester slot that's still open. Which do you think I should take? -Marketing (2 semesters) -Music Theory (1 semester) -AP Computer Science A (2) -Computer Programming 1 (1)
I'm also going to try out for Cheer, but I probably won't make it XD

Hm...I'd tell you to take Music Theory, but I don't know what level they're teaching at. If it's grade 3 Harmony, then take it! I guess it also depends on where you're at and who your teacher is. I go to an Arts high school in Canada, so I'm required to take a Band course as well as a Theory course every year. I have the most hilarious/immature teacher ever, so Theory has always been one of my favourite courses. The only down side to it is that I can't think of where it might come in handy in the real world unless you're going into related fields...I dunno.

Problem is, it's usually not offered because not enough people sign up for it. I don't think I'd actually learn very much from Music Theory (I'm a pianist of 10 years) but it'd at least fulfill my art requirements, haha. UC schools require that two semesters, continuous, of related art be taken in order to be considered for application. -falls on face-

Hey everyone! I'm so sorry that I haven't been on in such a long time. I've been so busy with a new semester at the university with freakishly hard classes like bio 175 (human anatomy and phsyiology I) and anthropology (not that hard) and chicano studies. Also have a boyfriend and best friend takes up most of my time. I see that you guys have started a philosophical debate! Very ravenclaw! Do we have a new member? Welcome burden! Im glad that Turayza is keeping you company. I would never take music theory (not gifted but only with singing?) Does that makes sense? Anyways have a great week, on to writing a paper!

No prob! My shortened version of name is Para, that's easier to pronounce. I go to a CSU. They're really good schools. and not that expensive compared to UC's and private schools. I'm a 2nd year. this is like my 4th semester already. I can't believe how fast time goes by. I still feel like barely graduating out of high school. I have to take a shower, hasta manana.

Hmm well just less expensive and it's not as intense, they are usually alot smaller and less competitive than UC's. I'm majoring in Human Development with an emphasis in counseling. I think I failed my H&P quiz today. Oh well. Que sera sera.

Well, the school that I'm actually looking at in the US is Yale. There's a good chance I'm not getting in though, so I'll probably go to UBC (University of British Columbia) up the coast - that's my best bet. UBC's a Canadian university, BTW, for those of you who are down south.

Oh wow! Yale. That's a big ambition. Well not saying you can't do it, you actually can. Anyways, british columbia? Is it cold up there? Just wondering.
