I posted a link to my Mike Kyoka playlist on my tumblr, and would like to ask this question to my fellow TTRers: What sort of music do you listen to when you write or brainstorm?

I don't really listen to anything specific. I do listen to a lot of game music or soundtracks from movies, and I'm a radio station hopper. If the song is boring or there's too much talking, I switch it. :3

I tend to listen to a lot of classic rock, and when all else fails, TTR OSTs ftw.

I listen to lots of video game OSTs. Even listening to the World Ends With You Soundtrack right now.
I like instrumental stuff when trying to read or brainstorm. If I can understand the lyrics I tend to get distracted and want to comprehend them which is bad for staying focused.

I have a hard time writing if there's music on with words, so I like instrumental music and stuff without lyrics. Sometimes lyrics can help inspire, but mostly they just distract me. I generally write best in complete and utter silence, oddly enough.

Oh, and did someone order two servings of flattened Magma grunts? Too bad they moved too fast otherwise they could have been en flambe. twisted

Except now I'm not exactly sure where we go from there, other than reuniting Winona and Kasiya with those two. XD
And sad news is sad: the fan on my laptop died (it's about time, considering it is 4 years old) so I can't really use it much without it overheating and spazzing out. My two options are: 1) hunt around for the best repair/replacement options or 2) new one altogether. I'm leaning more to 2 because I have wanted an upgrade for some time now.... mmm HoJu 2.0
