That made very good sense. "That sounds like our top choice." He took a deep breath, then nodded. "I think I'll go to bed. Sleep on it. G'night, Nyl." He smiled and winked at her, before shuffling back to his room.

Seph sighed softly as he exited his room. He barely got any sleep at all. Something didn't sit right with the incident last night. It was such a powerful onslaught, only to be diminished so easily. He shuffled into the main room, still thinking about it..

Nyl sat in the rafters again, playing her flute. It was sort of a haunting, echoing melody; it expressed pretty well her thoughts on everything that had gone on the night before.

Seph looked up and smiled some, his mezmerized thought-process interupted. He didn't mind, though. What she played made him shiver a bit. It was a strange feeling, one he didn't like. He crossed his arms, suddenly chilly, then sat down. He rose his body heat a few degrees to compensate, then took a deep breath. "Any thoughts on last night..?"

"Many. But they're circular." She put the flute away and looked down at Seph, her expression unreadable. "I have come to the conclusion that either I have finally lost it, or I am being deceived."

"Aye, me too." He looked back down and took another deep breath. "And I don't think either of us is going crazy."

"So we're being deceived. But no one was here last night, just as no one is here now."

He frowned some. "Wait.. What if no one was here last night? At all? The Fog was made up of chakra, but.. what if it wasn't hiding someone? What if it -was- the attacker?"

She gave him an almost ironic smile.
"In my experience, fog has signaled or concealed an assailant. It has never been one."
She jumped down.
"And even if it had been, one of us would have noticed a presence. ...And fog cannot throw kunai knives."

He nodded, "Yeah, that's true. Nothing adds up, though. I wish whoever it was that attacked would just-" His eyes widened, and in an instant he was at the doors, opening them. "Speak of the devil.." He said, pointing out towards the treeline..

"You should know better than to wish those things on us."
She joined him at the door, following his gesture toward the trees.

"It was more a wish for closure. For comfortable sleep." He crossed his arms a bit. "I don't think we want another encounter like last night, not until we know more about this. Nyl, could you blow it away, again?"

She held out one hand, forming a breeze just above it before letting it go toward the fog, getting stronger as it went.
I hope it actually does blow it away.

He held his breath as the fog drifted closer. He looked to Nyl. Yes, she was trying to blow it away, but still the fog approached. Seph looked around, then waved his hand. A dome of fire burst from the ground, about two-hundred meters from the dojo, sealing up at the top. The fog rolled up to the dome, but began to hiss violently as it tried to pass through.
