Swords and fists don't run out of ammo or energy.
Swinging a sword about costs stamina. The weapon is not infallible. The edge can be lost. It can be taken from you. You run a risk given how close you are of someone getting past your guard. It can be damaged.
Fists have a number of the above, plus your bones can be shattered, your skin torn apart to the point the pain causes your punches to be half-assed, etc.
There is always a condition or a repercussion.Arian once fought some guy with 'AMAZING HARD SKIN THAT IS ACTUALLY SOFT BUT SO MUSCLE FILLED YOUR HANDS BREAK' or some s**t.
It was actually cool, because Arian was driven just-out of her head insane. Stupid insane. She went nuts on him, punching and punching and punching-breaking her hands into a bloody, broken mess.
It was cool, but really icky. But I thought it conveyed how unthinking she can be when she lets her temper get the best of her. Big weakness, Arian's strength...*Noddles*
