::And the fishes continued their odd work uninterupted by and generally uneffected by the submarine. It was as if it wasnt there. Or maybe they knew it was there, and hadnt really seem a need to acknowledge it. The photos would could through crystal clear and again...all seemed well.::

User Image Whart in deh bloody blazes be goin on roun here?

A man, smelling a little of booze, had recently heard the news of the attack on Lament, and he had been wandering about the city streets of Latent. These streets were his home, and he wandered around aimlessly till he came up near the city docks, not too far off from a blue fellow. He looked down in the water and spied the silvery fish swimming about in the ocean, and as he leaned in to look, one of the fishes jumped up and nearly hit him in the face!

OLY FEEBEEGEEBS!!

The man fell back onto his rump as he nearly missed being bitten by the fish, his bottle making a sloshing noise as he hit ground.

Fishies be bitin back at meh nosef! Grah!

He quickly pushed himself up and ran as fast as he could to get away from the water, only to slam into a wall moments later. He got back up, cursed loudly at the wall, and kept running as quickly as he could away from the water, bringing him closer to Leviathan Stadium.

The pictures taken, the Captain transmitted them via triple encrypted wireless network "Can you here me now?" "Good." back to central HQ, along with a detailed report of the events in Latent involving the silver fish. Then the kilo sub continued on its patrol as if nothing else had happened, awaiting further orders.

Juunikyuu had wandered down from the cliffs and followed the coast down and around to the port town of Latent. Throughout her brief journey something had felt amiss. The sea seemed dead, devoid of all life. The waves lapped almost lifelessly at the shore although she could've sworn that she'd seen the odd flash of silver beneath the bubbling tides.

Upon reaching the town many strange rumours bombarded the Senshi's ears and she engaged in a brief conversation with one of the local fishmongers.

"Ah miss, time's is been hard ever since the ocean turned against us. No boats safe out there, no matter how much we repair they just destroy's it again! Tis a bad omen miss, I'd steer clear of the port if I were you!"

Juunikyuu thanked the man and continued to walk down the street.

Since the ocean turned against them? What on earth does he mean by that?

Her shoulder's tingled painfully and she rolled them slowly, wincing as they cracked before turning down one of the alley's towards the beach and dock.

A Serpant type Nuclear submarine, gutted of weaponry at the Guldor rigs and refitted for research purposes, would silently join the Kilo sub that had been ordered to keep a patrol in Latent's waters.

Two minu-subs were dispatched when the silver fish were around. A net of tightly wooven fiber glass strands would be launched into the water by one, the other mini sub would latch on to the top. The net was attached to the other sub from the top and bottom of the containment door, creating a wide loop. High quality bait would be released into the loop if needed. If fish came between the net and the second sub, they would be pulled into a containment unit, not all of them, but enough to collect a few samples. One or two would be fine.

Could they pull it off?

*Enki's eyes stop their ominous glowing, the strange looking fish falling back into the ocean as Enki gazes out amongst the horizon. His eyes began glowing again, but pulsing this time*

This... isn't right... I can not feel the power of Gaea in the water... barely at all... I can only feel our earths energy within the plants... but not any of these fish. I don't like the feeling of this...

*Enki turns quickly and looks around for the nearest aquarium or scient center*

Could they pull it off?

::The simple answer was, no.

It was one thing early to be observing the fishes at work, and even to be clicking harmless pictures. But to steal a few samples was to interrupt the work itself, and that was simply unacceptable. It was quite clear that objects not directly interupting the fishes work were accepted, one need only look at the rigg these submarines originated from, and its spotless state.

But that was getting off track. The fishes did not stop, they did not look away, they did not even react to the containment unit. And then one of them was sucked inside, and suddenly each fish stopped dead in its tracks. Suddenly, the pilots of the two subs, and the Serpant type would have all eyes on them.

And that was when...odd, things began to happen. The first of which was the net disconnecting from either ship and simply falling to the sea bottom. Once there, it and the box would be seen simply dissolving away into nothing and the fish would swim free to join his brethren. Next, the two mini subs began the same fate. As if suddenly covered in some invisible blanket, the two subs began to vanish from the rear to the front, and in a matter of about 15 or so seconds all that remained was two very wet pilots infront of an army of angry looking silver fish. That of course was if the mini-subs were manned.

Then came the Serpant. If it was smart, it would be making a stern retreat and failing miserably. It wasnt that the ship was being taken apart or anything of that nature. It was as if it was trying to propell itself through tar, or rubber. It was like the water was just too thick. And suddenly, the water was becoming entirely too tight. And device measuring water pressure would be measuring a massive amount of pressure being put on the submarine right now, the sort of pressure one experiences at several thousand fathoms down, but they werent nearly that low...Yet signs showed that the sub was definately being pulled lower, it was pulled a good 100ft deeper. And then suddenly without warning or explanation, there was a sudden jolt inside the sub as if everything was jerked in one direction and suddenly every reading showed absolutely zero water pressure, and the proppellers spun freel.

Most submarines dont have windows, but if it did, the crew would be currently watching their sub being hurtled through the air...completely outside the ocean, and go smashing into the Latent dock. Thankfully, most of the dock was abandoned and so the fishing shack the submarine demolished had no inhabitants, leading to zero injuries. Odder still was the fact that the Submarine itself was completely and totally dry, everywhere. Not a speck of water was on it, not even a moist section. The ocean had sent a pretty clear message. But it wasnt done...::

As luck would have it, and by his own free will, Stan and made his way back into Latent and out of the stadium to buy some more of his wisdom juice, and check up on his box. He'd thought this whole Prophet of Doom thing over, and maybe he wasn't right afterall... While on his way to his little cardboard appartment, Stan would hear several screams and shouts and something was amiss, he'd then see a very dark shadow cover the ground, and look up to see what LOOKED like a giant falling cigar headed towards him.

He didn't have a chance to even say anything as a tremendous crash sounded across the dock area. Stan opened his eyes to see black. Nothing but black. Apon closer inspection one would see that the sub had crashed a mere inch from Stan's nose.

OLY FEEBEEGEEBS!!

Nert jast bookies, bert Submarinees!?! IT'S TEH END OFN TEH WURLD!!!!

Quickly, Stan the Prophet of Doom grasped his little black marker, and scribbled something new on his sign.

Stan
REPENT SINNERS!!! REPENT!!!

The end of the world is near!!

Robotic fish in the seas! Attacks on Lament and other cities!! Books SUBMARINES raining from the sky!!

It's the end of the world!! Repent!!

Is gerts to tell thee wurld!!! DOOM ISH COMMIN!!! ITS DEH END OFN TEH WURLD!!! READ MEH SIGN!!!

And thus, Stan would find that his message must once more be told to the people, and begin the long wobbly run back to Leviathan Stadium to warn the people!

Stan's journey would sadly be cut short as a hand was laid on his shoulder from behind, a strong grip holding him in place.

"Aiyeeee cracka, gimme yo siiiign! ~" The voice belonged to a rough looking young man of sixteen or seventeen. Caucasian with short hair covered by a fitted cap tilted off to the right and glazed over brown eyes. He'd be dressed in baggy blue jeans that hung about halfway down his thighs, a red t-shirt and white and blue basketball jersey made for somebody about twice his height, and expensive looking running shoes with some popular brand logo on the sides.

Apparently, the hoodlum wanted Stan's sign.

A guy of equal height and roughly equal weight stood to the left and just behind of the original hoodlum. He too, was white, with short hair except this was left uncovered, but he still donned an angle upside down visor. His eyes were green, and the whites bloodshot, likely caused by the joint he had tucked in the corner of his lip. He was wearing a black and yellow hoody, mostly black with yellow trim, however, there were two large words imprinted in yellow dead in the centre.

THUG
LYFE

His lower half was covered by black jeans, hung about his thighs too, a belt loosely done up although to apparently no effect.

Or not. It just so happened that a sea gull had crapped on Stan's jacket, and had gone unnoticed. The young boy had tried to hold Stan in place, but his hand slid right off on the slippery excrement.

Stan would continue on his way unhindered untill he got to the stadium.

The adolescent would frown, and make chase, smacking Stan upside the head with his crap-laden palm.

"b***h! Betta recognize!"

It was lucky then that the following thug had cut around Stan, blocking off his method of escape.

"Didn't this man ask for your sign you homeless ********?"

Nothing.

For Stan had tripped on his shoelaces and the smack had missed entirely. He pulled himself up and kept waddling.
