"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nora," the young trainer said, giving a slight curtsey. Keegan acknowledged this with a mere nod of his head, waiting for the girl to make a move.
Nora withdrew a Poke Ball from her pocket, and looked at it for a moment before she smiled. "My Pokemon evolved recently," she said. "He hasn't had a chance to battle since then." Keegan nodded again, already fingering the Poke Balls strapped to his belt. He knew that having Helios or Artemis run loose in the grass gym could be dangerous. When the girl finally released her Pokemon, Keegan wasn't surprised in the least to see that it was a grass type, an Ivysaur, no less. Almost immediately he'd clasped Loki's confinement in his hand, and soon the Arbok was looming over the smaller Pokemon, hissing and flaring his hooded body menacingly. The Ivysaur gave a noticeable shudder; Loki's ability to threaten his opponents at the start of battle gave him a slight edge. Keegan felt that familiar, welcoming rush of adrenalin, and the battle commenced.

Kilik paused before taking Mai's hand. He turned around and saw Nina standing on the roof. A pain shot through his chest. Was he really going to fly away with Mai right in front of her? Although, it wasn't much of his choice. "Nina?" he blinked, then saw Flareon in her arms. Kilik lifted the Pokeball that was used to contain the fox. "Flareon, return." A red beam shot out of the ball and engulfed Flareon. The Pokemon disappeared from Nina's arms and was taken back into the ball. Kilik placed the ball onto his belt.
"Sorry, Nina. Please," he turned his back and then looked at her over his shoulder, "Don't follow us." Kilik took Mai's hand and hoisted himself onto the Aerodactyl. "My Nav is still on the ground in Saffron," he told her, wrapping his arms around her waist since he had nothing to hold on to.

Nina's mouth hung open a little for a moment, and she stared at him. "Wh... what?" she asked, jumping a little as Flareon disappeared from her grasp. "I get attacked by a Pokemon, become admitted to a hospital, leave said hospital when even I'm not sure that I'm one-hundred percent better, return to help you fight off a killer only to find that you've been kidnapped by someone, and search around to find you and now you're telling me not to go with you?!"

He gazed at her with a distant look in his eyes. "Look, you don't understand what's at stake," he told her. He pressed his forehead against Mai's back and closed his eyes, "This involves me and Giovanni. That's it. I'm not going to let you get hurt again, Nina. So if you really care for me," he turned his head sharply and opened his eyes, "Then you won't follow. Got it?" It was shocking to even him that he was saying this to her, but here it was in plain English.

"And besides, that Metagross would have crushed him," Mai said with a wave of her hand. "And it's not considered kidnapping if he's going along willingly." She eyed Nina for a moment, and smiled. "It's good to see that you are still alive Nina, but perhaps you should head back to the hospital for now and rest. When Kilik's business is finished, I will return him to your side, safe and sound. How's that sound?"
Giggles made an imapatient nose, scratching the rooftop with his talons. He'd been watching the Dragonair with interest before she'd been recalled. He snapped his jaws at the air in front of him, now glaring at Nina.

"You're right, I don't know what's at stake," Nina replied, "so why don't you tell me so that I can help you? I didn't go through this just so that you could up and leave with some harlot and act like you're being a martyr for this entire ordeal!"
"Nina, calm down!" Anna said; "Kilik isn't stupid; don't you think maybe he knows what he's doing?" Nina ignored her Pokemon and awaited a response from Kilik.

"Think of it this way," he told her, "If I don't go, then you'll end up in the hospital again." He gripped himself against Mai slightly, "Only you won't be waking up...and you won't be getting out." Kilik swallowed the lump in his throat. "So if you want to live, you'll let me do this. Got it?" he looked away from her.
"Mai, let's go. Better not keep Giovanni..." he gulped, "Waiting."

Even though she was shocked by Kilik's harsh words, Mai remained calm, and only nodded. "Yes," she said. "You're right. We wouldn't want him to get upset, now would we?" She pressed her ankle into Giggles' side, and the Fossil Pokemon gave a cry. With a few flaps of his powerful wings, they were airborne. "I'll bring him back to you soon," the admin shouted down at the girl. "I'd hate to be in your shoes if you try to follow us," she warned, smiling darkly at the memory of the Hyper Beam striking the helicopter. "Let's go."
The Aerodactyl was glad to comply, giving one last sharp glare at Nina before letting out a deafening screech as he rode the wind current in the air, taking them high into the sky.

Nina eyed both Mai and Kilik for a moment. She was angry, and it was easy to tell. "All right, fine," she said, sarcasm evident in her voice, as she released Krystal and got onto her Pokemon's back, beckoning Anna to come with her. "Go then, Kilik. But when Giovanni's done using you for his own deeds and he ends up brainwashing you again, don't you even dare come to me." She paused for a split second. "Krystal, take me back to Saffron." Krystal seemed to object for a moment, but she complied. She ascended into the air and turned, taking off.
The breeze ruffled Nina's hair, and a single strand turned black for a moment.

Kilik sighed into Mai's back and pressed the top of his head against her. "We'll need to touch down outside the Center in Saffron," he told her, "My PokeNav is there. Plus, I need to get my Scizor and Weezing." He laughed a bit, unsure if Mai knew that he decided to evolve the Scyther that had been Team Rocket's captive for quiet some time. Although, she would know now. Kilik looked down at the ground and then back at Mai's back.

Mai nodded, and nudged Giggles. The Pokemon was eagerly responsive, perhaps because Mai commanded a certain degree of respect. "So you evolved that Scyther then," she said idly, glancing over her shoulder at the boy. She chuckled, and then continued to stare into the direction of their destination. She thought of what Kilik said to Nina, and then about her own sister. "It always seems like we must hurt the ones we love in order to save them," she said quietly, nudging for the Pokemon to begin to descend. The Saffron Pokemon Center was below them, officials were still running around trying to piece together the chaos that had just occurred. They finally landed, and Mai turned to Kilik. "Hurry up and find it, then we'll search for Scizor and Weezing."

Nina touched down in Saffron, and made her way to the south, headed for Vermillion City. She had no business in the town, but at the time she was so furious that she needed to walk off her anger. She recalled Krystal as she reached the southernmost gate.
Walking inside, she noticed a guard behind a desk. The guard eyed Nina and Anna for a moment. "You may pass through, Miss," he said, in a slightly indifferent tone. Nina nodded and went through; truth be told, she would have gone through the gate even if she was told she couldn't.
Nina found herself at the beginning of Route 6, and she sighed. She walked southward.

Her words kind of hurt him. It seemed every time he turned around, he was hurting Nina somehow. "Why search?" he laughed, looking at the Center. His PokeNav was sitting in the grass in plain sight, and a simple scoop brought it up to him. He placed it into his pocket and caught sight of four figures moving towards the west side of the city. Kilik made a run over and hid behind a building. It was Mike, along with his Scizor and Weezing. Kilik raised an eyebrow. All right. Get them and go. Kilik lifted up a Pokeball and Park Ball, recalling both his Scizor and Weezing. "Sorry Mike. Buisness to take care of." He waved good-bye to his friend and ran back over to Mai.
"Okay. Let's go."

Mike toppled over, the Aerodactyl's descent caused a gust of wind that sent him and Portabello to the ground. "Kilik?" He said with a cough, as he watched Scizor and Weezing disappear back inside their Pokeballs. "Wait, are you ok?" Is that Giggles?" He cried out, only to be talking to the fossil Pokemon's behind, the two flying off without a trace. The boy stood there quiet for a few moments, still processing what just happened.
Well! The Breloom said loudly to break the silence. At least we can get back to our original plan of training master.
To be honest, the title of 'master' was starting to grow on him. He kinda liked the respect his Pokemon was showing. "If only Xanthos was as cooperative." Mike brushed himself off, letting out a sigh. "At least I can say that nothing is ever dull in my life." He said as he walked towards the Cerulean gate.

After a short walk the duo and thier Pokemon had arrived the Pokemon Center. "Kasiya!" Mitsu called waving over to her friend a bit. She soon spotted three bikers who seemed quite intimidating. Karri floated along side Mitsu idly. Mitsu didn't even notice the commotion going on around the television.
