"God knows Penny is an emotional train wreck," She joked with Teagan and started to unsnap the armor fastened to her legs and arms. It was like a breath of fresh air to get them off. Jacen picked one of her plats she had on her legs and looked at the weapon compartments. Just about every one had something hidden.
"You really do come fully stocked," He said as she removed the katana shealth and several other weapons putting them aside.
Stretching her body she tapped on Morgan's boot who was standing near her preoccupied, "If you think I'm bad, you should see what this guy carries with him. Can't ever be too prepared." She feigned a smile and leaned back against Jacen again content with the comfort he presented her. Even butt up against Magneto crony's, his presence made her feel safe.
"I'm sorry I had to leave the beach like that," He answered entwining his arms around her waist as the jet made it's final decent towards home.
Looking sideways at him she lightly smiled, "It's okay. I had to leave for a time too... family things that I don't want to talk about right here."
The X-Jet made it's final landing back home and the usual rang out from Hank McCoy: "EVERYBODY TO THE INFIRMARY FOR A FULL CHECK UP."
Penny groaned and then whispered in his ear, "Want to sneak out of here?"
"Regina," Porter caught up with her slinging weapons over his shoulder that needed to back into the arsenaul, "Wait up."
She stopped and turned around, "I was waiting, you're just slow."
"Ouch," He answered and walked her to the locked storage room where he put the weapons away, "I know I owe you a real date still. Would you like to go out tonight?"

|| Wow, Corky’s getting skitzo tendencies in this one….||
What the ******** is that? Courtney thought to herself, the lovely silence of her suit being broken by a scream. The Brotherhood had only been here a few hours, if that, and someone had already screwed up. Although she wasn’t surprised, Corky was sure this didn’t help her already hesitant feelings for the place. She reassured herself it was probably something Sasha did, who was becoming more and more tolerable lately. It was probably because Courtney and her had the most similar personalities; both being as others would call ‘bitchy’.
Her emo thinking session was over thanks to the sudden shriek, and there was no going back to it. It was for the better, really, because it was getting to get boring and Corky just seemed to go in a circle and still wasn’t getting any concrete answers. A break -even one just to see what was going on- could only be for the better. Especially if it lasted a really, really long time. Courtney was not philosophical at all, and was better just memorizing things and spitting them back out, not finding out why things were.
She stood from her bed and left her room following the sound of the noise. It lead to what looked like a gym area, but Courtney couldn’t get too close, because the excessive screaming was beginning to hurt her hearing.

McCoy quickly dismissed Morgan from the infirmary with a remarkable clean bill of health. The tiny machines flowing through Morgan's body did give some definite advantages. Within a few moments, he had made his way to the showers, where he stood under the steaming hot water, and let it wash away the dirt that had settled on him during the mission. He sighed, watching the water swirl down the drain, carrying the weight that had been on his mind with it.
Feeling refreshedm he grabbed a towel, wrapped it around his waist, and made his way back to his room, where he changed into a plain pair of black jeans, and and a grey shirt. Tying his hair back like hs usually did, he logged on to his computer to check which movies would be playing in the immediate future..
Notcing a blinking icon on his desktop, he clicked on it, bringing up a memo from the Professor.
"Looks like fun. I'll think about it later, though. Right now I've got to focus on organizing this," he mumbled. Maybe I should ask Rogue what she wants to see before I see what's playing, he thought to himself. Quickly shutting off the computer, he left his room to find Rogue.

"I'm too tired for this." Teagan muttered, going through her check up. Basically, she was told to just sleep. She had worn herself out, draining most of her energy. She wandered back to her room, not waiting for Gen. She flopped down on the bed, clenching her mask in her hand and yawning. She looked over at the computer on their desk, noticing there was something blinking.
"Summer courses, eh?" She said, looking over the memo. A smile spread over her face.
"Oh, photography. I'm there." She laughed, kicking off her boots and sending a quick response sign up before making her way to the shower.

"Sure," Jacen said with a smile. Letting Penance go from his embrace, she stood and extended her hand out to help him up. Assistance he was glad to accept. As he stood to his feet, he noticed he was still a bit wobbly. Penance just took his arm and draped it over her shoulders to help him along.
As they left the jet, a horde of students all went towards the downstairs infirmary. Penance and Jacen both headed in the opposite direction. "Where you want to go?," Evelyn asked.
".........Got anything to eat? It's been a few days...," Jacen remarked as he noticed his stomach was grumbling quite fiercely.
"I'm sure I can cook you something up."
"Really? Wow. a**-kicking and a cook to boot? Hon, I think I'm in love," Jacen said jokingly as they both made their way to the kitchen. It took a bit longer than usual, Jacen was stumbling around, even with Penance's help. Soon, they were at the kitchen and Jacen was seated in one of the many chairs at the bar. "whatcha cooking?," he asked.
"It's a surprise," Evelyn said with a flirtatious smile.
"I.......Ok. Don't make it too spicy then, hon," Jacen said as something caught his attention. Professor Xavier was wheeling into the kitchen, the same stern expression was on his face.
"Xavier," Jacen said, acknowledging his former master's foe.
"It's good to see you alive, Jacen," Xavier said, the scowl on his face softening a bit, "Though both of you are supposed to be in the infirmary getting a check up.
"Yea...I needed something to eat first. And the rest can get checked up first before I head down there."
"That sounds reasonable, but honestly, that's not the reason I came down here."
"......Let's cut to the chase then, Professor," Jacen said, showing him some much deserved respect.
"Very well," Xavier said as he wheeled across the table from Jacen. "I wanted to ask you something. How have you been dealing with the Brotherhood's betrayal?"
"As well as you could expect someone to deal after being stabbed in the back by your supposed friends."
"And...have you given any thought as to where you'd be going now?"
"Honestly....," Jacen said as he trailed off while glancing at Penance, "I'd like to stay close to the area.....I think....I think....yea." Jacen was a bit embarrassed, for whatever reason, and couldn't complete his thought. He cleared his throat and spoke up again. "But...if I'm on my own...I think I'd be hunted until the Acolytes got to finish me once and for all."
"They would too," Xavier said as he wheeled back to the doorway. "I'll leave you two alone now. And Jacen?"
"Yes, Professor?"
"There is a free room upstairs if you need to stay for a few days while making a decision, but I'd like to offer you a place here at my Institute," Xavier said as he left the room.
Jacen smiled a bit, and said quietly, "Thank you, Professor."

Sarah got off the bus and shielded her eyes from the bright sun. Damn... It was HOT here... Grabbing her bag, she walked in the terminal. Around her, people were running about, catching loved ones in thight embrace. The girl sighed. Her grandfather had sent her here with the firm order of not coming back until she had gain more control over her abilities. Oh! And she was supposed to found people to help her on her quest. "Great." she muttered. "Why can''t those people be living in Canada?" A flash thought crossed her mind as she invisionned something like the AA but involving mutants. "Yeah... that might help to find them." she said softly, chuckling.

Not that she had much choice in the matter, she couldn't exactly turn her ears off and not listen to the conversation at bay across the kitchen. A faint smirk formed on her mouth but she said nothing and proceeded to burn her thumb on splashing oil from a heavy skillet.
"Oh, you'll heal," Jacen commented as she rubbed the burn against her uniform leg.
"Shush, it doesn't hurt any less," She turned down the skillet's heat. Tasting some sauce to find it not to hot and not to bland, she poured it over the breaded chicken in the skillet and finished what she was doing, "I have to apologize. Regina is the cook of our tandem. I can only make three things well."
"That being?" He asked as she slid a plate of wings on the table.
"Wings, chili, and hm, salads," she picked up a peice and licked the sauce off her fingers, "Eh, I've made better. You know I heard that conversation, right? If you did want to get out of this place at any time... I have this house now to my name that isn't really being used."

"You know....as awesome as that sounds, I think I'll try living the Institute life for a bit....even though I do have conflicting views with Xavier," Jacen said as he looked at the chicken on his plate. "......Hunger is the best spice....," Jacen said, heeding Evelyn's words of caution.
While cutting a piece of chicken, he took a breath of reassurance, then proceeded to slowly chew a piece of his meal. After one bite, he smiled heartily and started to cut into his chicken like a rather hungry madman. It literally had been a few days since had eaten. "Good God....," Jacen said as he saw he was half through, "This is actually pretty good. And I'm not just saying that cause I could eat about 5 plates of this stuff."
"You honestly think so?," Evelyn asked, just a bit intrigued by Jacen's response.
"I honestly know so," Jacen said while cutting into his chicken. He was almost done, and the chicken wasn't even really cooled off at all. Three bites later, and Jacen sat there, leaned back in the chair. He was full, and he felt like he could sleep for at least thirty-six hours.
"That was pretty good.....what say we head to McCoy's office now?," Jacen asked as he put his silvers onto his plate and stood up to take care of his dishes.

Victoria sat in he semi-secluded corner and watched her comrads in a morbid silence. She inwardly envyed them for having a good time...yet she didn''t exactly feel like hopping up and joining them. Why? Becuase she was still mad. At what...she had no clue, but she decided it better to sit there and wallow in her own self pity then join everyone in there little carefree world of fun. Slouching with her head hung low she only saw part of what was happening in the room around her, but all it took was the sound of a loud and familer scream to violently snatch her back into reality.
She looked up just in time to see a giaganic sandcastle faded away into nothing, leaving two rag dolls figures in the middle of the floor. Squinting her eyes she confermed her suspicions...the two unconcious figures were Sasha and Pietro.
"Someone get help now!" She shouted to the now crowded room while reached over to check their pulses. It was there...faint, but there none the less. Letting out a small breath of relef she sat down next to fallen comrads, waiting for someone to come to their aid.
(((Awe... 4laugh ...you two look so cute laying unconscious next to each other. Let me know if I''m blowing this way out of proportion sweatdrop )))

"I'd rather skip it, but I'm sure we'll hear about it," Penance slouched and then put their plates in the dish washer. She hated the Infirmary. It was like their home away from home. She thought about what Jacen said for a moment and was unabashedly thrilled that he was going to stay at the Institute for a time.
He took her hand as she offered it to him for help up. Her body had almost worked away her aches and pains but she knewe that he would take a day or two to naturally work out all of his. They worked their way down to the Infirmary and waited to only be sent away with a few pain killers and a clean bill of health.
"I think the only thing I want now," Penance started, "Is to get the hell out of this uniform and a hot shower. I feel like my body has melted onto the sidewalk in this thing."
Jacen looked at his clothes that had been beat to hell, "Well, at least you were prepared for such a fight. I really liked these pants."
"Touche," She answered and put her hand on one of the secured elevator scanners to open it. The doors closed and she hit the button for the student dorm level. She put her hands on the wall to either side of him and leaned in to kiss him, "Does it bother you that I want to throw myself at you every chance I get."
"Not as long as I get air to breathe once in awhile," He put his arms around her waist but let go when the elevator stopped at the first floor. Looking somewhat guilty, Penance leaned against an opposit wall. Forge walked in and gave Jacen a quick glance that Penance thought to be weird from her friend.
"Hey, Forge," She said, "What are you cooking up down in your lab lately? We never see you."
"Nothing special," He answered and walked out of the elevator saying, "Penance, I have to cancel our Thursday coffee. I've got other plans."
"Oh," She frowned and looked a bit disappointed. Jacen looked at her to ask what that was about but she answered before the question came out, "We just have coffee every Thursday... ritually when we're both here. Have been for two years. That's just weird."
"Guess you'll have to go with me," He bumped her with his hip as they went to locate the empty room that was his.
Penny snapped out of her thought regarding Forge and smiled, "I'd rather have it like that anyway. I just don't like being blown off by friends with no real reason, that's all."
OOC: Editted this slightly from this morning since I'm at lunch now.

Regina grinned at Porter. "You're on. After we get checked out by Hank that is." she added, yawning. "And a nap... that was a draining mission."
"Of course. Don't want to be falling asleep during a movie or dinner." Porter said with a chuckle. Putting an arm around her they headed for the medical room.
Gen followed Teagan silently after being checked over. She was fine, being that she hadn't done a whole lot to help with the mission. At least that was how she felt. She eased into the room and into bed quietly so as not to wake Teagan and drifted off into sleep.
